Strike two. That does it for me. First, a couple of months ago, I ordered something and literally 30 seconds later tried to cancel it. They kept me on their chat for minutes and then calimed it was too late. There was no easy way to do it or any way really.
This time, they cancel my order twenty minutes after I place it!
I ordered for some guests and they arrived to no food because of stupid Grub Hub.
Just go directly to Uber Eats.
For the third time I've had my order picked up and say it's on the way only to never show up. All they do is cancel it, thry don't contact the driver to see what happened, and they don't even offer a credit fir your next order. Also if you're really hungry and didn't have time to cool or stop somewhere you'll be very disappointed when your food just doesn't show up after you wait an hour. This last one I was tracking the driver from the restaurant to my house and he wasn't even close to me when I got a message it was delivered. I get no return text from the driver and all the char person did was take 10 minutes to cancel my order, again with no offer to credit me towards another order. The restaurant I ordered from which I really wanted is now closed as well. Stay away from Grubhub you'll be disappointed and it takes at least 5 days to get your money back. I still got a text after asking me if the driver went above and beyond so do I want to add to the tip.
This will be the last time i use this company for delivery. Total rip off. Way to many frees when you already tip 20%. They didn't even care when i called to ask why the extra charges.
I work for a dining group and our restaurants regularly show up on GrubHub's app and website as delivery options through their service. They post outdated, incorrect menus, then allow customers to order from them, pay, and be left either with food that doesn't match their incorrect menus or no food at all. Our restaurants receive no payment from GrubHub whatsoever, so this is stealing from businesses, and this has happened multiple times. Please don't support GrubHub, either as a business or as a consumer.
Today is the third time I have ordered from grub hub that I have not received my order (restaurant not taking online order). They shouldn't advertise restaurants that aren't open or taking orders, take my payment, and then waste the drivers time and my time waiting on food that will never be made.
I used grubhub the other night and I saw a link that said "redeem free meal". I clicked it, and eat immediately charged $10.79 for monthly subscription. No free meal, just a charge. I tried to chat with help reps, but they hung up the chat on me, and refused to refund my money. I opened complaint with bbb.
Came to pick up my grub hub order and it had been grabbed by another grub hub driver. The restaurant said they have had this issue on multiple occasions and grub hub keeps telling them it's not their fault. Horrible accountability.
We ordered food through Grub hub this evening & my card was charged 4 times with erroneous charges & it took over 3 hours for my order to be delivered. Never ordering again.
I was perfectly happy with grubhub until one time that the restaurant was out Of a particular item. They simply email you and tell you that that 1 meal is not coming apologize and give you your money back for that item. They don't care that there's someone that's not going to get their meal. I tried canceling it entirely but they Refused. They said it was too late because the driver was already on the way to pick up the order, which was a lie! I was forced to take the order with one meal missing. They really don't care that you have been inconvenienced just as long as they get their money. That was the last time I used the app. There are plenty of other delivery services so it wasn't any big loss.
So I pit in a order app said it's being made, wait a hr then it says it's on the way. Then I get a call saying it's canceled and I have to wait 5 business days for a refund?
What if that was all my money in my account I have to wait 5 days to eat dinner? Wow this app is horrible
Came home from surgery and ordered by doctor to eat soft food only. Ordered some Mac and Cheese from a local place called LoveCraft and Grubhub updated me that the food has been delivered. Opened the front door, no food. Called Grubhub and they said the food was delivered. I told them it wasn't. They attempted to call the driver. Driver didn't feel like answering his phone. They offered me a 3-5 business day return on my funds. I'm still woozy from the hospital, hungry and now I'm getting in my car. Never using them again. Buyer beware!
Horrible - they accepted my online order for a local thai restaurant, then it turns out they never placed the order, and canceled it 2 hours later, more than 1.5 hours after it was supposed to be delivered. My kids were starving and grubhub didn't seem to care. Apparently many restaurants refuse to accept grubhub orders because they frequently no show and don't pay. Grubhub is the worst!
Never again. A $46 order was charged $76 to my debit card. Their fees are ridiculous. And I'm fairly sure they changed the tip amount on their end. Why would I tip $15 plus dollars when the restaurant is one mile away. Only Uber eats and Doordash going forward.
I ordered 7 large sandwiches for a very important meeting that was to take place at noon. I placed the order a couple hours earlier to ensure the delivery was on time. It appears that although Grubhub listed the deli's menu, the deli does not use Grubhub. They send the order to a driver who goes and places the order in person and delivers the food. Now this would not have normally been a problem BUT the delivery was LATE and he only delivered TWO sandwiches, completely ruining our meeting with a potential client. Also it seems as though the TWO sandwiches that were delivered were NOT from the deli I ordered them from and half of the meat was obviously tampered with and taken out of the sandwich. When I called the driver back to complain and ask him to rectify the situation he threatened me with bodily harm stating " I will come back there and punch you in the head" which I gladly asked him to please do. We are a security company and most of the staff is armed. This guy sounded drunk and when I entered into the customer service chat with Grubhub they were only going to credit me the sandwiches that were did not receive and not the tampered with sandwiches, until I threaten to call the police on the driver and the media on Grubhub, This was the WORST experience ever and I/we will NEVER use Grubhub again!

So sick of everything being wrong. I can drive, pick up the food and get home before they driver picks up the food. There estimated time is so off and always gets extended. They make it hard to cancel your account as well. The company is completely incompetent. Ciao GH
I want 0 stars! Elizabeth from honolulu hi refused to give me my order. I opted drop off to my door and she was too lazy to park. She sent a fake pic of the undisclosed area of the food claiming a drop off. She also has done this to me 1 time before. Elizabeth is a crook!
Till recently their service was very prompt, but for the last several time, the service was horrible. The guaranteed time was 8:45PM and then push to 9:20PM and we got the food after contacting the Helpdesk around 10:30PM and the food were cold by then. I won't recommend their service to anyone until they fix these issues.
GubHub is the WORST delivery service ever. Instead of delivering our $100 order of sushi, we instead received a kebab and hummus. The Japanese sushi restaurant we ordered from DOESN'T even MAKE kebabs. While we got a full refund, customer service was $#*! and "cannot authorize discounts on re-orders." So I guess this is a company that could give a $#*! if you go hungry because you don't eat meat.
I have ordered several times and had an overall okay-good experiences until tonight. I literally feel unsafe & harassed by the driver leaving me shaking & in tears.
I selected door drop off, it's an option built into the app & I've used it in the past with no issues. The driver tonight called me asking me to wait outside for him (for 10 minutes!), he wasn't even on my street yet.
I didn't know if he was here or not yet so started to get up right away but took me a minute to get up (I'm disabled & occasionally have a hard time getting up, walking/standing) & when I wasn't immediatelyup when he asked 'are you outside yet?! Get outside! Are you getting up!?'(I was working on it) the shouting began, which I don't understand because I later learned he wasn't even on my street. I explained my situation to the driver which, for some reason, only made matters worse. After >5 on the phone being yelled at, & only understanding half of what was being said, although there was no way to misinterpret the tone in which it was being said in, I explained again that I am disabled & can't always stand extended periods of time but could come to the door when he's on my street. He wanted me outside waiting & began yelling more. When he finally arrived >10 into the phone call he tossed my bag on my step without a word & drove off.
It's humiliating & depressing enough having physical impairment & chronic pain I never imagined being scolded by a delivery driver for my inability to wait outside, in the dark, for >10 minutes nor would I have ordered if I knew this was a requirement/need as I know I couldn't do it tonight. I'm now left shaking & in tears from the entire situation.
I contacted customer service, dropped my membership, & never plan to use them again. This was my first terrible experience but it was bad enough I don't want a repeat, no longer feel safe or comfortable ordering, & now this individual knows my address; terrible idea.
I understand everyone has bad days & he could be having one but in no way should I have been yelled at or required to do his odd request of standing outside in the dark for his arrival that took >10 minutes.

Last night I ordered pizza from Boss Pizza and I'm watching the map for the GH driver cause I have gates I need to open. 2 minutes before the driver gets to my house I open the gates and wait outside for them. All of a sudden the app said food delivered! No car around! I call GH and all they say is will cancel your order and refund your money! I said NO WHERE IS MY FOOD? They called the driver NO answer. GH you are awful and so are your people. THANK YOU BOSS PIZZA FOR REMAKING MY FOOD and only charging me for one pizza. So nice and ill be picking up my own food from now on. F U GH

Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.

Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.
