I purchased two tickets to see girls trip and on my way to the movies i received a call that my son what in a very bad accident. I was unable to attend the movies and Fandango refuse to give me a refund or even an exchange for tickets i never used. I spent $38 which included a $3.00 service fee charge. I am very disappointed with Fandango because this information is not posted on the website for you to see. When i received a called about my sons accident the first thing on my mind was the quickest way to get to the hospital, no call and cancel movie tickets. This is very sad that they think this is ok to do to people. PLEASE DO NOT USE FANDANGO YOU WILL REGRET IT AS I DID!

I was already ready to stop using Fandango due to the incessant popover ads that sometimes happen while trying to find a movie time and theater... and due to them always asking for reviews after I paid a fee to use their service in the first place. But now there is no doubt that the company has gone downhill.
I accidentally selected Friday instead of Saturday while making a purchase. I didn't know until I got a message asking how I enjoyed the movie -- except it was still Friday night. I emailed and asked if there was a way to just get tickets for Saturday (I don't want a refund, I just didn't realize it purchased tickets for Friday). Fandangos customer support completely ignored the email. I emailed a second time on Tuesday and informed them that I would be using another service since they can't even be bothered to reply and say "Sorry, we can't help, maybe talk to the theater manager."... Still absolutely no response and it has now been two weeks.
When a company has so little regard for their customers that they can't even reply and tell them there's nothing they can do to help, it's time to move on to a better company.
Okay so first off, everyone complaining about not get a refund for shows they missed is one thing but that is NOT my story:

Received two gift cards from Family that in short, will not work. Even tried to check their balance to see if I could get them recognized there - nope! Now here is the interesting part(s.) Went to Fandango.com and sent in a trouble ticket/email and did receive a trouble ticket number immediately, however, nothing has happened past that. The one attempt to resolve the problem was an email from Customer Service asking me to call their published 1-800 number. Here is the rabbit hole - after a diatribe about some promotion or another, you are asked to press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish; 1 gets you the statement, "Opps, something went wrong" and the line is immediately hung up; Pressing 2 puts you in a ground hog day loop that never ends - the press 1 for and 2 for diatribe. Tried the number several times over a two week period to see if it would be fixed - Nope. I have sent several emails notifying them of a nonfunctioning phone line and ask for them to contact me - NO REPLY. I have submitted several more trouble tickets and nothing. Taking this a step further, I went to the parent company Vudu and logged on to their chat system and waited 2 hours for an agent, yep, another dead end. Conclusion: This organization is shamming the daylights out of people and getting away with it.

I went to see the new "It" movie in theaters on 9/15, and I purchased a ticket online with fandango. When I got to the theater (a half hour drive away) they informed me that I couldn't watch the movie under 17 (which was something the fandango website had not informed me of) so they told me to go and contact fandango customer support to get a refund. When I went to get a refund, the customer service rep said I could NOT get a refund and, in fact, they would keep every cent of the money I paid for a movie I couldn't watch. Fandango showed its true colors to me and I am never buying from Fandango again.
First of all, Fandango does NOT allow you to register gift cards into the system so you have to remember a 19 digit number plus a pin every time you buy a ticket. Then, God forbid, if you should misplace a card or need assistance; I had to wait 20 MINUTES to get someone on live chat and THEN she kept telling me she couldn't help me and finally just ended the chat while I was still typing information to her! WTF. She did, however, provide a phone number to call for customer service. Which I used and got SOME satisfaction. James, a very polite young man, took the information and said that that "Gift Cards" was a different department and it would take 7 - 10 days to get an email back to me to resolve the issue. We'll see in 7-10 days.
So I went to another Applebees and purchased $55.96 before tax and tips, got my promo code this time and have been trying for a the last hour to purchase tickets and redeem the reward, only to get about a dozen failed attempts, error: "Sorry, unable to process your order …". Your service is a RIP OFF… I have screen shots of several of these errors … and this after being unable to even receive promo code from a similar purchase at a different Applebees… so far over I've spent over $100 at Applebees and unable to get a single ticket to Top Gun… your customer service replied to my first complaint of did NOTHING. Out of Good Faith I tried again at the second Applebees and the promo code DOES NOT WORK … your service is a FRAUD

Slowest and worst customer service out there. Waited for 35 minutes on a Chat and when it came to my turn it went back the 25th person in the cue! I called and waited 30 minutes only to be told they could not help me with my issue, MANY BETTER OPTIONS THAN THIS MICKEY MOUSE OPERATION!
My son ordered 2 tickets on February 13th. When we looked at his bank statement THE NEXT DAY, he was charged for 4 tickets. It was a total of 20.44, twice that was taken out. I contacted Fandango 5 times and each time they said to call with more information. Each time i called they escalated it and then i would get another email that said to call they needed more info. This went on until 3/8 when they now tell me they can't do anything because its over the amount of time for refunds. Well of course it is, they farted around for so long and delayed it forever so yes it is over the time frame. I was even just asking for credit for 20.44. I sent them the photo of his statement portion where it shows the 2 transactions AND they all said they only see one pair of tickets bought! OMG, this is just a crappy company. I am going to write as many reviews for them as i can find. I dont want anyone else to just lose out money. Had we not checked his statement we would have never known. They are just stealing money from people. What a joke. Dont trust them ever.
I ordered a movie on Sat for Sun in 3D. Kiosk at Regal spits out a Sat 2D ticket, luckily their were enough seats to accommodate me. While waiting for movie to start in lobby I observed 2 others who got double booked for the same seat of 2 different showings. Unfortunately for 1 their showing was sold out and all the ticket master could do is give out a gift card. USE REGAL.COM OR MOVIETICKETS.COM AND SAVE YOURSELF SOME HASSLE!
I ordered tickets to Avengers Endgame and input a gift card. Due to latency and site issues Fandango was having, the transaction failed. The messaging on the site indicated that my card was not processed. I was able to order tickets later in the day, but when I went to use my gift card the funds from the failed transaction were still missing so I used the available balance left and paid out-of-pocket for the remainder.
I have chatted with agents 3 times at Fandango. I was told initially the funds would be available the next day. They were not... I reached out again and was told it takes 3-5 days for the voided transaction to be posted. After a week, balance is still incorrectly showing $0.
I've essentially paid $46.60 for 2 matinee movie tickets and all I want is for the money from the failed transaction to post and they have refused to offer any sort of reconciliation. I have been told by all 3 agents they can see the failed transaction so why am I being forced to waste my time trying to get my gift card reloaded?

All I wanted was to switch the tickets to the following day (as I had originally planned) but, despite the fact that I was talking to a person at Fandango within five minutes of my purchase, they would do nothing for me since the movie for which I had purchased the tickets was starting in less than 90 minutes. The CSR would not put the supervisor on the phone saying that they were "not available now". I called her bluff and said I would wait. After five minutes on hold she came back and said the supervisor would not be available (basically forever) and hung up on me. The supervisor (who was too busy to get on the phone) then emailed me 20 minutes later to notify me that they were not going to do anything for me. I will never use them again. Regal Cinema, where the tickets were purchased, made it right so I will buy my tickets from them directly from now on. Fandango is a bunch of thieving scammers with horrible customer service.
I purchased tickets for Creed on Saturday for a 3:15 movie and reserved my seats in Row C. When I arrived at AMC, they told me that there was no 3:15 movie. When they scanned my passes, it said that the movie time was at 3:50 pm and my seats were totally different. I showed AMC my fandango purchase and they said that they were sorry but there was nothing they could do since I purchased tickets with a 3rd party site like Fandango. AMC told me that this was not the first time this has happened to people. I called customer service and they said that I would not get a refund because the movie already started. I told them that it did not start because the movie was later than what was in their system. Fandango said they would look into getting me a refund. I received an email 3 days later stating I would not get a refund. This essentially ruined our night. We ate our popcorn in the lobby and waited an hour while eating all of our goodies. We did end up seeing the movie later on (in different seats) but we had to cancel our dinner reservations and continued to watch the movie with ZERO snacks :o( Sad Day. Thanks a lot Fandango for not owning up to one thing!
Used them to buy tickets and wasn't able to make my movie. Said that it was after the movie start time ( yes but not much) WAITED 1 1/2 HOURS IN THE QUEUE LINE. Asked for a refund on the fee and was told no. Fees are non refundable! Do not use!
Such a bad experience, I have one confirmation e-mail for my online order, they charge me twice, they still me almost 50 dollars. No answer phones or disputes. For me is 0 starts.!

Received a $50, Fandango gift card. But it is worthless. Contacted the person that gave it to me. They say it is good. They are definitely not the kind of people to give bunk gifts. I have tried to phone Fandago but was on "hold for over 1 HOUR!" Then I gave up. The Fandango web site has a, "CONTACT US" feature. When I tried to use it it actually said I would have to wait 57 minutes before asking my question! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Once they get your money they don't want to honor their end of the bargain. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY, DONT BUY OR GIVE FANDANGO GIFT CARDS.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
