I had a confirmed catering ording (screenshot) to be delivered. When I tried the link 2 days later, I couldn't find a record. So I contacted their customer service. I was rerouted 4 times before being hung up on. Apparently "the restaurant canceled". However, I received no such message from either the restaurant or grubhub. So, grubhub went ahead and placed another order and blocked my money. Needless to say that I can't take a risk with a 35 people party and have booked with someone else while this plays out. Oh, and grubhub even "suggested" I take it up with my credit card company. NEVER ever using them, EVER
This company is Disgusting! I know someone close to me that's been driving for these $#*!s for a year.! His lively hood has depended on it. He's made them a hell of a lot of money when they pay TERRIBLE. He was out driving for them 5 hrs into his shift and had a blowout with his front left tire. He sent them a pic and wasn't able to finish his time allotted to him AND THEY FIRED HIM! His blow out was at 10 pm at night trying to get help n no one around, it cost him a lot of money anyway and they FIRED HIM! How DISPICABLE CAN A COMPANY BE! You guys SUCK AND I PRAY KARMA HITS YOUR CHEAP $#*! COMPANY $#*!ERS!
We don't use GrubHub but we ordered delivery from subway who does use GrubHub and every time we do there is an issue with their driver they never show up to our address and the last time we ordered from them they never delivered our food but said they did… We were told they were going to issue us a refund and it takes 3 to 5 business days to get our money back we waited a week and called to find out where our refund was because we never received it. Magically they could not find our account via phone number or email or name and was requesting an order number when I went to retrieve the order number from my email all of my emails from subway were magically missing out of my phone to suspect as hell and they were absolutely zero help so now we were out 37 dollars and never even got to eat… We will never use GrubHub and we will never order from anyone who does to deliver and I suggest you do the same they are the worst company ever and the worst customer service ever! I'll give them negative stars if I could…

Every time i order food there is an issue from it not showing up and stated as delivered to even customer service, last time i ordered food i was called and told i did not live in a town i lived in and yelled at by the driver, called the helpline was hung up on by the first service provider then was told my meal would be comped and i would get a full refund food showed up 2.5 hours after ordered and cold and hard and never got a comp on a 80$ order
I ordered GrubHub twice this week.The first time, they messed up my order, and were kind enough to refund me. I ordered again tonight: 1 sandwich 2 bags of Doritos. All I got was the sandwich. I contacted the driver.He said,"not my problem, contact the company."I contacted Rodrigo on their chat line.He said they couldn't refund me, because they did so already this week. I said, well, you messed up that order,& you messed up again tonight. I also said I didn't want a refund, just 2 bags of Doritos delivered to me.He refused,& said I had to go through my bank to dispute charges. I then called GrubHub Customer Service,& they verbally told me the same thing. I told them that they were going to loose a customer for life, I would tell all my friends & relatives about them, write awful reviews about them on Facebook, Yelp,& everywhere else I can think of, all over 2 small bags of Doritos. Their response was ' do what you need to do."Alright, I will. NEVER use GrubHub! You will surely regret it,& they couldn't care less.
Today is the third day in a row that I have ordered food from Grubhub thinking they might make their services better but I was absolutely wrong. The food delivered to me was ridiculously cold that it looked undercooked and this has happened third time in a row consecutively. When u reported the error to Customer service, they said "we can't issue u a refund because this is the same problem you are reporting from last three days so system doesn't allow us to process a refund." I am so disgusted at their response, why am I paying you such high cost if I have to stand in the kitchen at the end or throw the food in trash. I don't care about money at this point, they really need to work on their services. They think the customer reporting any issue is always making up stories so don't issue a refund. Why not? If the customer has same problem, obviously he/she is going to report that. It's not our problem that your services are poor. Good luck with you all as I am done with their nonsense! Never ordering from them again.
So i ordered two items for breakfast. One bagel and one quiche. Still, just for these two items, $25... ridiculous, but willing. So the restaurant apparently does not have the quiche I wanted. Do I get a call to offer a replacement. No. I just get notice that they are refunding me the $6 and order is on they way. So now, not only does only one person get to eat breakfast, but I have paid $17 for a single bagel. No communication, no options. I contact customer service and they just say "sorry." Or in otherwords "too bad."
This was the very first time I used any delivery service because I am ill and out of town in a hotel. I never received the food. Their help line was helpful and gave me a full refund, including my rather generous tip, plus a $10 coupon (which I will never use) - but wth!? Just read the damn address & deliver the food or get out of the business. I will NEVER use them again and recommend you don't either.
P.S. ZERO stars should be an option.
I signed up for free delivery with GrubHub during the early part of the pandemic. I tried to tip 30 or 40% to help out GrubHub employees that had lost jobs and now have to deliver food. Over the last few months, orders have been delivered to the wrong address, some took over an hour to receive and the food arrived cold, Most recently, GrubHub has been canceling the orders. My most recent order arrived over 70 minutes late and cold, and that was the final straw with GrubHub. I complained and they sent me a $10 coupon. I deleted the email. Also, why is there an additional service fee if I'm paying $9.99 a month for free delivery? From here on out, I will only order from restaurants that handle their own delivery. Better to pay them a little more than go through the BS with GrubHub.
So I signed up to check out GrubHub and when I did I realized you can only deliver in your delivery region or as DoorDash you go online and can deliver anywhere which is why DoorDash will always be better until GrubHub makes it to where you don't have to go through a lengthy process to switch your delivery regions and makes it to where you can just go online and deliver wherever is busy they will never be as good as DoorDash
Tonight I order my dinner via GrubHub and entered my hotel address for delivery. They charged my card (and the prices for each item were much higher than the restaurant menu, but I was hungry and did not mind). An hour late no food and no message from them. I called GrubHub and they said the order was for pickup, refuse to deliver, refuse to refund me and keep repeating that the order was for pickup. They acknowledge the deliverr addrress on file. I think they were out of drivers and edited my order! Fortunately the restaurant was very nice about and said they would deliver to me, even though they recognize that I am not likely to be a repeat customer. GrubHub customer service line says that after your call you will have a chance to give feedback. But that was a lie too. I guess the rep had a way to disconnect without sending me to the feedback survey, knowing that I had nothing nice to say. Crooks, Liars, thieves, bad service. I am visiting Chicago from California
Ordered online and got my confirmation. Never received my order. Apparently, driver left food at the wrong house. Shouldn't they ring a doorbell to confirm receipt of order, and if not, they have a phone number associated with the order. They should have called to say it was delivered, right? Drivers don't care is the bottom line. They make the establishment look bad. NOT A FAN. Never again.
They will not deliver your food. They will say that they just don't have drivers. The problem is you don't find out until you food is ready at the restaurant and you have waited an hour or more. Just try and avoid this company at all costs
Negative stars! They dont hold the restaurants accountable to deliver edible food. Missing items every order. Usually no utensils. They refuse to refund for inedible food or missing food. Lately the delivered food quality has declined even more. Ive had mostly bad food or missing food and have reported. Instead of helping me, the paying long standing customer, they said too bad. Im sharing with my large company and encourage everyone to avoid grubhub. They wont ever improve or go away if we accept their crappy foods and crappier customer service
My food was not delivered even though the app (yelp) mentioned it was. I was able to call grub hub and cancel my order and received a refund. This morning as I walked out of my apartment complex, I see the food I ordered tied on to the apartment complex gate with my name on it. This is unacceptable. Drivers of grub hub need to be more responsible than this
Ordered food tonight for a group I had over.
I ordered it and it was confirmed and was told my order was on its way. When It didn't show up I called the driver. What a complete moron! He said he delivered it when I told him not to my house and he must have delivered to the wrong house.
He got rude and obnoxious and hung up on me! He left my entire group without anything to eat! This is the kind of incompetent people they have working for them! Save yourself the time and stress and order from there competition!

Grubhub has failed to deliver my order on more than one occasion. When they do deliver, the order always takes longer than predicted to get here and it is cold. Avoid Grubhub for your own peace of mind.
I am reviewing as a business owner of a restaurant. I make sure to check everyday order from Grubhub or Seamless. For some reason, if you add an item from the tablet to an order or a replacement for an item that is out of stock, they don't auto credit you but it's being charged to a customer. Now if I call them for the credit, they will only credit you with the item amount without the sales tax. So, I believe this is where they make more money from the customer's sales tax and the restaurant's as well. This has to be fixed. I hope you Restaurant owners are checking your daily report too. Sales tax is a little amount but if it builds up, that will be millions.

Don't lie to your customers and say that the food is on it's way, when we can see from the tracker that it's not. Don't allow drivers to be greedy and pick up so many orders that the customer suffers and nothing is arriving on time. This is a terrible company full of terrible drivers. Nobody wants cold food that they paid $40+ for. Improve yourselves. And stop defending bad service, not everyone deserves a tip! Reality check!
