A charge from California that was denied by paypal and my credit card started me on reviewing my account. Someone in California tried to order 120 in chinese food and 2 sodas, then tried 116 in chinese food with 2 sodas. (lots of food for only 2 people). I tried looking at the account and noticed they had been adding charges to my account for over a year. Something called Grubhub Seamlessly which I had never heard of. The charges added up to $188 plus change over the time they had been pulling it. I never noticed it earlier as the charges had been around $34 the previous times and that is around what my normal orders totaled after tips and fees. I didn't use them often so I lost track of those times. The most recent charge they added on was $121 plus change in June of this year which definitely caught my eye. I don't know what that seamlessly thing is but it did not go into my belly and I asked for them to research it and refund my money. After many emails saying the same thing over and over from my end they finally replied back to me that my chinese orders were cancelled and refunded. They totally ignored my request for this other thing to be refunded. So I wrote them again and they replied back that someone here must have signed up for whatever that is. The only people here are me and at the time my cat who has passed away since that time. I am 65 and live alone, so no, I did not sign up for anything that I could not eat and my dead cat also denies having signed up for it. They did suggest that I ask my bank to return the funds even though THEY pulled the funds not my bank. DO NOT TRUST GRUBHUB. CHECK YOUR FUNDS EVERY MONTH TO BE SURE THEY DIDNT SCAM YOU TOO!

GRUBHUB does a great job of delivering your food from restaurants when you DON'T WANT TO GO OUT TO DINE. You want to stay home and chill, right? However, what most users don't know is they automatically charge you as if you were sitting at the favored restaurant table being served. If a consumer, like many of us, don't take serious notice to the 'PLACE ORDER' tab, you will pay a tip, without your knowledge. The lowest 'tip' is 18% of your order PLUS a delivery fee. I tip when my food is delivered, always, but they not only charge a delivery fee but 'auto tip' of 18% if you don't catch it. THE KICKER; I did catch the auto tip and put in a 'custom tip' but when I submitted the order it automatically charged 18%. (Attached). I called Grubhub about the issue and not only did they put me on hold for 40 minutes but then they 'LOST' my order. I called headquarters the next day to speak to a Manager and was shuffled between 3 departments, over 74 minutes on hold, and then finally they hung up on ME! I was finally refunded the tip of 24.00 after 3 days. The initial order was placed (and lost) on a Sunday and I was tired. Bone tired but I got in my car and went to the restaurant to pick up a NEW order, GRUBHUB driver called to say they lost it or it was delivered to the wrong address. I asked if they could replace the 'lost' order and it was NO. Message: GRUBHUB the way you 'pay' your drivers is through the sneaky auto tip - you fake the consumer out of money. If the consumer actually wanted to DINE IN, we would be happy to pay for the experience, you DELIVER, you don't SERVE. Your business may have a chance but your response and how you react to issues gives you the hugest thumbs down. Ethically, your brand model will be nonexistent in the next few years. Your consumers are your business. You are in serious trouble if you don't start to learn BEST PRACTICES soon.

Terrible service!
March 3, 2020

Placed an order at 730 which had a delivery time by 840-850 while tracking my order it stated Victor was on the way to pick up my order...@ 820 I received an email that my order was cancelled, they couldn't tell me why it was cancelled but maybe the business closed early for an emergency smh... customer service told me it will take 5-10 bus days to be refunded and gave me a 20$ discount, placed my second order at 841pm which had an estimated delivery by 1015pm than switched to 1050pm@ 930 so I checked my tracker no updates so I contacted the restaurant and was advised that my order was never placed! Contacted customer service yet again as to why it showed my order being prepared but my order was never even received! They had yet another sad excuse telling me it's because the restaurant is a specialty restaurant and that the order needed to be placed by the driver! (What!?) she contacted the driver as so she said and told me that the driver just arrived at the restaurant and was going to place my order and will be have my food delivered by 10pm! At 957 I sent a text to the driver. No response! At 1005 I received an email my order was cancelled yet again! Now I'm heated! Contacted customer service yet again! I'm pregnant and all I want is y food to be delivered! One time mishap okay but two times! I can't even explain how heated this made me! And no one can get ahold of the driver to tell me why if the driver was at the restaurant placing my order, why was my order cancelled and never delivered! And now I have to yet again wait for another refund that they were quick to take out of my account! Never again!

This business is false advertising and they don't even care. I order food from Zaza's from an online menu, and when I went to go pick up my food it was a totally different price. I asked the man behind the counter what do you mean the menu said $6.99 and when I come to pick up my food it is $7.99 which was upsetting but okay its just a dollar more places do raise prices but the order that I order was the spicy chicken with fries and a lemonade. When I went to get my food he told me that there was no lemonade with it said lemonade would be more with the order. The man told me if I wanted to get the the order I will have to pay an extra dollar which I thought was wrong because that's false advertisement you should take that website down and don't try to tell me that it's not you you are the restaurant I order from. The man behind the counter told me plainly well if you
Don't want it I can give you your money back (CAUSE WE GETTING MONEY OVER HERE) HOW RUDE, HOW RUDE those were his exact words. I told him I wasn't paying an extra dollar for a lemonade in the advertisement said it came with a lemonade. Instead of the lemonade they were giving out little can sodas which they are really getting over when there can sodas are only $0.65 where is there lemonades he said would be a dollar this is supposed to be with the meal. He just was really rude not trying to listen to what I had to say he tried to say this wasn't his store and I know it was because the number that I called from the website was *******292 and then they had another number *******489. It just was terrible service and since they know they're making money over there they don't care how they treat people I think this place should be boycotted seriously for anybody. Well that's my rant for the day Nisha signing off.
