I am leaving this review after several orders from glassesusa over a two year timeframe including a recent order.
It had been a month since i ordered DESIGNER frames I paid way too much for. When I inquire to agents about the status (as it still reads my glasses are in quality assurance a stage that is reflected to take 48 hours and have been there over a week now) just just tell me to wait. Agents have apparently sent out numerous inquiries to their shipping department to see where my order is as its between quality assurance and DHL according to another person. This is the 4th inquiry that's been sent. I am constantly assured my inquiries will be answered within 48 hours and I have yet to receive responses to any of them. These agents dont have any information, they cant contact any departments and they cant compensate for falling short. I hate to say the typical, but I will never give this company my money ever again.
Time and time again my glasses take a month to arrive after they are projected to take a couple weeks max. I have a single vision RX. It's not complicated.
This company is very inconsistent. But consistently not trying to uphold any sort of values to serving their customers.
Shop locally, go to Zenni or Eye Buy Direct, save yourself the stress of thinking you're going to get good service and receive your product in a timely manner, you likely wont.

I bought glasses from them back in March of last year. After about 6 months to a year the frames started peeling like an onion. Yellow peelings would come off. I would scrape them off with my finger, and I still do this. They are the Weston glasses. I wrote a review detailing this, but it was deleted on GlassesUSA. It's a dishonest company, as they delete reviews below 4 stars. Mine was 3 stars, but now I'm pretty upset I wasted money on glasses that fail to last even 2 years; that's why it's 1 star now. I recommend shopping elsewhere. The quality of the glasses are poor and the company is not credible. You have to go to separate sites just to read the honest reviews from people who have had their glasses for years, like me. Their glasses are not worth any price.

These frames are cheaply made, do not waste your time or money with this brand! When I received my glasses, the hinges were loose and wobbly. The PD for these glasses also seem very off. Their exchange and return process is extremely SLOW and unprofessional. They have sent me an incorrect shipping label TWICE, the package was rejected and sent back to me. You can tell their customer service reps are using canned responses because they all tell you the SAME thing in the SAME EXACT WAY. Also their only display positive product reviews on their website, others and I have tried leaving 1-2 star reviews on glasses we've purchased but THEY HIDE IT. Avoid these scammers at all costs.
I have tried Zenni (another online glasses site) before and they get it right the FIRST time.

Purchased a pair of prescription eyeglasses & additional sunglasses. It took time to get them & after 1 week of using them 2 times the right arm of eyeglasses came off. Returned the full order in less than 2 weeks. Tried to get a pair of replacement glasses & after 4 months still nothing.
They said they emailed me with store credit & finally I received it 4 months later. Just want my money back at this time.

Yep, I saw bad reviews like mine on other glasses prior to purchasing (which now look like they've been deleted - sketchy). But I took the chance anyways and bought the Ottoto Magnus Silver in size Medium with good faith. Uh yea, big mistake. I ordered those glasses in mid July. They didn't come until mid August with barely any updates on why they were taking so long. The check order status links on both emails sent and the Glasses USA website itself either don't work or just send you back to the site's home page.
When the glasses finally did come it felt like I won a pair of cheap fake glasses at an arcade or children's glasses from the dollar store. They were ridiculously cheaply made and super flimsy. The medium size were also so tight I truly don't see them fitting any adult. So I decided to exchange them for the larger size and wow if I only knew that it'd be a BIGGER pain to do.
I initiated the return the week of August 17th. I'm writing this review September 24th. Still no glasses, links sent and check order status on the website still didn't help. I've spoke to 3 customer reps and each one isn't a help. Saying "please be patient" or "call DHL to locate the item" both infuriating to hear when more than a month has passed and I'd think I've been patient enough.
All in all - don't do it, go somewhere else.

Tldr: Ordered contacts in April, never received them due to being "out of stock" although the website claimed "in stock" entire time. Phone CS claims contacts are in stock, but would then receive email from email CS that they were out of stock. Wasted 6 months getting pushed back and forth, supervisors never calling back as promised, etc. Have filed for refund but have yet to receive it.

I ordered contact lenses from GlassesUSA in mid-April of 2020, and as of September 24,2020, I have not received them. The contact lenses were marked as "in stock" when I ordered them, and I received a confirmation and an email stating they were on their way. However, after a few days I received an email stating the contact lenses were unfortunately out of stock. When speaking to customer service on the phone, they gave me the option to wait for the contact lenses to come back in stock, which I chose to do as my contact lens prescription had by that point expired.
Five months later, where I followed up with customer service each month over email, I had still not received my contacts. Throughout this entire period, the contacts were labeled as "in stock" on the website. I started calling instead, and one day received the surprising answer that they were now in stock. Great! I was happy to finally have this resolved, and hung up the phone with a promise that the contacts would be shipped out the next day. I never heard anything back. This process repeated itself four times before I started losing my patience. After speaking with a supervisor about my frustration, he promised to do an internal investigation to see what the status was, and he'd call me back by the end of the week. No one ever called.
After once again calling them back, I spoke with supervisor Maverick Anderson, who kindly apologized for the back and forth. He promised that this would be the last time, and that he was 100% sure the contacts were in stock. He even confirmed it while we were on the phone. I told him straight out that I didn't trust him, as it had gone down so many times prior, but he asked me to trust him one last time, as he was so certain.
24 hours later, I received an email stating the contacts were out of stock. At that point I gave up and requested a refund. I have spent countless hours on the phone and writing emails, trying to get a clear answer as to whether I would ever get these contacts or not, and now am going to have to get a new prescription ($125) as my prior one expired in this hassle.
Do not ever order from this website.

I could give not one star I would. This has got to be the worst online glasses company ever. I order glasses on 4/29,2 pairs. They literally held my order because one pair was out of stock. I called them several times to cancel the order that was still being held hostage. I was told that because I used the buy one get one and was advised, that I had to pick another pair or receive the the 1 pair( wrong script and sunglasses-which I didn't order) and return. At this point we are in July. July 13th to be exact. I called several times. Chatted with reps several times and still to this day no follow up from glassesUSA, no refund. At this point it's looking really grim, and because I have been told the same thing for the last almost half a year, something is really wrong with this company. Each time"I'm going to send a email to the returns dept. LIES. If it is true. Throw the whole Returns dept away, or at least the person in charge. Start over, cause the process they have now is broken. Daniel Rothman / Eldad Rothman has bitten off more than they can chew. I purchase from a company that doesn't have a service level. For the percentage of people that are satisfied that same percentage if not more are dissatisfied. I'll be buying at EYEBUYDIRECT. In the meantime I want my money. They have received what they sent. What's the hold up? At the point you can't use the pandemic as an excuse.

I received an email saying they were in production 3 days after they received my order online. After 20 days i called and sent email... they were still in production?. So i get an email next day... oh they are in quality control! Long story short. I ordered them august 17th got one of 2 pair today... WRONG PRESCRIPTION!. Taking them to an optometrist for verification... ok back from optometrist... prescription is correct... AXIS IS WRONG! Rt eye is 18... should be 115... left is 53. Should be 55. Axis is important to some more than others... we will see what happens next pair and when these are returned i started this email bout 45 mins ago and still havent received return information which was supposed to take 5 minutes!... IF and only if they shine through with a good finished product,,, i will change review

Sent me the wrong prescription. It has been a nightmare dealing with customer service. I sent glasses back with a promise they would make new ones. I inquired several times and finally got a response that the first ones were filled correctly and if they sent new glasses they would be same prescription as first ones. Said their prescription numbers did not match mine but they had been filled correctly? I told them I could not see out of the glasses and asked for a refund. At this point I am out of money, have no glasses, and I cannot get them to respond. I will gladly update my review if they fix the problem.
Glassesusa reviewed my prescription and compared it with a copy of the prescription and has agreed to send corrected pair with extras at no extra charge. The also are sending them at expedited shipping at no extra charge. When I receive my glasses if prescription is correct and glasses look as nice as originals I will edit rating and give them a five star rating.

I ordered glasses before the pandemic in early March2020. The delivery time they espoused was under two weeks. It too over a month and several of my inquiries to receive them. Within two weeks the right lens fell out. It seems the screw holding it disappeared. I've tried twice to get them to mail me at least a screw as over the counter screws do not fit and the lens doesn't want to go back into the frame.
I have been patient for months because the Covid outbreak has interrupted many businesses. I just emailed a request again today 9/19/20 and they said they can only give me a 50% off coupon because of the length of time gone by. Really? I haven't even gotten a full 2 weeks wear out of them. Do not buy from them. Substandard frames and customer service.

I've used this company since they've opened, and as of late they have gone waaaaaay down hill. I ordered a pair of sunglasses and received regular glasses. I needed the glasses ASAP and they agreed to send a new pair (so I could get the glasses faster than waiting for the return to process). After 3 weeks I get the new pair, and the order is wrong again. So I send back both glasses just wanting a refund and they refuse to give me a refund because the time has passed since the original order and will only give me an exchange.

Received glasses after waiting 2 weeks. They sent me someone else's prescription. Nothing remotely close to what I ordered. Contacting them is very difficult. Told they would not start to send me the correct glasses until they received the bad ones back which meant waiting at least another 3 weeks. I emailed and called. Told they would start manufacturing right away and express ship. Another lie! The worst experience ever. If they would not have lied to me I would have cancelled the order and ordered from someone else. But o believed their lies. Don't waste your time! They all lie and make promises they don't keep. Been 2 weeks and still in manufacturing. Site says 3 days well we are beyond this time more than double. Call Customer service and they can, give a straight answer. Let's see how long the quality check takes. They say 48hrs but let's say it is probably going to be longer than that.

I purchased glasses from GlassesUSA and the lens were not cut properly to fit in the glasses. Also, the screw to keep the lenses in place was not tighten properly. The screw came out the second week and GlaasesUSA did not replace the screw. They kept telling me their production team would contact me and they never did. I wasted money buying my glasses from GlassesUSA. Buyers beware.

Answer: Our production times vary between each prescription and lens type we produce. By far our glasses are produced and delivered before the times stated in our shipping policy. In some cases, unfortunately, glasses might not pass quality assurance, which means they need to be remade. This unfortunately means that we have to start again from scratch, but as a rule we do not send out any glasses that did not meet our quality standards. Shipping times are unfortunately mostly beyond our control as we depend upon our carriers to deliver the products in a timely manner. Our delivery department works toe to toe with all of our carriers to make sure our glasses are delivered as promptly as possible. We also offer a variety of shipping options that ensure a faster delivery for any interested customers, but our customers need to keep in mind shipping times do not include production time. Answer: I ordered a pair on 3rd Nov and was still waiting on 20 Nov. I canceled them On the 21st. A rep called and convinced me to give them a second chance...big mistake. I gave them a second shot and resubmitted the order on the 21st. The rep assured me that the glasses would be shipped in 6 days. Taking into account Thanksgiving the glasses should have be shipped on the 30th but they were still in production and, again no real customer service. I canceled and drove to America's Best. In 15 minutes I ordered glasses and they were $30.00 less than glassesusa. I don't recommend that company.
