I book the wrong time on a movie and choose a refund because you can't change the time on a paid ticket. The Mutha F$$%#CKEr didn't give me back the convient fee if $1.50 and charge me another $1.50 for another ticket. F%%$$CK u, F%%^CK U!

I called before my movie started because I wasn't going to make it on-time, but was on hold for 25 minutes then the call disconnnected. I called back and waited another 15 minutes then scheduled a call back and was told I couldn't get a refund or exchange because my movie started. I was also told to wait 3-5 days for corporate and was given a "one-time courtesy credit" BULL$#*!! I will never buy tickets through Fandango again!

Hi,
I'd like to warn everyone NOT to use Fandango. I bought three tickets to a show, and a couple of weeks later AMC cancelled the show. I got a refund for the movie tickets, but the $7 convenience fee Fandango WILL NOT refund or give me a credit for. I have literally LOST MONEY using Fandango. Again, AMC cancelled the show, so there was nothing on my end I could do.
I know people complain if they can't make the show they bought tickets for and lose the convenience fee, but please know even if it is NOT YOUR FAULT you will not get the convenience fee back.

Their website for purchasing is NOT very user friendly.
I purchased a ticket for the incorrect day, as I was expecting to be promted to chose a date.
I contacted Fandago via their website. NO response after 72+ hours. I "Live Chatted" with a "Representative" who claimed they could not credit my account because "The movie theater would be out the money." Uh, no they won't. They HAVE my money, I just paid for a movie TWICE!
After asking to speak with a "supervisor" I was turned away.

I went directly to the movie theater, explained my AWFUL experience with
Fan-dang-schmo, and they accomated me AND my family!

I will NEVER use Fandango again.

Go straight to the theater. Buy Local! Don't give these scammers anymore of your money or time.

A purchase for venom at galleria mall in st louis. Today at 10.21.2018 was made 10 minutes before the movie venom started, the card was successfully charged the money! And you took the money, but the website never went through successfully, your website timed out and said, host error, you never gave me a confirmation, you never gave me a receipt, you never gave me anything, you just took the money and charged the convenience fee which you already claim i can't get back the convenience fee, but why not, because going through this is not convenient, i also been on hold on with your phone customer service for 1 hour straight, so... is your customer service fake? Are you a scam? What are you? Is this some type of robotic, take your money scam? Well i did look you up after being on hold for an hour and i found this! https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/fandango.com and that is a lot of people saying your a scam are you going to prove them right that you are a scam to me or are you going to deliver the best customer service and give me the refund?

I will never use Fandango again. We bought $70.00 worth of tickets and one of our party had to go to the emergency room with a serious medical problem. I called (after searching), listened to a long list of items and got a representative (who was fine--not great, not bad) who explained that they do not refund for any reason (ER?) but that if I buy the same number of tickets for another showing within 48 hours, they will credit me. I have a friend in the ER and some obligations there and I will not know within 48 hours when I can take 4 people to the movies. THERE IS NO ADVANTAGE TO BUYING WITH FANDANGO, unless one expects the film to be sold out and there is much to lose.

MY SON WHO IS 14 YEARS OLD WENT ONLINE TO BUY THE MOVIE TICKETS AND WHEN WE GOT TO THE THEATER I NOTICED THEY WERE BOUGHT FROM THE WRONG THEATER. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA AND THE TICKETS WERE BOUGHT FOR THE THEATER IN MARYLAND. I TEXTED FANDANGO AND THEY DID NOT REPLY IT WOULD TAKE SOMETIME TO RESPOND AND I NEEDED A SOLUTION RIGHT AWAY. I CALLED AND I WAS ON HOLD FOR TWO HOURS AND BY THE TIME SOMEONE ANSWERED THE MOVIE HAD ALREADY STARTED. THEY ONLY GIVE YOU A REFUND BEFORE THE MOVIE STARTS. IF THE MOVIE HAS STARTED THEY DON"T GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK. THEY WOULD NOT EVEN EXCHANGE IT FOR THE THEATER IN FLORIDA. WILL NEVER BUY TICKETS THROUGH THIS SITE EVER AGAIN. SAVE YOUR MONEY THEY ARE A HEADACHE AND THEY HAVE REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Forget about Fandango!

The only thing going for Fandango is the convenience of purchasing tickets ahead of time. Is that enough to continue using a service that has no regard for its customers? My experience with Fandango's customer service was so frustrating. Not only was the representative totally rude, but could offer no resolution. I was trying to place an order but the site kept freezing up, so I had to continually replace the order. Finally when I was successful, it had the wrong date. So I called customer service to see if I could cancel that order and replace it with the proper date. Unfortunately I was on hold for 45 minutes which dipped into the two hour window before the movie starts. Their policy is that you can't cancel if it's less than two hours before the movie starts. There was nothing they could do, and I had to eat the 30+ dollars. I asked for a supervisor and I was transferred and on hold for another 25 minutes. Finally I received a message saying that the supervisors were too busy and they would call me back. Here I am two days later and no call back. I also sent a message to their customer service online, no reply yet. I will not be wasting my time at this company again.

Bait and Switch Refund

Fandango is the worst on their refund policy! I ordered and at the top of the check out page it clearly states: VIP Benefits Included in this purchase: REFUNDS and EXCHANGES. However they expect you to click thru to read the fine print of their policy to find that refunds and exchanges are only granted if requested more than 2 hours before the showing. For a service that promotes advance purchase of movie tickets, I've got to believe that most of their customers are buying within two hours of showtimes.

This is a typical BAIT & SWITCH! You think you are getting a great benefit with flexibility and WHAMO! Not true. I even tried to chat them about my experience and got a stock reply from a Bot. Will not use this service again.

Since today morning, I have tried more than 10 times to book the movie ticket through Fandango Visa Signature offer however every time it was giving me error like "ERROR 500: UNABLE TO PROCESS YOUR REQUEST".

I have tried it multiple times in different times however it was not working at all. I even tried to use different Visa Signature Card I am having but all in vain.

Then I initiated the live chat on Fandango, I was surprised to know that my no. Was 132 in the queue and it has taken more than an hour to get an associate and he/she was in too much hurry that he/she disconnected the chat in between.

In the mean time, I tried to call the customer service also. It has taken more than 30 minutes to speak to an associate.

Associate told me that there is a technical issue due to which we are getting error. If it's a known issue then Fandango should have put a disclaimer on the website to avoid user frustration.

BUYER BEWARE -- In addition to the cost of the movie ticket there is a "convenience fee" PER TICKET!
I bought several gift cards for xmas presents and one for myself. Had I known there was an additional "convenience fee" above and beyond the cost of the ticket I would NEVER have purchased ANY of these cards. What a RIP-OFF! Also, you still have to wait in line at the box office with your confirmation number to get your tickets! I am so angry about this I will tell everyone one I know NOT to purchase these scam cards!

Chili's had free movie tickets once you spend $25 on meal. Sent photo's 2 receipts twice, Fandango said could not read, resend. Promotion expired by time I saw emails. Waste of time!

On the phone for 1:40 and was told I couldn't get a refund. My suggestion is never use this business to purchase movie tickets. Stand in line that way you won't be charged a convenience fee.

Fandango doesnt know what to do in situations, and yet, they dont answer their damn phone! It is impossible to call them every time Ive tried getting a tickets without waiting 2-3 hours! Terrible.

Received 100.00 Fandango gift certificate for Christmas. Buyer assumed that since our local theater's movie times were listed, we'd be able to get use the gift card there. This is the only theater within 40 miles of our house, and no other options are given when our zip is inputted. When I went to purchase tickets through their app, it said the theater won't sell through Fandango. Live chat made me wait 20 minutes then gave me 30 seconds and while I was typing, disconnected me. I started over. Second chat rep told me to call a number that had been changed as of Jan. 1. Finally got through and was told there are no options in our area and they won't refund card. He said the movie times for nonparticipating theaters are in black, and orange for those who participate. A person looking at their site to get a card would have no possible way of knowing this. Fandango is a scam and should be avoided by all! Get gift cards directly from your theater. They also charge an undisclosed "convenience fee" from every ticket sold!

I got a Fandango gift card for Christmas. It was obviously a regift! This is the most stupid gift card that I have ever seen! DO NOT BUY THIS CARD! I REPEAT! Stay away from Fandango. Someone is getting rich from ripping off others!

That sys it all

This site is designed to double charge credit cards and if you call to speak with a manager (for example Tony emp ID 136 in Denver Colorado he will advise you it is their policy to make you wait for 25 minutes to speak with him so he can advise you he is not allowed to fix Fandangos errors. AVOID USING THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS. I wish there was a lower rating. I feel bad bringing this up but its really obvious when someone begins to stutter nd stamer when they are a part of unethical business practices. Thanks Tony!
