I had a coupon for 120.46 for a drug. Called Walgreens and ask if I could use the coupon. Was told no. Asked why and was told GoodRx will not pay them for the medication so they no longer accept GoodRx. Why is the coupon taken at some Walgreens and not others? Plus I was on hold for for 40 mins when I called the phone number on the coupon. I just hug up. GoodRx encourages you to call the phone number on the coupon if there is any problem with the coupon not being accepted and for best results call while your at the pharmacy you are using. Who has time to hold for 40 plus mins? This wait time is unacceptable.

1) Sadly, your pharmacist isn't correct. GoodRx doesn't pay pharmacies anything - we simply provide coupons for lower prices that you are 100% responsible for paying. We do not pay pharmacies anything.

2) Our prices are based on contracted rates that pharmacies have agreed to accept. Thousands of Americans use GoodRx every day without an issue. Typically, if there is a problem, it's a pharmacist who either misunderstands or simply doesn't want to provide our discount to the customer.

False Advertising?

Kroeger refused to honor the coupon and said that GoodRx just guesses at prices to post online. GoodRx was unhelpful and said the coupon didn't work because they were currently in the process of changing prices for all Kroeger stores in the area. It's 3 days later and the same false prices haven't changed at all. Waste of my time all around. I will try 1 more time at a different place and will change my rating here if things work out.

GoodRX has a Walgreens coupon for oseltamivir (generic Tamiflu) for $58.46. After speaking with GoodRX, I found that the coupon is current and valid. Walgreens said no such agreement exists. I foolishly paid $143.23 after a 40 minute wait. "Desperate people do desperate things", I am guilty as charged,
Called GoodRX, gave them my story. The lady called my Walgreens, whereby the pharmact agreed to refund the difference. WOW!

Know the laws

I went to use Good Rx for a prescription tonight for my wife. When I presented the Good Rx app to get the discounted price, I was told that for a narcotic prescription (opioid), California law does not allow any discounts on an opioid, and that I would have to pay the full cash price ($58 instead of $16). This type of information should be included as part of the app and/or web site. To say I am disappointed with Good Rx is a gross understatement!

It does work

Went to cvs for a Phentermine Rx and they wanted 39.95 after presenting them my good coupon I had them text to my phone the price went to 13.45 as advertised on the website. Thanks Good Rx. I will be using you more often. Good first experience and cvs didn't take long at all to verify the information provided.

I tried

I tried using the app, and considering I'm a skeptical person who respects their privacy I felt like that needed a lot just to know it's me. Which I understand but I just can't do it. I would've loved to use it considering I really need help, but it was taking to long to get an answer. I just got out of work and I'm running on fumes. I know what I have and what I need but they ask for to much and take to long.

Bad deal
March 12, 2018

Searched pharmacies found that Publix excepted Goodrx. Went to store and was told no way would they honor goodrx card. I told them that they were listed as excepting goodrx. They told me that what goodrx says and what th pharmacies except are two different things.

Ok, but not for me

For me, GoodRx is poor. I am not saying it is bad for many. I was shocked to find that the first Shingrix vaccine would cost me $200 retail. So, I looked at GoodRx and it said, $160. That is like a hamburger joint saying the $5 sandwich would cost $30, and with a discount, $25. No thanks, either way. Ugh.

Said my old account was closed so I opened a new one, but they continued to double charge me over a year on both accounts. Wouldn't refund only but 6 months when goodrx said my account was closed. Now I still paid for over another 6 months for an account the goodrx was closed. Good rx gold doesn't even give the cheapest price compared to other rx coupons.
I highly do not recommend. Find another rx discount company.

My pain management dr. told me about this site when he found out I was paying for all my Rxs out of pocket. I save so much money every month. Some times it fluctuates a bit, but without the coupons I would be paying up to twice as much or more on some of my medications.
And as far as having concern for not paying the full amount because the pharmacy has to make money too, I'm afraid that's just not something I worry about considering the drug companies have blatantly raised the prices on ALL the medications in the last couple of years sometimes by 10x.
If you want to throw your money away because you feel sorry for the drug companies, well that's up to you. I prefer to do my due diligence and take advantage of the savings where I can get them, even if I to go to 2 different stores to save that kind of money.
Luckily I don't have to now, but I have in the past and I love that good rx.com gives me that choice.

I was looking for 10 ml vial of Novolin N. GoodRx said Walmart sold it for $149.44 and Target sold it for $142.00. I had heard Walmart was cheaper, so I went there and got it for $24.88! A savings of 600%! I am so glad I didn't listen to GoodRx.

I feel like this company is misleading. I went to get treated for a UTI and the lady Monica asks me one question. I answered it and she said you have a kidney infection and go to Urgent Care. What? I spent my hardworking money to get seen to get medicine. And all I get is... go to urgent care. Well I wanted to go to Urgent Care I would have went there to begin with. This site is misleading they just take your money and refuse to do their job. Save your money and go else where.

Disappointed

I live in Palmetto, Fl. I've tried using the discount card and coupons at Winn Dixie, Publix and Walgreens, no one would accept them even thought they were clearly listed on the Good RX website. Very disappointing.

This company has completely sketchy and non transparent business practices, I have just spent 2 days trying to get a coupon honored at my local Walgreens (despite the epic misdirection from Good Rx trying to assert this is a problem with matching the coupon to the pharmacy to the 'exact prescription') when i managed to speak to the Walgreens manager they proceeded to tell me this is a constant problem with Good Rx, they have misleading coupons which absolutely do not need to be honored by the pharmacy and they use any number of litigious and small print carve outs. I am disgusted. Having paid $49 for a prescription itself (and then being told they could only prescribe a 20g not a 90g as requested - clearly to force repeat visits and $49 payments) I now cannot even get the coupon honored. And don't bother trying to get anyone on the phone to complain about the service, they carefully construct their site and contact options to only have IM chat windows (with no live service) and likely these bots just repeat endless cycle of 'check your coupon'. Its infuriating and appalling. AVOID these people.

Today we had a prescription filled at WalMart. I had printed the Good RX certificate and was thrilled I did! The charge with our insurance was $26.00 and the Good RX was $3.66 for the antibiotic. A month ago I saved $3.00 over the insurance cost by using GoodRX.

According to GoodRx the brand name Wellbutrin is no longer being manufactured.
This is FALSE. I had major issues with the generic, and now I am approved for Brand Wellbutrin, which I have been on over 10 years. Check your facts.

I could not afford my prescription (I have no insurance). I got the goodRx card and my prescription was only $10 for 90 day supply and I was so happy I could afford to take it then. Today I went to pick up my prescription and the price jumped to $114. I have to take the brand name so I can't take the generic brand which is much cheaper so I may have to go with my prescription now and I really need it.

It was easy to get an appointment, but then it was impossible to get call or message after they took the money, so if you have a follow up questions, you might want to pay for another appointment to get them call you back.

This is a scam
April 15, 2020

Was filling a script for my hubbie, the price with my insurance was $118 so I checked good rx, the coupon said $36.99 for the same drug, mg and count. I was excited. Money is tight due to the covid thing. When the pharmacy tech put in the codes, the price was higher than my insurance! She said they change their prices all the time. What a scam. I was glad I did not pay the $20 for a membership. Maybe it will work for you but certainly buyer beware

False Information

Researched if medication was able to be prescribed. The classification was not listed as unable to prescribe. Company requires payment prior to any further information given. AFTER payment, provider refused refill based on company policy of requiring a picture of the prescription. This was NOT stated prior to payment. BBB complaint filed on behalf of unsuspecting patients not being informed of company policies PRIOR to payment.
