Get rid of the fee and I'll start using you again, every time I turn around companies are trying to nickel and dime you after you take the time to select what you want I'm not having it I'll just stop in and buy from ticket booth and use fandango just to find time.

They stole my money
September 9, 2016

I used the Fandango site from my mobile and once I chose the theater I was then asked to select the date, which I did. I choose Sept 10th and it loaded the shows and the times. I then chose my movie, the time, and selected my seats as it was reserved seating. After checking out, my confirmation came through with the 9th as the reservation date. I contacted them IMMEDIATELY after receiving the confirmation and was told they could not refund or exchange the tickets. After holding another 10 mins for a supervisor I got sent into a voicemail system. My entire problem started because of a glitch somewhere within their system and then I got a total lack of help. I truly feel like I was robbed and am disgusted with this company. I did not ask for my money back, but just an opportunity to get to see the movie I paid to go see.

____Money Down the Toilet, Heart Broken___

I am poor. I can't afford to go to a movie. My mother was kind enough to purchase $50 in fandango gift cards so I could take her grandchild to a movie if he did well in school. He worked hard in school because of the promise to a movie. His heart (and mine) was broken when the fandango site WOULD NOT PROCESS THE CARD. I'm a hacker so I tried every trick in the book. Child's heart broken. Mom's money completely thrown away. Fandango employees, there's a class action lawsuit coming and a special place in hell for you.

Shady website jumps your theater to somewhere else! I'm not sure how they did it but I have proof on my browsing history. I hope they get sued and go out of business because of it!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
Attempted to redeem my gift card for 2 tickets. Trying to do this thru their website is a Nightmare! I eventually called customer support which seems to enjoy making the customer believe it is their fault. I then spoke to a manager, more of a waste of time. I demanded a refund check ( not another card) and informed him that if I did not receive this within a week I would report them to the Better Business Bureau.
I will NEVER use Fandango again and will discourage everyone else also.

I have had the worst experience using this site. I tried to get tickets for a big movie and it turned into the biggest headache. I never got my tickets and they still have my money. They refuse to refund my money because when I initially tried to get tickets it printed for the wrong theater. I thought I could just exchange them for the right theater, but then all of a sudden the site wouldn't allow me to use my CC to pay the $0.50 balance. The same CC that they just used to buy the original tickets all of a sudden wouldn't work. I got onto their chat and was told that I couldn't get my money back. What a SCAM they have going. DO NOT USE THIS "SERVICE"

Convenience Fee? BS!

I don't mind a convenience fee for service, but to charge 18% PER TICKET for movie purchases is not only excessive, but wipes out any discount we may have qualified for.

First, last, and only time I will use Fandango.

Fandango is the worst kond of scam! DO NOT purchase the gift certificates without verifying local theaters! NONE of the theaters within a 50 miles radius of me sells tickets through fandango. It is a waste of hard earned money! How this company is still in business is beyond me as they are making money off of a product they can't deliver!
DONT USE FANDANGO you will get screwed!

Never using again.

I purchased tickets and tried to get a refund so I could buy tickets to a later showing. This was before the showtime. I ended up waiting TWO HOURS just to be told I wouldnt get a refund because I didnt contact them on time. What a waste of time.

I have no idea how it happened (human error or glitch) but when we turned up to see and early a.m. Star Wars show we were told we were at the wrong theater. There was no time to get to the other theater in traffic & the ticket agent said Fandango would refund or exchange so we re-bought tickets to see the show there instead. I recalled seeing a 'can't make it to the show?' link on the confirmation email and so felt like Fandango had a policy to handle the situation. On finding out you have two cancel 2 hours prior to movie or tough luck, I spent HOURS waiting in the online chat space and when I finally got through the agent quoted policy and then immediately ended the chat. Same experience via telephone. I cannot believe a company would hang up on both a chat & a telephone call like this and the zero bend to the 2 hour policy is ridiculous in situations like these. I finally called the other theater - the manager said this happens all the time and kindly offered passes that we can use in the future. I will never use Fandango again & will tell everyone I know to stay away. Unbelievably rude service & poor policy.

I got a coupon for donating blood. I've had it for about a month and finally got time to go to the movies. I went to the site to redeem the coupon, put in my zip code, and instead of giving me a list of theaters to choose from or linking me to the theater which is LITERALLY a minute drive from my house, I was referred to a theater over twenty minutes away which doesn't have free parking. Naturally, I didn't know I got my ticket from the wrong theater until I got the text message on how to redeem my ticket.

After waiting over 20 minutes, I finally got ahold of someone at customer service and all they did was refund me the difference I paid for the ticket. Not only would they not just give me a ticket for the correct theater but I wasn't given a refund for the "convenience charge" so I'm worse off now than I was before! All because their website stupidly doesn't pick the closest theater and the location doesn't stand out. Thanks for nothing, Fandango!

Truly lousy service

Fandango sucks.

I am a member of the Fandango VIP Club, which, according to their ads, lets me obtain refunds on tickets any time before show time.

Last week I bought three tickets for Rogue One. Julie bailed at the last minute, so I called Fandango from the theater to get a refund. This was 15 minutes before show time.

I was on hold for 15 minutes, until show time, and had to hang up.

I called the next day to speak to customer service. She promised to send me an email confirmation (which never came) and to send the "request" to the corporate office who would respond within 24-48 hours. I did not get a response.

I called again today, one week later, and was informed that the request was denied because Fandango doesn't give partial refunds, only full refunds on all of the tickets purchased. They don't mention this fact on their site, and they apparently don't inform their customer service reps.

So, i strongly recommend AGAINST joining Fandango and will certainly never purchase tickets through them again, because I consider their advertising to be deceptive, and their customer service stinks.

BEWARE OF ILLEGITIMATE CHARGES! Was just charged a $4 "convenience fee" for buying two tickets! WHAT A RIP OFF! I saw nothing about any extra charges when purchasing the tickets... I only noticed it when I saw my email from them! AND YOU CAN'T GET A REFUND! So I will stand in line for two minutes from now on and I will tell all my friends to NEVER USE FANDANGO!

Purchased 7 tickets and requested a refund for 2, Fandango said they WILL NOT refund tickets not used prior or after the movie. A bunch of Corp BS but based on all the other negative review not surprised.

BEWARE OF FALSE SHOWTIMES. I am so irritated with fandango. Gave us wrong movie times. Arrived at the theatre at the last matinee showing only to be told that the showing did not exist. Both my mother and I checked separately this morning and the showing was there, we planned the day around it and took all the kids excited to watch a movie to this disappointment. Good thing I didnt purchase tickets for the movie time online. Seeing as how difficult it is to get a refund, I would NOT trust fandango to purchase my movie tickets. ZERO stars if I could.

We bought our tickets, arrived just on time for our movie, but due to no act on our part, could not see the movie. There weren't enough seats for the 10 of us. Our unfortunate situation wasn't evident until AFTER the show time because as the show time approached, we were searching for seats, then we spent time petitioning the ticket office, then spend more time waiting for the manager, then more time as we waited for the manager to search the theater himself, and then tell us he was sorry that there weren't enough seats. I know your "policy" about refunds after the show starts, but this is an apparent and obvious exception. PLEASE REFUND ORDER # WF2T8SF
