GetaRoom has sent me one e-mail yesterday and one today. Their consumer relations manager has called me yesterday in phone and said that after reviewing my case GetaRoom will give us our full refund. Today, Getaroom has sent me another e-mail in which they have said that they have proceeded the full refund of $ 2861. 50 and it will take 3 to 5 business days to be deposited.
I will send you both the e-mails! It seems the case is resolved and I am hoping that they will keep their word and deposit the money.
I truly appreciate your help and want to provide good reviews for your wonderful help whereas our Credit Company has failed us!

Bad service like a company.
The pictures of the hotel weren't real, it was really old, bathrooms bad condition not painted, heat really old, and also they charge me 35 fee you didn't mentioned in your webpage, I call you to cancel or too see option only offer me 5% discount in the next booking
I was looking for 7 rooms in Atlanta on Super Bowl weekend. It took some time but Cameron stuck with it and eventually found something.
I Inadvertently booked a room for! Person instead of two. I noticed this straight away and contacted them, they were unable or unwilling to change the booking. This will now cost me to cancel unless the hotel direct will help. It"s far removed from Hotels.com who actually contacted me to refund me for a room that wasn't used as someone cancelled due to illness.
Bed was hard and so was the two flat pillows. Room smelled funny and wasn't the cleanest. I'll never stay there again
I booked a non refundable room. Family got the wrong date. Agent called hotel, and I rebooked for following night. I did get a refund! Thanks!
Operator very knowledgeable. Most helpful. I have nothing else to say. This review page is quite annoying. I think you should re-think demanding 100 words. I certainly would not review on the site again.
They added a $700 booking service charge, that is not refundable or covered by Credit Card Insurance - Beware
I suggest do not book room using this search engine. They are fraud. I clicked on room selected my preferences and entered my personal and credit card detail. Normally before processing any payment other company give you total bill that they are going to charge. But with Get A Room I was sent and email for my room reservation and charges. They charged me $70 more on top of room price. I accept tax which can be somewhere around $10 each room based on price but I was charged total $70 for 2 rooms. I called right away to find out reason for those charges I was told that because I booked it for 8 ppl 2 rooms they are charging me for safety which is in ethical reason. When I requested to cancel rooms or get refunded on those additional charges. They said they can't cancel or refund. Their website says free cancellation. They were supposed to disclose entire bill before processing any payments like many other companies. Which they didn't so they can make some extra money by cheating us. I am planning to file a case against this company if they don't resolve my issue ASAP. If you are one of me got cheated by them we can do it al together.
Don't trust companies like Get a room.
I initially gave only one star for this service because we were not able to cancel our reservation immediately after making it. However, a very nice representative contacted us yesterday saying that they had issued a full refund back to our credit card, so I have changed my rating on this website.
I book hotel in Indonesia at 28 Dec 2018 and they email me reservation confirmation with the wrong hotel in Rusia.
The customer service just reply my email with 'non refundable cancellation policies and they can not refund'
Finally at 30 Dec 2018 they email me that the refund has been processed and it will take 3-5 business days to post back to my account. Today I check in my account and I get the refund.

Its was okay. I like dealing directly with a motel/ because if you make a change it gets all crazy! I lhad to cancel and then start all over. Too much trouble!
I was trying to contact hotel directly but ended up with a third party. No issues but I prefer the hotel directly.
My reservations says Free Cancellation in red. I called Dec 21 to cancel a reservation for Dec 24, due to family emergency. They said I was too late, had to cancel Dec 19. So they are charging me the full $206. I will be working with Hilton Honors to make a complaint and suggest they stop working with this scam operation. Get a Room didn't even bother to tell the Hilton hotel I wasn't coming, so all they care about is getting their money, not letting the hotel know the room will be empty. I will also be filing a dispute with my credit card company.
Guarantee is bogus. When I looked th the hotel up online I thought I was booking directly with the hotel, winds up a third party. My brother booked online and got his room $30 cheaper. I went and provided proof if I got the same room that I booked with this bogus site and compared if I did it online there was a price difference of $25+. I was told in my dispute n the guarantee since I found a price direct with hotel that was better they wouldn't honor it. All along, I thought I was dealing direct with hotel in first place, not a third party. I will never make this mistake again... rip off!
SCAM! They gave a good price of $63 for a room. After I gave my credit card info, i found they had tacked on a $72 fee. They refused to refund when I called immediately. AVOID THESE PEOPLE!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Thought I was booking my hotel directly online and it happened to be this company. Booked the wrong hotel in the wrong state. Did not transfer reservation, did not assigned reservation to the hotel, did NOT refund. DON'T EVER book with them.
UPDATE: Upon writing this review I was promptly contacted by GETAROOM and issued a full refund. WOW! I trust that this is an indication that the company is revising their customer service processes and seeking to improve their service.
My husband and I literally just came back from Cabo this week. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort all inclusive which was 'ok' but we were trying to save money. We only stayed for 2 nights. So in that case you get what you pay for. We're going back for a wedding in Feb. And found the Absolutely Gorgeous resort Playa Grande for 2 extra nights (4) for only $40 more using getaroom! I work for a Major Airline and even my employee discount couldn't compete! Getaroom will always be my go to when looking for a great easy-to-use deal!

Ebony was very polite and true to her words. She booked 2 rooms for us, explained so clearly and was very friendly - an all round excellent employee.
Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
