Garbage company! Had to last minute cancel my movie and concession tickets. Movie tickets...no problem, immediate credit via e-mail. Concession is a bunch of tricks, no easy way to get credit. 1st I send a help message 14 minutes before the movie started, 11:16 for a 11:30 movie. Then I jump on a chat which is finally answered minutes later, give all the details, host says to hold on, they will confirm details and never answered back. Finally get an email back 1.5 hours later at 12:52 that I need to call them to resolve. I call and they tell me they can't refund after the movie has started. I explain, no problem I reached out before the movie started via email and chat. 2 days of calls and escalations for them to deny, lie about e-mail times (telling me they sent an e-mail telling me to call before the movie started), say if I don't have a screen shot of the chat then they can't help. Claim no log of the chat on their end...give me a break. Unreal...all over $31 of credit I wanted for 2 medium sodas and 2 packs M&M's. What a scam, lesson learned, never again. Skip the middle man, total unnecessary service getting rich off scamming regular people simply trying to take their kids to overpriced movies! Horrible customer service and not a care in the world, almost like they enjoyed it!
OneBlood gave out free movie tickets via Fandango. Redeemed on a Friday for a movie on Saturday. Clearly chose the right date but tickets were sent for Friday, seems after you select the date in first screen, then choose theater, it RESETS THE DATE with no indication to the user until the end. Of course I didn't notice the date being wrong pages later in checkout as I assumed it kept my selection. So then I get an email later Friday asking how the movie WAS, (during the showtime, not after). That is when I realized the issue, tried calling but as others noted they customer (Non)service refused to help. Luckily OneBlood supplied 4 tickets so I had 2 more. This time I was uber careful in redeeming and saw it reset the date on me without permission. Such a scam to have your site purposefully alter tickets back to current date after user selects a different one. I then Re-set the date again and it finally worked. Moral: don't user Fandango for anything ever again, go direct to AMC and choose a different day to give blood when they are not partnering with this scam site.
I purchased 2 movie tickets and did not receive the email confirmation to the email on file. I was charged of course. I have tried multiple times to contact them during their business hours through live chat and the AI bot keeps saying no one is available. This used to be a great company. What happened?

I tried numerous times prior to the showing to request a refund, because I was not able to access the tickets I purchased and had to purchase additional tickets for the same showing. The company had no way of me to contact them and my request ( which were all prior to the showing) went to an automated service which was of no help. They didnt even respond to my numerous requests until 2 weeks later with a generic email. Thier customer support is absolutly terrible.

Sold us tickets to Beetlejuice - Spanish version, but it wasn't labeled that. Then refused to refund them b/c it had already started. (Theater was not full.) No way for us to know it was in Spanish until it started. We support the bilingual offering, but don't speak Spanish!
I spoke to Steve the customer service supervisor and he would not refund our money for a movie that did not state it was in another language. Highly disappointed in fandango and I will never purchase from them again. We had purchased 4 tickets

This middle man site is useless every seat I choose it says another guest has already selected. Yet it didn't show it was reserved and when I called the theater they said it was empty. Jeep in mind I'm purchasing 3 days out
We tried to purchase movie tickets with three different Fandango gift cards. None of the card ID numbers were recognized, so they denied the purchase. I complained to the point-of-purchase retailer who apologized, reimbursed the value of the card, and told me that they receive more complaints on Fandango cards than any others.
If I could do a zero star rating, I would! This company is a fraud and should be investigated! I filed a complaint with BBB but the case was closed without any resolution. They claimed that my gift cards were expired when I tried to use them which was not true! They refused to replace or issue new gift cards for the ones I was unable to use. What a terrible way to do business!
I purchased tickets, had an unexpected conflict, I tried to call to change/refund my tickets, the phone line hung up on me twice so I had to wait until after the show time to attempt to resolve my issue. They refuse to refund or exchange my tickets. I'm stuck with the $78 charge.
I purchased tickets through this site, and unfortunately I had an emergency come up that night so I couldn't make the movies. Weeks after remembering the tickets I tried several times to redeem and change the movie and couldn't I tried calling and speaking with reps but after holding on the phone for 45 mins I gave up. I learned today that tickets that I purchased couldn't be redeemed or refunded. Its better just to purchase your movie tickets from the actual theater and cheaper.
Purchased tickets through Fandago to a theater 1 hour away because the movie wasn't playing in our area. Upon arrival, we were told that the movie was not at the theater and that it never was! The theater staff was super kind and refunded us our money. We were told other movie goers looking for the movie, were also turned away for the same reason. I will never do business with Fandago again!
Told me they would replace my movie certificates that expired during the pandemic and are now refusing to do so. They do not respond to emails or messages via social media. Waited on their chat feature for over 2 hours and was never connected with anyone. AWFUL customer service. Will avoid using again at all costs.
If there is any mistake made while ordering tickets you do not have recourse to get your money back. My young granddaughter ordered tickets online to a Cinemark 14. Unfortunately, it was in another state, so when we got to the theater we had to order new tickets. I tried to get a refund but they don't give them once the show starts. We always try to miss previews and don't worry about it because our seats are saved. The fact that there are no exceptions makes this a loosing proposition for customers. There is no customer service to speak of if you try to contact Fandango, you will wait on line for an hour to be told that their contracts do not allow refunds. I hope that Cinemark and other vendors rethink their alliance with this system.
Please don't use Fandango for your movie tickets. They are a rip off and terrible customer service. I cancelled my movie tickets and there was some type of glitch because it didn't go through. They would not refund my money although I did not attend the movie and they will not get you in contact with management or anyone other than whoever you get on the phone or by email. They would rather lose customers who have been using them for 10 + years than giving a credit. After now losing $30 for no reason, they had the nerve to say thanks for your understanding and I hope you continue to use our service. Definitely never using them again and I will be more than happy to share my experience with everyone else I know that has been using Fandango. Total RIP OFF. Go to Cinemark :)
Proctor and Gamble gave me a $5 reward code that Fandango refused to honor after multiple reviews. They don't even treat their clients with respect. I am sure they got their money from P & G. They didn't give a reason because they know they are wrong. Dishonest business model across the board.
We recently visited Applebee's in order to take advantage of the Top Gun movie ticket promotion. For every $25 spent, you would receive a movie ticket. We spent $58, therefore earning 2 tickets. I submitted necessary info and they claimed my receipt was missing info. I submitted a photo and they sent my info to another department for further verification. I kept emailing to find out status of my tickets. Never a response from their customer service until my email today, again asking. I'm now being told that the promotion is over and they don't have to honor my fulfillment. This is poor customer service any way you look at it.
I had an issue with trying to refund my ticket due to a misleading communication on their app, I tried so hard to get in touch with customer service and by the time I was given the time of day, the movie had already started, a movie which was an hour away from me that I did not attend. As a result Fandango would not refund my ticket but instead pocket my money.
They treated me so poorly over the phone and gave no consideration to extenuating circumstances regarding my ticket purchase. I Will never use this service again. I doubt this will be seen, but it seems I'm not the only one they have wronged, given their 1 star overall rating.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
