Other than this everything was seamless, but sheesh c'mon now.
Since we were late in booking our hotel, it was difficult to find rooms for a reasonable price. Thanks to getaroom we were able to find a good hotel at a good price
This was an easy way to book a hotel. The room rate was fine and I have yet to be scammed as a result of using this site.

I wanted to add a night to my nonrefundable ticket. After a bit of back and forth, we cancelled my reservation without a fee and rebooked it for the longer stay. Total cost was not much more than the original. Thank you

I was looking for a room with a fireplace. Once I found the room I wanted I searched for the specific hotel. The price on GetARoom.com was impressively lower than any of the websites I had been using. I haven't used GetARoom.com before but will definitly use it again.
One of the rooms I booked had no heat, a broken phone, no fridge, and blood stains on bedding. Another room was obtained, but the infrastructure is old and is in poor maintenance condition, with unapologetic staff.
I was a little nervous after reading some reviews about GetARoom but felt that there were more positive reviews then negative so booked. The hotel price was SO good. Some people complained about the "extra" charge for tax & service but it was even lower then some I had seem. The hotel room was for the end of Nov. 2018 After booking the next day I called the hotel to confirm our booking and there was NO booking- all the negative reviews came flooding in. I called the number the GetARoom had listed thinking it would maybe say "No longer in service" and had run off with our money HOWEVER got a very helpful person who explained they do not book their rooms until two or three days before needed. WHAT! She then asked if I would like to have it booked now and I said please and she did and it is. I called and it is booked! So, great room price and service.
Motel was awful! I can't even call it a hotel/inn it was a roach motel with horrible employees but yet nonrefundable. Do you all actually go to these hotels because if you did you would take Baymont Inn/ Motel tuscaloosa off
I purchased a 2 night room stay and pay extra to make sure I could cancel. I had through Jan 5 for changes and cancellations. At first, I needed to cancel a single night because of work. I called. First, the CSR could not find the reservation. Finally she found it. I told her I needed to cancel a day. She indicated I couldn't cancel a single day and that I had to cancel the reservation and reserve for the other day. OK. I told her I paid additional in case I needed to cancel. She canceled it and set up the new reservation. Unfortunately, she failed to give me the reservation I had paid for initially, one with no penalty for cancellation. I had to cancel the second day, but when I went to cancel, I found I was going to get charged for the room because of the CSR not giving, me the same reservation. She did not include my cancellation of Jan 5th. This is horrible customer service. I would have been within my required time frame for cancellation, but because of her, I ended up paying over $100 for a room I couldn't use. Horrible customer service. Don't use a service like this if they are going to change the room requirements without your permission. I don't like paying for nothing and I'm sure you don't either.
Site was easy to access and negotiate. Good follow up with Email receipt confirmation. Particularly like the fact that their is no penalty for cancellation up until a few days before arrival.
I saved a lot of $$$$ on a rate that was already the lowest I had found. My travel hasn't occurred yet so I can't comment on anything else at this time.
After booking i went to hotel's website and that states the hotel is not open until 2019. GetARoom does not respond.
Let's start by saying that I was charged three times for one room which is no where near fitting to be a 5 star hotel and I'm still waiting for my reimbursement to be credited back to my credit card. Not one room had a Bible in the nightstand drawer. That alone tells you a lot about this disgustingly dirty motel. They had cigarette burns all over the comforter and blood in the face washcloths. Electric sockets we're limited and inoperable. And last but not least, they had holes in the corner of the windows in the middle of the snow storm. Rent a room there at your own risk. I strongly advise you to go elsewhere with your money.
Conveniently located on Highway 140 a few miles outside the main entry to Yosemite National Park. The facility is well maintained with a variety of accommodations. Friendly staff.

Having pressed the wrong date! Contacting Hotel who were happy to make the change. GetARoom refused to let me make the change! Saying I would have to pay again! As if I would book through them again anyway!
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
