This is my second order from Grove and I'm pretty impressed with the products. They're not extremely high and you're helping the environment so that's good. The only problem I have so far, is that I ordered these trash cans on clearance for $25. But they're not trash cans or recycling cans they're more like bins. I'm not going to return them but I won't be ordering anything else for a while.

Taking free items from Grove is like taking free candy from a stranger.
I got some free samples from them in earlier orders but somehow those "free" samples became subscriptions! I never subscribed to any of those free samples. But out of the blue I get a text telling me that my next "auto shipment" will occur in a few days… I never authorized that. This is very bad business practice. Cancelling and never looking back.

Brand new customer, ordered three times and still have not received a single package. The first order got lost in the mail, so customer service was quick to re-ship it...except there were now mistakes to my shipping address. When I tried to correct it as soon as I noticed, no response from customer service and never received the second order. Finally got in touch with another person of customer service who apologized for the mistake and refunded me full store credit so that I can fix the address and submit my order one last time. It was supposed to arrive today and it hasn't shown up. Concerned, but not surprised. If this next order does not show up, I'm disputing with PayPal to get my money back. I'm more sad than anything- the products look great and the customer service seem like very nice people.

The biggest turn off and why I stopped buying on their site is that everything you order gets thrown back into your cart for a monthly refill whether you need it or want it or not. So you have to remove these items every single time. You only learn this after they auto bill you for the order.
Next issue is the products are great and a fail depending on which, for example, their spray bottles are a great idea but they don't spray half the time. Spray nozzles have worked perfectly for decades and they an't get that right?
Too many other options to buy from these days so if it isn't easy, why bother? And I don't.

Sounds like Grove has a great mission and I wish them success. I thought it was weird to see their "European Hand towel" with a "made in China" label. I don't use enough product to warrant monthly delivery. I live near Target where I can purchase as needed. I feel the Grove passion so I will give 3 stars. Need more product offerings for me to return. Thank you!

I tried to cancel my subscription and no matter how you navigate their website or app, it keeps sending you in circles. It's very vague and I just want it permanently cancelled. It's the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I had turned off my subscriptions, all of them. I placed an order, and they sneakily turned back on subscriptions for me. Then they sent me everything that I had just ordered 2 weeks prior and charged my card again. Very shady business.

Beware of them turning on subscriptions that you have turned off in the past and then blaming you for it.

I don't believe I have had issues. I have a subscription, but it is never sent unless it is for a certain amount of money. They always send a reminder e-mail, so I can log in and update my cart if I need to. This means that I will only receive a shipment when I need the items. It's been a few months since my last shipment, but today I received a reminder and logged in to update my cart. Next month, I will receive the items I need. It is very convenient. I also love that they have Mrs Meyers products. I can get the special edition soaps like peppermint and daisy!

I placed an order a month ago and an item had opened up and spilled inside the package. They wouldn't re-ship just that one item, so I had to place another order. They sent the wrong item on that second order not once, but twice, and I asked them to reship and make sure the people in the shipping department know about their mistake, but they just issued a credit so I could order it again and hope for the best. Oh, and they tried to sign me up for a subscription yet again, but I caught it and cancelled it. If this third try at getting the product I wanted in the fragrance I specified doesn't work, I'm cancelling my account for good. No one needs this kind of aggravation purchasing cleaning products and such.

Their "customer service" is all email, boilerplate text, no empathy, not at all what you'd expect.

The products were very good; but, my reason for 5 stars is solely based on the immediate response I received to an issue I had with automatic shipment. When I signed up for service I didn't realize I opted for auto shipments. When I was surprised by a notice of an upcoming shipment and an automatic charge for products, I reached out to customer service at 9:39 PM on April 20th. Not only did I receive a reply to my issues, my issues were resolved the next day with an apology and a full refund.

Since Grove went public and now there is no way to reach customer service after business hours EST. The text number doesn't work either. My box arrived damaged and soaked with an unsecured bleach based product which damaged not only the merchandise, but my clothing as well. After years of monthly orders, I am cancelling.

I'm using bamboo TP now, thanks to Grove.
I've been thrilled with my Grove.co membership from 2020 to present (2023 July).
I love supporting their mission of plastic-free and natural.
All their products are cruelty-free, non-toxic, no animal testing, etc.
They have their own product lines of cleaning and personal care items, as well as my favorite brands, like Dr. Bronner's, Murphy's, Seventh Generation, Method, etc.
It's easy to choose which items are on monthly subscription and which items are just one-time purchase.
I haven't had any bad experiences, I wonder if all the bad reviews are from people who just wanted to get the free gifts for signing up and didn't pay attention or read that it's a subscription service, which was very transparent.
I voluntarily signed up for the annual VIP membership, which unlocks free shipping for much cheaper than Prime.
If I can add a feature request: I miss being able to have some products shipped bi-monthly or quarterly. This former feature was advantageous for Grove as well, when I was buying on recurring subscription, I often accidentally over-purchased and would stash away extras until needed, but now I only keep a small number of essentials on subscription and just wait until I run out of other items to order more.

Pay Attention - If you don't want something on monthly subscription, make sure you uncheck that box.

Lack of resolution and customer responsiveness. Was actually told by the supervisor that I am not a valuable customer cause I complained about my first order and they are not interested these customers long term. Literally! All I asked was for a replacement for an item that came broken! Then I went to my account and they had wiped me clean- no account existed- that includes erasing my order history, and my VIP membership- which costs $20 all gone! What extortion and arrogance! Seems like if disagree and ask for something against their policy - like please replace the broken item- you get the "cancel culture" treatment. Move on,
There better more ethical companies out there.

I've used Grove for about two years now and was aware I had to always watch my cart for extras they sneak in there but was generally happy with the products. As of recent, the same order has been "damaged" in shipment and returned 4 times. I finally requested a full refund and to cancel. Grove needs to figure out the shipping issues and tell the customer what's going on. Don't say it's been shipped if it hasn't.

I ordered their service for my daughter as a gift and luckily I had it mailed to me. When I received it, the box was empty, just packaging paper and a welcome card. Not sure what type of game they are running, but I will not ever order or recommend them. Thought that it would be okay because I see the brands in store.

I've been very pleased with all of the Grove products I've tried and I find their service is as good as the current Corona virus situation allows. What I mean is that sometimes certain products might not be available due to excessive demand, which I completely understand. Otherwise, the company is very good about saying what and when they will ship and my shipments arrive on time. I had trouble with the contents of one rather large order right when the pandemic was throwing everything off track in April, but Grove was really good about correcting all of my issues and I haven't had problems since.

Gal was very nice. I received a damaged box that was crushed and they shipped me my entire order at no charge. That is good customer service! Products are great too, love the smell they leave. I had a good experience that started off bad.

When I first started Grove I had no real problems. Recently there is something wrong with their shipping. It seems they make the shipping label but the item never gets shipped. The first time they told me it was lost in the mail, no big deal it was reshipped right away, the very next order it happened again. Customer service was very responsive and polite and reissued the box again right away along with a credit to my account. It's 3 days later ( email said it will go out in 24-48 hours) and the tracking number still says it has not been picked up just like the last 2 boxes.
Reading other reviews u see this is a recurring issue. I think I'm done with Grove, I can find similar products elsewhere
Tip for consumers:
Vip members do get free shipping BUT there is a minimum dollar amount, so if you you don't need much one month, Surprise you have to pay shipping.

Have been with Grove for 2 years. Grove notes that they are committed to becoming plastic free yet many of their products continue to come in plastic bottles and their cloths are 80% polyester and 20% polyamides? Is Grove just another gimmick playing on people's desires to become environmentally responsible while continuing to do the same as any other company? If they can't truly stand up to their pledge to protect the environment how are they any different than any other brand name cleaning product company?
Tip for consumers:
They will tell you that it's not in their hands to completely be plastic free but the truth is that clothes don't have to be polyester at all they could be organic cotton. Plastic bottles could be substituted with compostable plastic or come as a powder in a paper packet. There is no reason for this outside of a lack of effort to stick to ideology due to profits coming first.

I was excited about these products and free gifts. Submitted a fairly large first order but noticed that some extras were added. Before checking out, I meticulously went through the lost and deleted items. I checked out and agreed to pay the $72. But then when it got the order email there were random items added that were not free, bringing my total up additional $20.
I called and immediately cancelled my trial membership and order. The scam nature of sneaking other items into my cart after check out didn't sit well with me.

The company add products we purchased before on the order form and we have to delete a bunch of items to order what we just need. Not sure if the intention is to be helpful but the pre-deletion order is somewhere like $180 and what we end up ordering is around $70 average. Rather start with an empty cart.

Grove.co really carries great products. However, the prices are almost always higher than Amazon or Target. Also, the site often has a lot of strange issues--for the last month, none of the images on the desktop site load. It's quite bizarre.

I like the idea behind Grove but at times I just feel like a number not a customer. They offer free trial items when you order a certain amount, which I do and NEVER get the freebie. Definitely disappointing! Shipping takes forever and you can't get ahold of anyone. It is time to up their game as there are other options

Reviewing Dispensaries really comes down the what the Buyer brings to the table. You learn a lot about yourself in these trials of heightened awareness over a Pandemic crisis, and your means of coping. It helps to religiously adhere to your own personal preferences without budging (if your a stickler) so that YOU are not disappointed when you leave. You Know what You want! Can't blame the seller. Even if your ideas gets shrouded in overcorrecting. If they don't have what you want, don't necessarily venture up that road of chance~ Go Somewhere Else. They'll have what you want... Or wait!
