Horrible customer service. Waited an hour on hold, then when someone finally answered they "transferred" me, then I immediately got cut off. Also their VIP rewards are a total fraud... I was not able to redeem them. I'll never use Fandango again!
Received $25 Fandango gift card. Bought 2 adult tickets for $11 each. At checkout, it was revealed that Fandango only allowed $9 towards tickets plus a $3 convenience fee. Total rip off! Cant believe they are still in business.
What a HORRID company with a terrible website! These people are the absolute worst, I will never order anything from them again. I ordered tickets for a Friday, and there website is so bad, it set the date for Thursday (the day I ordered). I called them to fix the issue and they were no help at all. The person I spoke with was obviously someone in India who I could barely understand, just great! They would not switch the ticket dates or provide a refund. I even disputed my credit card transaction because, why should I pay when the goods/services were not received? They won. $#*!s! Burn in hell Fandango, your reviews SUCK, you should be shut down as a company and all your idiot employees should not even have jobs. Go suck it you incompetent pieces of $#*!!
Customer service line (number found online) simply hangs up on me immediately. Tried 4 times. I did, however, find an online page to request a refund. This process was quick and easy online. The charge to my card for my ticket purchase hit my account immediately. The so-called refund has not yet appeared, and I have no assurance it ever will. Also, they refunded less than they originally charged. Fandango does not give good value for their "convenience" fee. RECOMMENDATION: buy your tickets AT the theatre. Next time, I will!
Fandango is so bad I don't know where to begin. They have NO customer support whatsoever. Their website crashes all the time, both on mobile devices and home computers. When you finally figure out (after 30 minutes) how to navigate to their chat help, you're put in a queue for 45 minutes! Email requests for refunds are not processed..."error, error, error." I found a phone number and they won't answer because "all customer support agents are busy, call back." Are you kidding me. Fandango sucks.
Horrible! Bought 6 tickets online, tried to exchange / refund and was denied. Tried calling multiple times and could not get through. Finally utilized the only help chat after waiting an hour and "James" denied my request then disconnected us.
So rude, will NOT ever do business with Fandango again!
Their mobile platform is absolutely horrible. We received multiple error messages in the shopping cart. Customer service is reasonably friendly, but from reading the other complaints, it appears that upper management prefers to not fix things, and doesn't believe in the one call solution.
You can't print out separate tickets, they just give you one for everyone, that's ridiculous. I've never seen something like that before. When I complained about that, I got a message creating an account for me, rather than doing anything to address my concerns.
When someone buys a card, and gives as a gift, then we find that the number doesn't work 3 months later... and worst of all there is no place to fix this from FANDANGO website.
I would feel terrible going back to the gift'er..."hey your card doesn't work".
These electronic cards are useless... use cash, or take them out with you.

Thanksgiving day, sitting in the theater 20 minutes before start time. My wife's phone rings, our eldest daughter has been in a head-on crash and is being admitted to a hospital an hour away. The theater won't give a refund because we bought on Fandango. On the way to the hospital, and after several 30 minute waits and disconnects, efforts to reach Customer Service reveal that they will not be giving us a refund. Over $54 dollars passed away. What an inhuman cooperate structure & policy. Never again. You're dead to me!
I will never use fandango again. They say that you can reschedule or refund your ticket if needed but do not have a website that works or service you can get ahold of. Whether chat or phone or website. They told me it was after showtime although I tried all platforms for two hours prior with screen shots. Total scam. Don't bother using them.
I am trying to get a refund for tickets I just purchased because I selected the wrong theater. No phone number, the "can't make the movie?" link is broken, " Sorry an error occurred while processing your request.", and the chat says it will take 35 minutes... Really?

Said it would be 5 minutes, then kept changing. 45 minutes later I got assistance from someone who could not help me with a basic request that could easily be accommodated at a theater. Called the phone number and waited for over 30 minutes with no answer.
Tried using a gift card from Christmas and getting error message. Tried calling and now on hold for almost 30 minutes... still haven't gotten through. This is ridiculous. Terrible company to deal with- will never purchase from again. POOR customer service and website.
Bought tickets with access by phone. I accidentally left my phone at home. Was told no way to get refund or credit after movie showed even though tickets were not used. I will never use fandango again!

No place in the list of rates or fees is the "so called Convenience Fee" listed. They are cheats. I will not be wasting my time with time or money with them again. No reason to pay a penny more than box office prices for MOVIE tickets! EVER!
I know that Star wars came out. But waiting 1 hour and a half to get them on the phone is a disgrace. We did it 3 times then finally left out number to call us back. Hey called back 1/2 hour later. Al we wanted was our confirmation #. Just terrible,, gave us a bad taste! Hire more people if u know it will be busy!
Fandango manipulates movie reviews by keeping good reviews on top of the list; for weeks if you write a bad review it does get dropped quickly to the bottom of the list. Notice, lately all movies have been getting four or five stars, really?
Fandango, this is false advertising and unethical.
I purchased my tickets in advance it snow like crazy could not make the movie. Called fandango the next day stayed on the phone for 3 hours and was told they deny me a refund. I will never purchase from fandango again!
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
