Who delivered my Pizza

Ordered from my favorite restaurant, but the delivery was actually from a separate pizza place I have never ordered from. My favorite restaurant was closed on Sunday. Called to cancelled order with Grubhub but it still was delivered. Credit card check required to see if I get my order cancelled.

A rainy Saturday night, I order my food like any other night off Eat24.

6:44pm - Ordered food from Indian restaurant in SD, confirmed for delivery of 7:38pm.
7:23pm - Delivery driver calls to inform me, another driver took my order and that he'd work it out.
8:03pm - Contact Eat24's Customer Service via online chat. Sherm is whom is assigned to me. Calls restaurant, tells me it's on its way.
8:44pm - I tell Sherm "This blows, 2 hours later and still no grub. Excuse my language." He tells me he called the restaurant and ensures me its on his way. I began to tell him about how someone contacted me about the wrong delivery driver. He tells me he's getting back on the phone, to which I told him I'm giving up and going to the grocery store. Wait it's after 9pm the store by me is already closed. No response, so at 9:11pm I close the ticket.
9:14pm - I reopen a new ticket requesting for a refund to Order #816****. I get Sherm again who tells me "I thought my messages were being sent through, the order is on its way, but I am refunding the order, if the food arrives its on the house."

So what did I learn?
1) I can't rely on Eat24 ever again. The refund was nice, but doesn't fix my issue or give me a reason to use Eat24 again. An apology would've gone a long way.
2) Domino's is disgusting but its substance.
3) Oh yea, and that my food never came.

Scam

At this point, my experience as a buyer for food through grubhub was a complete waste of time. I placed an order. It was going to take 2 hour delivery so I called and immediately cancelled my order through the restaurant. The restaurant owner couldn't speak English. I kept asking to make sure I wasn't charged and that I would receive a refund. She kept hanging up on me and saying call internet/call computer. So, I ended up having to contact grubhub and open a claim against them via PayPal. They have poor/unresponsive customer service. It's been a real waste of time. I won't use their app to order food again. I've used other delivery services and delivery apps and have been satisfied.

THIS SERVICE SUCKS!

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I ordered off of the yelp site not knowing that the delivery service wasn't actually from the restaurant. I ordered around 630 pm and saw that my card was charged 52.00. So I checked my status around 7:30 and it said my food would be here at 8:05, I'm thinking that's a long wait but I can deal with it. Now it's 8:05 no pizza, so I check my status and it says 8:20 (also has a timer saying I have been waiting 1 hour and 36 minutes) so 8:20 rolls around nothing. So now I check yelp and the place closes in 20 min, so I call the restaurant and they say that the food has been sitting there and that nobody has come to pick it up, they said I used this eat24 delivery company (unknowingly) so I call eat24 customer service and they say they can't get ahold of the delivery driver. Finally they tell me that he is getting the food. So I asked, I have been waiting 2 hours and the restaurant says the food has been sitting there and I'm charged $52.00 for something I haven't even received what can we do about this? She said she can give me a $6.00 discount (this is what I had already pre tipped the driver on my cc) so I said then I don't even want it, I'm not paying for $52.00 worth of cold food,(but we can send you a coupon she says. Why would I want a coupon to a place that is probably just gonna mess my order up again. So now I have to wait 5 days for a refund when I checked my bank account and they already took the $6.00 off makes no damn sense. PLEASE DONT ORDER USING THIS SERVICE. ALSO FROM ALL TGE BAD REVIEWS I HAVE READ WHY IS THIS SERVICE NOT SHUT DOWN!

Pathetic

I have used Grubhub more times than I can count, and have reached my limit. It is rarely ever on time, missing food items 25% of the time, and customer service doesn't seem to hold their drivers accountable for any of it. They blame the restaurant. If there are missing items, they do not replace the item, just refund what is missing. I work at a hospital and we don't get much time or opportunity to eat, so that process doesn't work for us. By the time we get our food and realize we have missing items, it's too late to get food somewhere else. Sorry Grubhub, but you lost a lot of customers today.

Terrible

Iv used grunhub a lot unfortunately because after work I don't feel like cooking and will order on my commute home. All the restaurants I love and eat at, I order food thru grubhub and it is disgusting. I order from whatever restaurant I love, get a text msg saying they are making my order now, then an hour later grubhub sends me text sayin food is on the way expect it within an hour. I get the food and is totally destroyed (like they shake the boxes the food are in as much as possible so it's a mangled mess), extremely cold and bad, anything with bread is all soggy and too gross to eat, and their delivery people are awful. There is this one young black chick that I guess hates all whites or her job, but what she says and acts I can tell. There is two older white guys I want to punch in the face every time I see them. Don't order anything thru grub hub unless you want to spend way too much money on $#*! food and service

Telemarketing Pimp

The order went though and I got my food when I was supposed to. This would be a win except I made the huge mistake of trusting GrubHub with the personal phone number that I have shared with the restaurant.
GrubHub sold my personal number to telemarketers and they started calling before I even got my food. I will never use GrubHub again.

I placed an order that said delivery would be in 45 min- one hour. The restaurant that prepared my food said that my order has been ready for over 45 min and they could not get a hold of the driver. I called customer service and they couldn't get a hold of the driver either. Almost 2.5 hours later my sandwich was finally delivered.

HORRIBLE Service

To funny! I had the same experience as the last reviewer on this site on Valentines Day. We ordered, our card was charged, two hours later... Nothing!

I called what was said to be the restaurant phone number thru the Eat24 App and to my surprise. It was not the restaurant. It was the delivery service, a girl named Emily. Emily was absolutely no help at all and really seemed to not care one way or the other about the problem...

So here was the problem... We ordered thru the Eat24 app, my card was charged and received confirmation thru email, waited for almost to hours (no food yet) I called the restaurant and they said my order was never received (but yet my card was charged). I mentioned this to the person at the restaurant and he said there was nothing he could do. Funny, that's what Emily said. I also messaged Eat24 thru their app. Nope... No response at all,

This was the second time this has happened with Eat24... Sorry, there are to many other services to continue to use Eat24

Bad customer service

I have used this service several times with no big issues. Today this service was bad. I ordered food at 658pm. I received a phone call at 8pm from this company saying we checked the location didn't get your order did you still want it. I asked how long it would be her reply I don't know. She didn't have any answers which i could understand. However, she did not even offer to find out more importantly the monotone snd disinterested tone of her voice clearly conveyed she didn't care. The only answer she could give me was my card was charged and it may or may not take 5 days to refund me. Which brings me back to why was my card charged for food that was never received to order and why so long for returns. I do credit card returns and a reverse back is quick. Needless to say it will be w long while if ever before i use this service again.

It's really hit or miss

I am a loyal GrubHub user when it comes to getting delivery from places that don't deliver themselves. I have found after using it multiple times that it's very hit or miss. For example, there is one restaurant that always takes the full hour to deliver, and one time I got the wrong burger, but I'm blaming that on the restaurant because the rest of my order was fine. Then now I have found one place that I order from religiously, because I'm addicted, and the order is always here about 10-20 minutes sooner than expected. I've tried a couple other restaurants over my time of using GrubHub and they went fine as well. So my advice is to not let the bad reviews scare you, I'd just proceed with caution until you know how it works for you in your area.

Zero if I could

Placed order at 8:23pm. At 8:29pm the status was updated to say the order wad accepted and to provide a delivery time of 9:35 to 9:40pm. Food was never delivered. Only after I called the restaurant 5 minutes after the delivery time was I ever informed that the restaurant cancelled or tried to cancel the order. So at 950pm I now have no food and most places are closed. I will never use GrubHub again.

Last Thursday I decided to use Eat24 delivery service for lunch. This was a bad decision because my lunch break is only 45 minutes. The food arrived 30 minutes late and the food was so cold that the noodles were fused together. The delivery person had no excuses or apologies. He just said "sign here".

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If you're okay with food orders arriving late, then go ahead and use this service. After delivering my ordered extremely late last year, I decided to give them a second chance. Guess what? It was even more late this time around. I placed an order for 12:00pm delivery and after I didnt receive a confirmation email, I followed up to assure everything was still on track for on-time delivery. I then received a text message that my order would be delivered between 12:55-1:05pm. I would avoid this service at all costs.
The food from Lazy Dog restaurant was really good. But having to make my guests wait almost an hour for food was a complete waste of time.
I will be taking my business elsewhere!

I ordered pizza from Regina pizzeria and my order had never been delivered. I called Dash to find out what happened to my order and they said that delivery guy was on the ground floor with concierge, called me couple times and left without leaving my order to the concierge. However, dispatcher on the phone said that the driver 10 mins away from my area and he will redeliver it again. I waited for another hour and half and no one showed up. I called back to the Dash and the same dispatched I talked to on the phone earlier didn't even bother to let me know that the deliver guy logged out for the night and my order isnt going to be delivered. I am
So pissed. I will never ever use their service again and spread the word about their terrible service.

NEVER AGAIN!

First time user of Grub Hub. Placed my order online at 5:50 p.m. for a 7:10 delivery time! That should have been my first clue. At 7:15 I call the restaurant, they say they never got the order. I call Grub Hub, he calls me back saying the driver islon his way. He wasn't! Twenty minutes later the owner of the restaurant called and said he'd just received the order and it would be another 25 minutes, I SNAPPED! I WILL NEVER USE GRUB HUB AGAIN! LOUSY SERVICE!

Awful service! Avoid!

Late orders, wrong orders, orders that just vanish. I've used this site three times (with two different restaurants) and each was a disaster. It's almost like they're trying to punish you for using them. Well, I've learned my lesson. It's less hassle to just drive downtown myself after calling the restaurant directly than to use this $#*!show of a site and have my food show up cold, three hours late, completely wrong or not at all. On top of all the service issues I had, there are a bunch of other reviews up documenting dodgy payment $#*! grubhub pulls that seems to border on fraud. Avoid at all costs.

Are you so lazy that you can not call the restaurant directly? You leave some third party bureaucratic dot com to make the order for you? Grubhub screws up orders all the time and worse when a restaurant screws up an order, you can not resolve it without a new layer of complexity. Get rid of the middle-man, and do the right thing, can call the restaurant directly.
