Great products at good prices and conveniently shipped to me at home. I'm not a fan of shopping for these kinds of things, so I really love it.
I really like that the paper products I am purchasing are made from Bamboo (better renewable than trees).
Grove has great products! I love the freebies and incentives. The shipping times are super quick as well!
Well first off where do i start. Well i was tricked into a so called try it free and a test our products kinda deal, so i tried it was neglected to be told it was only a free trial for a membership ended up getting charged 20$. No big deal i thought its fine ill roll with it accepted the membership, then all of a sudden i got charged an extre $40 for stuff i never bought. I ended up having to fight with them about this with them claiming i had bought these items when i never did… ended up disputing it with my bank and getting my money back. I would not recomend these scammers and thieves it is a trick to steal your money and lie to you causing you issues and possibly depending on your finatial statues to go into the red causing fees and other issues. Moral of the story if they dont straight up tell you there is a membership involved in an email they send you then dont fall for its free try it and test it deal. Or you might end up like me and almost getting scammed thank god my bank is not afraid to dispute charges with places like this.

I was charged over $100 for stuff I did not order. I was told I need to take it to UPS to return it. UPS is 45 min away from me one way. The CS rep to me it is only 26 min away from me but they have not driven these roads it is not 26 minutes, I live on them so I know. I do not like having my money charged without my knowledge and held for ransom for me to go over an hour during a pandemic to the town over from me in order to return something I did not order.
They told me since it was such a big order that they could do nothing unless I were to return it.
This order contained items I would never order and do not want or use.
Basically they can charge you for whatever they want call it a big order and wont refund you unless you go through loops to get your money back. They are scamming people.
I was told that them sending me a UPS label was all they could do for me the exact quote:
"We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. However, at this time, we have used all of our available resources to resolve this situation. Is there anything else I can help with today?"
This is the extent of their customer serivce. People should know this is how they treat customers before ordering. They will act like they can do whatever they want with your card.

Items in your product subscriptions will be automatically placed in your cart based on those settings. Removing items from your subscription does not remove them from your cart if they have already populated for your next shipment. I just now tried to use their website. I tapped on 1 item then back arrowed. It put 13 items in my cart! I managed to X out of 7 items but it kept saying 6 items were still in my cart so I decided maybe if I go to check out I can delete the rest. Nope. It said I had a zero balance but. You guessed it. I still have 6 items in my cart. SOOO then I tried to go back to the page to the section I wanted "pets" and it wouldn't open. I'm SOOO glad all that happened cuz it made me come here to read reviews. Most of which are bad and they only have a 2.64 rating out 5 indicating that most people aren't happy with them, customer service, billing, shipping etc. I'm never going to their website again and will be blocking them when they send me emails I stupidly signed up for. My suggestion to them is clean up your act if you REALLY care about the environment the way you claim too, and Instead of making people sign up for auto ship "I NEVER do that btw cuz its impossible to get companies to stop without a fight & I always get over charged" just offer the free gifts after a customer has purchased a certain dollar amount of products from you and make sure whoevers handling your orders is legit not some cutthroat outfit from China or wherever. And make sure you have live representatives to help people, you'll be creating jobs.
I will preface this by saying that I have had a good time with my first two orders from Grove. I had seen their ads on facebook and after multiple trips to the supermarket and big box stores, I have been unable to find basic cleaning products due to pandemic hoarding. Usually what is left is the ultra expensive organic options or the ultra cheap options that might as well be made of water. I've also wanted to be more in charge of my environmental footprint.
There is no such thing as a free lunch, so I did my due diligence and looked up other reviews and how the VIP service works before signing up for the free $30 Mrs. Myers kit with the caddy, dish soap, hand soap, and all purpose cleaner. The VIP auto ship service sends items on a recurring basis, and you can add or remove items, change ship frequency, and it also adds recommends items to your auto ship cart as well.
I think this is where Grove is upsetting people. I think $20 for a year of VIP (free shipping) is a good price, but why would I need a new bottle of toilet cleaner every single month, like it recommended? The same for a 45ct of laundry powder packs, I'd have to do 1.5 loads of laundry a day for a month to use an entire bag. The recommended auto-ship frequency needs to be lowered for many of the items, otherwise people are going to be upset that they are being sent these items so often and cancel their service. This either implies that the products aren't as good as typical store brands and you need to use more to get a similar effect, or that Grove is trying to sell you more than you need, which is a bad look for a company saying it wants to be sustainable.
Overall, the product selection is good, and they allow on-site reviews so help you decide if you want to get a product, but you need to be diligent and look through your subscription items and subscription frequency if Grove isn't going to tweak its system to recommend better auto ship frequencies.

Customer service sucks at this company! Shipping Sucks at this company. My first order with them was sent to the wrong address even after I contacted them to let them know in which they had me contact the shipper over an hour later was told everything was corrected. Guess what no it wasn't went to the wrong address. Contacted Grove had to re-order everything too much of a hassle for them just to send out the order I had submitted I guess. That order when tracking it stated it was being held in the warehouse contacted Grove again was told oh that shipment was damaged in transit. Never heard anything after that until I got an email (after sending a not so nice email) that the replacement (3rd replacement shipment) was out for delivery hmmmm still haven't gotten that one. Called Grove once again snotty customer service agent was like it looks like it is out for delivery it is 8pm don't think so she then said well if it doesn't show up just call us tomorrow I said cancel everything and give me my money back. She replied back in a not so nice tone everything is cancelled see if it shows up if not call us back for a credit. I hate this company!

You sign up for a 3 month VIP membership, and it tells you that your orders will ship the same date each month, so IF YOU DON'T REMIND YOURSELF TO GO IN AND CHECK BEFORE NEXT MONTH SHIP'S OUT, Grove will assume you'll want the same stuff as the previous month AND they'll send products they think you'll like, or that are really popular with other customers, who have ordered similar items you've ordered. AND GROVE SENDS YOU AN EMAIL TO LET YOU KNOW YOUR NEXT ORDER IS ABOUT TO SHIP, as a reminder, so you can log in check your cart.
THIS ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE. They warn you about this when you sign up! There's no fine print' dumb dumbs.
I gave them my $19.99 after 3 months because I LOVE THE PRODUCTS, I LOVE THE CONVENIENCE, and I LOVE EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS COMPANY!
All I need to do is check-in once a month to make sure they send me what I need and don't send me what I don't!

CAUTION. Very deceptive business practices. Difficult to cancel. Difficult to get returns/refunds. HAVE you ever NOT been cheated by a firm that uses (relies on) deceptive business practices. MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with Grove: I entered my cc and it put me back to the order screen but changed what was in the cart. I looked at order history and saw it was blank. I went back to the cart and placed the order. Now my order history shows 2 orders and WORSE - I had to find in subscriptions (a completely separate page) that now I had a VIP membership to be charged on my credit card. I immediately contacted support via Chat (about the only way to talk to someone). They would NOT cancel the orders. NOPE - no chance of that depsite the orders being placed less than 5 minutes previously. They did email me one shipping label. When the boxes came I realized that I needed another shipping label so I went back to their CHAT box for support. I was sent another label - to a different location. I sent a chat back that the return addresses were different. Alas... I have to do other things - like work - instead of chat back and forth with a firm that has neverending excuses, incompetence and BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES.

Do Not purchase from this company. They will bill you without your consent which is all sorts of illegal.
I placed an order due to an enticing email offering me free products which I fell for. I was supposed to get three free items and even placed more items in my cart so I can get the additional free item. That's how they make you spend more money btw. After I placed order got confirmation thinking all was well.
I reviewed order by chance after a couple of hours and discovered that one of the three items was missing. My request was simple. Pls ship the missing item. I spoke with three people total to resolve the issue. Said they're NOT able to but instead they want to give me credit for my next order! I said NO! I don't wish to spend anymore at this time and I want the three items with matching scent in my house! I was told they're trying to eliminate carbon print blah blah but offered to send a return label so I can return items and start my order all over! So now I also paid for shipping and again offered to remove on my next order! Talk about eliminating carbon print! 25 minutes later a simple request to send missing item still not resolved and I'm beyond frustrated at this point! I finally told them to unsubscribe me me never to send me any correspondence! Ridiculous! $5.75 item to make me happy and we ended up with a customer not coming back! Sayonara Grove!
