Love GoodRX so glad my friend told me about it. It has saved me hundreds of dollars on my medications. We do not have drug insurance other then Plan D which covers hardly anything. Had a issue because Walmart was going to charge me more then my GoodRx said. Called good RX and Raymond called the pharmacy, He got it down 27.00 more and told me he was contacting head office regarding this. Still saved over 200.00 on the script. When you call Good RX someone helps you immediately, no pushing tons of buttons to get help.
At first goodrx was helpful In finding decent prices.
It allowed me to make an educated decision as to which would be the best pharmacy for a particular med. Lately it seems the price is always higher than the coupon even though the PIN number matches. Upon contacting customer service... after getting through that awful automated system... I was told the price is always an estimate and may be off. I guess the best thing to do is call around (fun! More automation!) to make sure prices match.
All of our coupons are based on contracted rates at pharmacies and are used thousands of times every day without issue. If you're having a problem, we'd love to help - please email help@goodrx.com. Thanks.
We have a large dog with congestive heart failure who requires several expensive drugs. GoodRx was a lifesaver for him. Drugs that are $80 I got at $15. Kroger took the coupon for a canine but Walmart won't so I guess I'll be moving my prescriptions to Kroger.
:)
I used good rx coupon for the first time today and it worked great. After the Meijer pharmacy ran coupon thru it came up about three dollars cheaper than expected. This site save me almost $ 80.00 over what I was going to have to pay thru mail order with my insurance. I will defiantly check this site before fill any rx.
I've used this website a few times for coupons on my medications. I like that it lists several stores and their prices for your medicine so you don't have to physically go there or call to price it out. You can have your medication mailed to you in some cases. It's worth a look, every little bit helps.
My husband and I save 30% on our prescriptions every month. Publix was charging $183. After seeing the TV ads I thought I would see if this was real. I downloaded the app and checked the prices of our meds. I found that by switching to Kroger and using the app we could save $56.90. That's real money to us. Now our new pharmacist at Kroger automatically checks between our insurance and GoodRx and uses which ever is lower. Thank you Kroger and Good RX. Our insurance company and our former lazy pharmacist should be ashamed of their price gouging practices. It's real folks.
Glad we can help you save, Joann!
Absolute CRAP. Don't waste your time. It is better to approach pharmacist and tell them you have no insurance. Ask if they can apply any discount coupons for you. Usually they are very nice about it and get better prices than goodrx anyway.
Happy to help. Email help@goodrx.com
My normal cost is $233 per refill of my medication, I've never used good RX before. I downloaded the coupon and took it to my local Giant Eagle and got the same refill for $11.33! Amazing I had zero trouble and they filled it super fast I highly recommend this app, just do your homework and call around and see who takes it it's that easy.
Hello Mike! We are so happy that we are able to help you save on your medications. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else in the future.
I have a very Critical Chronic condition and lost my job as a result. Good Rx coupons have saved me a great deal of money when insurance would not cover scripts. Great company. These guys are life savers!
Hi Bethany! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. So glad to here we were able to help you save.
I have used GoodRx a number of times. It may not be convenient but it has saved me money. Only once at a Meijer did they have an issue with using the card. Just yesterday we got a prescription that was $122 with our insurance (have not met the deductible) for about $17. It pays to ask.
If you ever have issues using a GoodRx coupon, just let us know and we can help. Pharmacies are usually contractually obligated to accept GoodRx coupons. Email help@goodrx.com. Thanks.
I first used GoodRX just over a year ago and was surprised at the savings even when compared to my insurance, it made sense to pay out of pocket and use GoodRx. Then I tried to use it again for a different script and the experience was totally different. I went to three pharmacies and none would honor the GoodRx price. Now that I'm about to refill the first prescription, the price has nearly quadrupled and is now significantly higher than I can get through my insurance. I guess as many have stated this is hit or miss, but don't be surprised if you are in for a poor and embarrassing experience at the counter.
Hi Michael - sorry for your difficulties. GoodRx only provides coupons that are based on actual contracts with pharmacies. If a pharmacy is refusing a coupon, it's most likely because the pharmacist either doesn't understand how to process our coupon or doesn't want to provide the discount to you despite our contract. 99% of folks who use GoodRx don't have any issues, and when someone contacts us (info@goodrx.com) we can almost always resolve to your satisfaction. Again, sorry for your issues, but we'd be happy to help resolve it if possible.
Often times the prescription price isn't anywhere near the coupon price and the company doesn't seem to care considering it would be an easy app edit to add a "send feedback" so they could make an attempt to correct the price difference. It says to have the pharmacy call if it doesn't work but they they don't. It's a real hassle to switch your schedule 1 (narcotic) prescription when goodrx or the pharmacy are wrong. If they had a "feedback" option this review would be going there but GoodRx isn't great at automated customer service.
Hello Marisa--We’re very sorry if you experienced trouble using our coupons at the pharmacy. Our Advocacy Team would love to look into this for you immediately and ensure this is resolved! Please contact us at 888-799-2553 and we will get started.
As a pharmacy Technician I can tell you this is a nightmare! I understand people want to save money and that is fine! But then we get the customers that are just doing it to save a nickel! It is time consuming and it takes away from us being able to fill a childs antibiotic that someone is waiting on! Also prices are not always what the app says and they yell at us! Hoping our pharmacy will eventually exclude good rx for good!
My wife takes a generic med which costs (with insurance) $300.00 for a 90 day supply from CVS. Today we refilled that prescription at the same CVS pharmacy using a GoodRx coupon and the cost was $103.00! How great is that?!
Sometimes they take the coupon, most of the time they do not. Its a 50/50 chance at my local Walgreens.
If they always accepted goodrx, it would work out even better then insurance for me. Unfortunately this is not the case.
If you're having issues using a coupon, please email help@goodrx.com so we can make it right.
I wished it did work, lol. Printed off the discount drug coupon. Went to Walgreens and ordered prescription and gave discount drug coupon to when ordering. Went back next day and the price was the same as it was prior ($230 vs $91 Goodrx). Emailed Goodrx and they sent back 3 or 4 emails from different people that said the same thing. Basically that each pharmacy can choose to honor coupon or not. Guess what, none do. I tried Walgreens and then went to Kroger,,, nada, zip, zero, nope. I ask Goodrx to call Walgreens. Gave them all the details they asked for. Nope, no call. Just crickets. It really is too good to be true.
Hi there - we can help (and sorry for your experience so far). Thousands of people use GoodRx each day without issue. Can you email help@goodrx.com and we'll get back within a few hours?
I'm sorry all these other reviewers had negative experiences with GoodRx. Maybe the problem is their pharmacies. I just got a prescription filled that was quoted as $213 with my new insurance for $75 with GoodRx - and the Walgreens where I went was more than happy to use the coupon. Granted, it's hard to get excited about paying $75 when I used to pay $15 with my old insurance, but it's tons better than $213!
I made an appointment with GoodRx care and had an appointment with Ashley Calta. Ashley is the worst kind of nurse, where she completely ignored the information I provided and maliciously ended the meeting in blatant violation of NV law. She actively committed wire fraud and medical malpractice during the call and refused to prescribe the medication I needed as part of a routine refill after moving states. She acted with direct malice in making an inaccurate diagnosis to prevent me from receiving my medication. Ms. Calta is a horrible nurse and a horrible person. I would certainly not advise using GoodRx Care.
We're sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience during your GoodRx Care visit, Brian. Per your request, we have issued a refund for the full amount of the visit -- it may take 5-10 business days to reflect in your account. While we cannot comment on your specific course of treatment in such a forum due to privacy concerns, know that we take customer satisfaction very seriously. The providers on GoodRx Care adhere to acceptable standards of professional care and judgment when it comes to treating patients, and, ultimately, not all conditions/refills can be issued depending on the circumstances and the healthcare professional's judgment.
I see some people here complaining. Well, I believe that goodrx is great because I still don't understand why they give us this discount. I had no insurance and the prescription that I take cost 215$ with good rx I pay 32 $ so it is a blessing!
Up until a few weeks ago I'd had very good luck with GoodRx. It had helped me find the best nearby price several times, but in the past 2 weeks, I've made 4 separate trips and took 2 different scripts to 3 different places, (inconvenient places!) that GoodRx showed would have the best price, but none would honor the GoodRx coupons. I've contacted Customer Service twice, once by phone and once by email. They gave me incorrect info by phone, and the emailed reply was not helpful either.
All of our coupons are based on contracted rates at pharmacies and are used thousands of times every day without issue. If you're having a problem, we'd love to help - please email help@goodrx.com. Thanks.
Answer: Yes we do. Just present coupon to save. Have a nice day
Answer: If you have any questions, we're here to help - please email help@goodrx.com and we'll get back quickly. Pharmacists have the discretion to honor or refuse controlled substance coupons, but most of them (like 99%) will take them, which is why we list them (and indicate that they may not be accepted). Hope that helps.
Answer: Hi Terry! You will need to present the coupon to the pharmacist, usually before, they fill a prescription. If you doctor's office is willing to do so for you then it may be okay, but we would suggest you present a new coupon each time you fill or refill. Sometimes our prices fluctuate and checking the coupons may get you a deeper discount. If you, or your doctor, presented a coupon and the pharmacist, for whatever reason, says the coupon cannot be used please give us a call at 1-888-799-2553, our Advocacy Team would love to assist you! Our hours are Monday-Sunday, between the hours of 8AM and 7PM CT.
Answer: Hi there - can we help you? Head to our help section for information on how we do business.
Answer: It takes very little time. Immediately after sign up you'll receive the information you need to purchase at our discounted rates.
Answer: Hi Shirley! We list coupons for Phentermine here: https://www.goodrx.com/phentermine Please be sure to update the script details and zip code to see prices for your area.
Answer: Please give our GoodRx support team a call at 888-799-2553, so they can contact the pharmacy regarding the price discrepancy, Steve. They're available Mon-Sun, from 6 AM to 9 PM CT.
Answer: GoodRx can be used in place of Medicaid as long as the two aren't combined. Please give us a call at 888-799-2553, so we can contact the pharmacy on your behalf. We're available Mon-Sun, from 6 AM to 9 PM CT.
Answer: Great question, Don! Since GoodRx compares prices at different pharmacies, there are sometimes lower prices with a GoodRx coupon. If you have a GoodRx Gold account, you are still able to use a GoodRx coupon if you find that it offers a better price for your prescription at a pharmacy in your area.
Answer: Hello there Anita, we're sorry for your frustrating experience at Walgreens. Please give us a call so we may investigate this and reach out to the pharmacy on your behalf. We can be reached at 888-799-2553, Monday through Sunday from 8am to 7pm CT.
