I ordered dinner from grub hub tonight and the driver picked it up at 4:27 pm. The driver them proceeded to drive 15 minutes in the wrong direction and park in a neighborhood for well over 10 minutes. I called grub hub and cancelled my order because by this time it was past the delivery time and was still at least 15-20 minutes away. Grub hub happily cancelled the order but about 30 minutes later the driver CAME TO MY HOUSE, parked down the street so i wouldn't see a car outside and then rang my door bell 5 times in a row just so he could argue with me and try to get me to accept the order and to tell me that he was only "a few minutes late" even though by this time he was well over an hour late. We reported this incident to grubhub and were basically told "sorry for the inconvenience". This was not just an "inconvenience" this was DANGEROUS. Your disgruntled employees should never be permitted to psychically go to a customers house to argue with them after an order has been cancelled. This is a violation of personal space.
We ordered and it said 35 - 55 min delivery. We called 1 1/2 hours later to check and was told the driver is on way. 30 mins later the restaurant was kind enough to call us directly to say the order was canceled by Grubhub. I called Grubhub and was told it is the driver's fault and not Grubhub. WTF? How are they not responsible for their drivers? 3 hours and no dinner. Grubhub's solution? "Call and do a new order."
Charged card no refund.
I ordered GrubHub earlier today. When my driver arrived he simply texted "I have arrived". So I looked out the window and saw his car and was waiting for the driver to come to the door with my food. After several minutes the driver called me and stated "I'm here" to which I said "okay, are you going to come to the door?" He replied "no.". I was a little perplexed. Was it because of the millimeter of snow on my sidewalk? So I put on some flip-flops and went out to the delivery driver's car where he handed me my order. Now I was a bit taken a back and, to be honest, kind of angry.
I contacted GrubHub customer service, explained the situation and asked to remove the driver's tip. They then replied that the driver is not obligated to leave their car to complete delivery. Wait... Is this some kind of joke? What's the point of ordering food for delivery and not having it delivered to your door? When I was a driver I brought every order directly to the customer in every season and I live in Minnesota! I was just under the impression that's how you're supposed to do it.
Needless to say I have deleted this app. Call me old-fashioned but customer service should be an important part of providing any service. Even if it is just bringing me a sandwich.
I had the most horrible experience with a driver who's name is Walter Pawlikowski. He drives in the middlesex county area and I'm just saying he gave me and my daughter the WORST customer service experience due to the fact that not only was our food late but it was also cold and he was also terribly rude with a cold attitude. He even had his 7 year old kid waiting in the car and I can only imagine what the poor kid is put through. It was so unprofessional I wish I didn't even have to pay for my order and let's just say my order wasn't cheap which made things even worse. Some of the food was mixed and mushed and I believe he didn't even use a cooler. Horrible experience, people if you get this name I highly suggest you switch!
My daughter and I ordered a simple Wawa meal. After about 45 minutes of ordering (site wasn't working properly and it made me do the order over again, twice) the order finally went through. 15 more minutes went by as the order status lit up saying it was processing, they canceled our order! We called grub hub and there was absolutely nothing they could do for my wasted time except for a 10% off coupon. Chump change for my hour + of wasted time and frustration. The gentleman on the customer service team was very nice and he told me that wawa had canceled the order. Too bad. That should be your satisfaction guarantee to the customer. So basically it's just my problem.
I use to like grubhub because of my work schedule and ordered numerous times a week. Then they started canceling orders without informing me so I would wait over an hour for my food for nothing. Then get told my money won't be refunded for 5 business days which is ridiculous! They tried to lie to me and tell me taco bell was closed at 10pm so I called them and they said my food had been sitting there for over an hour and they don't close until 2:30am. I would not recommend them to anyone. I will stick with doordash now.
Worst service possibly imaginable. This company has absolutely no regard whatsoever for their customer service for your service for your food for drivers or four drivers that do their job and the company screws up. They will not pay for their mistakes, they will not do anything ever other than be a horrible Company. Please stop using their service so that we can have this company shut down. Please use other services. The owners of this company deserve to be arrested. This is the worst company in the world to work for. This company makes serial killers worth having around.
I ordered lunch and was told it would take 30-40 minutes for delivery -- no problem, I could wait; my meeting wasn't going to start for another 90 minutes, 30 minutes later, I got a message saying my order would be delayed by another 30 minutes -- again, tried to be patient, but growing more and more hungry. Then I got a message saying the order was ready, but delayed again because the driver hadn't arrived to pick it up, so it was going to be delayed by another 20 minutes or so. So, all in all, I had to cancel my order and missed my lunch... super unreliable.
The restaurant that I ordered from has been waiting for a tablet fix with grubhub. The driver gave my order to the restaurant, didnt read the special instructions. I recieved my order, it was wrong, I didnt recieve everything that I ordered. The restaurant was willing to redo the order but grubhub didnt have a driver. So after a long day at the hospital with my dad we went to bed with no supper. Learned from this mistake. I am going to make sure that I tell everyone that I know not to use grubhub.
I placed this order 2 hours ago, the restaurant had to prepare the food twice, as of this hour, the food STILL DID NOT ARRIVE. They keep saying wait 15 minutes or cancel the order. I will never use them again. UBEREATS IS SO MUCH BETTER.
I used to never have issues with them. Thet were always awesome. Customer service was great always on time, no issues Etc. But I moved ro a different city and it ended up being a disaster. I have put instructions for the delivery driver d none of them follow it. One of them actually yelled st me poon the phone and straight up told me no. When I went til get the food from her. She was on the phone ans threw the food st me and stormed off like I was an inconvenience. I notified grub hub of this ans all I got was a refund and a we will check on this. I doubt it. I asked grub hub if that have apolicy against my instructions and they said that the drivers are ro follow it. None of them have and all I get is none of them following it and having drivers yell st me for it dnd refuse too
I waited for my food for 2 hours. There was no way to cancel my order and so I still got charged. The app has no customer service so there is no way to complain to anyone and there is no one you can talk to. Gubhub does not protect its customers at all.
Over an hour and a half of placing the meal, I finally get notified that my food would not be delivered and would be canceled... But what's this? A 50% coupon. It'd be much better if they had better customer service, smarter technology, and more restaurants. This is the worse delivery service I've received. They only draw people in with coupons. Not worth the time.
When I first started using Grub Hub, it was a great service. Convenient, timely, and good customer service. The last few times, there has always been an issue. Today, I ordered food at 1:54 p.m. to a restaurant down the street. It is now 3:05 and they just called me to tell me that the main soup I ordered was not available so they would be refunding my money. Over an hour later and their solution was to refund my money? The driver had texted me a minute after and asked if I wanted something else instead, but the "customer service" at GrubHub had already made that decision for me.
Whatever happened to good old customer service? These services are a dime a dozen now, so I guess I'll take my business to one of those.
The customer service there sucks and they are never on time and the driver's sometimes steal your food or eat it.
I ordered almost $60 worth of food. I got a notification that my food was delivered when it clearly was not. They told me he "attempted" to deliver it and couldn't... then they told me no one would be bringing my food. When I informed them that I had been at home by the door and no one even tried to knock, they told me that I would only be getting a 50% refund. So not only were they not bringing my food, but they were also charging me $30 for absolutely nothing.
At first we thought they were very accommodating. However, as soon as we needed to add items to our online menu we started having issues. They make it extremely hard to have anything resolved. There is no one person to speak to when you have a problem so you end up getting bounced around from representative to representative. And when you think you're finally speaking to a manager they tell you "I'll have to transfer you to my manager." WHAT?! It's just insane. When finally I realized they were not going to fix the issues I have I told them I wanted to cancel my company's account, they were delighted. Unbelievable. Stay away from GrubHub. There are so many other companies out there.
GrubHub is ridiculous do not waste your money they have the worst customer service and they will steal your money! I don't normally do bad reviews but in this case it's ridiculous enough what I went through to warn others! You'd be better off hiring a neighbor kid to go get your food.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
