When I ordered flowers for my long-distance significant other, the website lead me to freeshipping.com for a refund of the shipping cost. It was advertised as "free shipping for first-time users." I happily signed up! Unknowingly, I was charged $15 for the membership (which was the refunded shipping cost). I then received another bill from the company and was furious. Turns out, it's a small print scam! They will just keep charging you. Don't waste money or time with ANY company associated with freeshipping.com and don't trust this "business" at all!
I almost signed up for the $10.00 rebate until my credit card information was requested, I then immediately went to research the site (which I normally do for anyone requesting credit card/bank information). In reading some of these reviews which is mostly negative (from what I have seen/read) this seems like an awful waste of time and aggravation just to get a rebate for a few bucks. I am not saying that this is a scam but definitely Not Worth It!

Scam. Why would you need to pay for a service that you can get free online? Have you heard of ebates? It is legit and FREE. Alice please go get a legitimate line of work. Stop being swindlers who prey upon the innocent people. The company I made a purchase from will be hearing from me as well.
Ebates only offers a fraction of the benefits of Fresshipping.com, that is why it is free. Memberships to Freeshipping.com offer up to $3,000 a year in benefits from cash back, shipping, return shipping and price protectdion.
I ordered flowers for my mother and Mather in law on mothers day and now I am being charged $13 every month. I have not been able to contact them about stopping this charge. Of course, it cant be done easily, you have to jump thru hoops to stop a bogus charge but it comes out of your account really easily.
Hi Stacey,
I'm sorry for any confusion regarding the monthly membership fee. Please reach out directly at Help@Freeshipping.com, I will be happy to help.

These people (freeshipping) are cashing in on this pandemic. Wake up as I do every morning, and check my bank statement. And there it wes $13 taken out my bank account. No notice at all. Call and cancel the order, and still have not gotten my refund...
Hi Mamie- I apologize for any confusion regarding the membership fee. Please reach out directly at Help@FreeShipping.com for assistance. Thanks
Must admit, tho' I hate to, I must not have read carefully enough when I supposedly signed up for free shipping. However, after a few months of the same recurring charge, which I assumed incorrectly was an Amazon Prime charge, I called Free Shipping. The customer service rep readily agreed to rebate all my charges and cancel the account. Be aware - the promo is very subtle. I give it 3 stars only because the customer service was 5 star.
Hi Sandra, I'm glad we were able to take care of your inquiry for you. We always strive for great customer service! Thanks!
Appalling company that has no actual presence in the USA! Their phone number does not work & it takes them days to reply to emails, furthermore they do not cancel or even bother to read their emails content properly!
My advice is this, do not give them any business what so ever.
Thanks,
Dave
Hi Dave,
I apologize for any confusion. We are a Connecticut based company operating only in the USA. If you can email me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com with the phone number you were attempting to call I would certainly like to look into this. Please reference Customer Loyalty #S715. I just realized... by accident that my husband signed up mistakenly for a service he has never used once and have been paying 13.00 monthly for over a year. This company counts on elderly who are not savvy with on-line buying and then just pay their bills! No one would knowingly sign up for 13.00 monthly for a 16.00 purchase on 800.00 monthly social security! Despicable
Hi Susan, I apologize for any confusion regarding the membership fee. Please reach out directly at Help@FreeShipping.com. I will be happy to help you. Thanks, Samantha Customer Support Supervisor
Wife unknowingly got signed up through overstock.com. Didn't catch on until several months later. Down several 12.97 payments. Did call and they are refunding one or two payments and said that they would cancel membership. Be very careful.
Get ready for hidden fees! They automatically charge your credit card the membership fee. Called and cancelled as soon as I saw the charge on my cc statement. Sorry y'all, there really is no such thing as 'free'
Hi Alyx,
We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand that a membership with us is not for everyone. We find that those who shop online frequently tend to get the most value out of our service. However, I'd be happy to explain the terms you agreed to at sign up.
Since we are a subscription-based online shopping site, we offer new members a 7-day free trial so they can check out our site and determine whether or not it'd benefit their lifestyle. If new members decide they'd like to continue using our site past their trial, they agree to pay the membership fee moving forward at sign up. Should you decide not to continue your membership, your account must be cancelled within your trial period to avoid the monthly membership fee. This information is stated on the sign up page, directly above where users enter their credit card information. It is also in our terms of use, which must be agreed to before successfully completing the sign up process. Furthermore, the terms are reiterated in the welcome email each new member receives after signing up with us.
If you have any other questions regarding our fees or how our site works, we'd love to assist you with further information. Please contact help@freeshipping.com if this is the case. Thank you!
Sincerely,
The FreeShipping.com Team
45 minute waste of time. Unethical trickery. Not on the level, bad bad bad. You sign up and give them your credit card info, and are told you will receive a confirmation email with the rebate. No confirmation email was sent. Then they offer to answer your question via chat, in which they circumvent your inquiries by telling you to check your spam before they cut you off of chat. Then, I had to call them in person to cancel the entire thing so my cc won't be charged in 30 days. True scammers, yuck!
I ordered heated gloves from them at the beginning of November and as of today--December 18--I still have not received them. Yesterday I got a note they had been shipped and I could expect them in the next ten days.
They say Free Shipping but they charged almost $9.00 for handling. The joke's on me.
I cancelled my order 2 weeks ago. They took the money from my credit card 2 weeks ago but I've stopped payment. Never again, "Free Shipping." What a scam.
Hi Ronald,
I'm very sorry for any confusion. We don't sell retail products directly to consumers; instead, we connect subscribers to a vast network of retail partners via links on our program website. Please double-check the company name for help with the order you placed.
Thanks,
Samantha

It took me 5 months to realize I was being charged $12.97 every month for a subscription I didn't know I had. This got initiated somehow when I made an online purchase from Kohl's. I called them immediately to cancel, and quickly received an email confirming the cancellation. Funny how they don't send a confirming email when they start the subscription, as an honest company would. Oh, but then the suckers would know right away that they were getting charged for something they did not want...
Hi David,
Thank you for your feedback, a welcome email is sent at the time you complete registration for Freeshipping.com. I am happy to issue this refund for you, please reach out to me directly at Help@Freeshipping.com and reference Customer Loyalty #FS579.

Hi, I have been a customer of Freeshipping.com for last 3 months and I have got a huge cash back for the Holiday season purchases. This is a genuine company which has got some bad publicity, and I think thats mainly due to people who don't read the terms and conditions properly and regret/complain later on. If you follow the terms they have mentioned the send you the cheque as promised. So its about you on how you want to get some free bonus on your regular purchases. As a Business model this also helps the consumer to get their share of the Trade promotion money spent by the manufacturers. Highly recommended.
Hi Narayana,
Thanks so much for the kind words! We're so happy to hear we were able to save you money during the holidays! Thanks so much for being a member, happy shopping and saving!
Sincerely,
The FreeShipping.com Team
Emailed the Freeshipping.com Representative and haven't heard back from them so I suspect they didn't really mean what they wrote in a reply to my review offering a full refund.
If they offer a full refund I'm willing to edit and upgrade my review of freeshipping. However if it's BS then I stand by my one star review of freeshipping.com
Freeshipping.com deleted my freeshipping account and sent an e-mail about they would issue a refund for approx. $52.00 out of the $190.00+ dollars charged my visa credit card.
This company needs to be reported to your attorney general of the state of which you reside as their business practice is illegal.
Hi Tim, did you email me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com? If so, can you try resending? I just checked and haven't received anything. I would be more than happy to assist you with your account.
Thanks!
I don't remember signing up for free shipping.com and my Visa Credit Card was charge $12.97 for 15 months without me being aware it was being charged. I haven't actually every used their service.
Adding the charges up total came to$194.55 of which I received 15 x refunds for $12.97
I'm only giving a three star review as I've never used their service and unable to comment any further about it.
Note: Once you sign up for this service there will be no monthly notice or billing involved which may lead to not being aware your signed up for their freeshipping service which AFAIK are shipping fee rebates and not actually discounts on shipping.
I signed up like many people for free shipping or a rebate, not realizing that they would charge a membership fee after my "trial" ended. I supposed if I had read the fine print, then I would've know about the membership. Anyways, I noticed the charge on my bank statement and immediately went to the site to figure out what was going on. After a little researching I realized how the services offered actually work, so I figured I would go ahead and give it a try. I received several checks in the mail and rebates from purchases made online through the website. I did however cancel my services after about 6 months or so. I only cancelled because I was not making enough online purchases for the membership to be worth it.
Hi Ashley, I'm glad you enjoyed your membership while you had it. We agree, that if you shop online often, than FreeShipping.com is definitely for you.
The process of getting money back is very slow, you have to patiently wait for months. The only thing is while waiting you still need to pay for the membership fee. However, I did get checks from them for over $500. I can't really complain about anything else. Try it if you shop a lot. :)
Hi Lulu,
Thanks so much for the kind words! We do find that members who shop online often end up with cash back earnings that far exceed the membership fee paid monthly, plus the extra savings earned from being such a great shopper :).
We're so happy to hear you've been saving with our site! Feel free to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to keep up with special promotions and tips on all things shopping and saving!
Sincerely,
The FreeShipping.com Team
My daughter is a quadriplegic so shopping on line is easier for her. Somehow she got enrolled for this service without her knowledge. I just recently caught the charges to her debit card. I cancelled the service. Shame on a company that allows scammers to take advantage of their customers by enrolling them in a program when they place an order. $12.97 a month is a lot of money when you're raising 2 little boys on a limited income.
Hi Joan, I apologize for the confusion regarding our program. She would have needed to see one of our advertisements while making a purchase online to sign up. We believe that our service can benefit people who shop online often. Cash Back, Shipping Rebates and Return Shipping labels through FedEx are just a few of our benefits that can really help our members save money when shopping online.
While placing an order for shoes on a retail site, FreeShipping.com gets involved without my knowledge or consent. I have now cancelled my original order from the retailer (because I no longer trust them} that caused the problem and received a refund. There were 2 unauthorized charges from FreeShipping.com. One charge was for $2 and the other a week later for $13.00. I have gotten ZERO satisfaction from FreeShipping.com, nor have I been able to get a refund. PayPal will not assist, so I am now shutting down my PayPal account.
I like FreeShipping.com, but you must stay involved. I've order several flower arrangements through their website and paid $14.99 for shipping. I was only reimbursed $10 each. You have to keep records and track progress. One can easily buy something and forget to follow up on rebates/cash back. I have purchased items, but they were never credited to my account even though I went through their website.
Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
Answer: Hello - No problem, I have sent confirmation of this to your email.
Answer: Hi Carla, Please reach out to me directly at Help@Freeshipping.com. I will be happy to issue a refund for the membership fee. Thanks! Samantha Customer Support Supervisor
