The company enjoys a strong reputation for exceptional customer service, with numerous reviews praising the professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency of the staff across various locations. Customers consistently highlight the smooth rental process and the quality of the vehicles. However, some concerns arise regarding staff training on company policies, leading to occasional issues like unauthorized charges and vehicle maintenance oversights. Overall, while the majority of feedback reflects high satisfaction and a willingness to recommend the service, addressing training and communication gaps could further enhance the customer experience.

My husband and I dropped a car off late at night and drove 6 hrs home after picking our daughter up at college. Since it was late we left a very important item and didn't realize it till we were home. I called the next morning and spoke to an employee who said he had it. I explained my situation and the manager fed ex it to me and we received it the next day. They went above and beyond for us and I can't thank them enough. There are great people working at enterprise, especially in Greensboro, NC Market St
My experience with enterprise was TERRIBLE! The car that I originally reserved was not available upon pickup (no biggie). I was then told by the sales rep that he would then cut my daily rental rate in half for the inconvenience from $58.25 to $30 a day bringing the time distance total down to $90. With the discount added I decided to add insurance for $24.99 for the 3 days ($74.97). After the discount and insurance was added my estimated total charges were promised to be $214.25 after taxes and fees and one of the receipts I received detailed these rates. However, upon returning the car I was not charged the discounted rate promised or even the original reservation rate. I was charged a rate of $117.73 a day for my rental plus the insurance I added and taxes and fees ($489.85). After realizing that they overcharged me nearly 4 times the promised rate they also had charged my credit card an additional $41.98 on top of the $489.85 bringing the total that I was charged to outstanding $531.83 when I was told I would be charged $214.25. I had to call and explain to the manager at the Kansas City Airport location where I rented the vehicle from. The lady i spoke with was very unhelpful and took forever to understand the mistake that was made when I clearly explained it several times. In conclusion this was my WORST car rental experience. I will most likely never rent from enterprise again unless they can offer some sort of compensation for the inconvenience.
I really don't know where to begin On October 5th I made a reservation to pick my vehicle up in Hollywood FL location. I left work early in order to be there prior to the closing (6 pm)
Upon arrival with my reservation in hand, I questioned the deposit amount as I was told a different amount than what reservations had given me. I mentioned the same to the Assistant Manager Michael Gonzalez who then stated in a sarcastic manner regarding the deposit. He then looked to his Manager Gino Petit and again stated we have never charged $100.00 deposit, I was made aware of the $200.00 instead. That wasn't an issue however Michael Gonzalez informed me that he wasn't going to rent a car to me and suggested I go somewhere else. I was appalled to say the very least. I spoke to Gino reminind him that he was the Manager and would he rent me a car. He stated I have to work with him tomorrow so I will not be able to rent you the vehicle. By this time I was in tears, I called corporate to complain and now 5 weeks later still wating for a call back from the area Manager. I was finally able to rent a vehicle at another location. THe problems continued. Now they have over $1000 dollars from me with no one even given me the professional courtesy of a call back. I could go on with the other ongoing problems that still exist. Stay clear of this company rent from Avis, Budget or Hertz never Enterprise again.
Turns out the weekend special isn't so special anymore. You are limited to 300 miles. IMO that penalizes renters who live in areas that are long distances from arts and entertainment.
So after putting a pencil to it, I guess it's easier to go back to making a car payment for those cheap weekend getaways.
The staff ended up very nice. They have quite a bit of stress and are understaffed, however they ended up providing great service. I like Brian and Cindy. They were professional and courteous.
A family friend failed to remove all of her belongings from inside the car. We called the office the next day they said they would look for it. They found it and decided they needed to OPEN it. The employees at Enterprise should have never opened something that they found. Do the employees go through pictures on someone's camera that a renter left? Probably. Would they read the entries of a journal left by a high schooler? Probably. Would they go through someone's phone? No doubt. The employees decided to open something that they had no business opening. I will NEVER use Enterprise again, and I will share my experience with others considering doing business with your company. In this day and age, privacy is one of our last forms of freedom, and Enterprise has shown that it could care less about the privacy of its customers.
Several times a year I must rent a car for one reason or another.
I have nothing but high praise for Enterprise... their rates are competitive... the reservation and booking are reliable... but most significantly they offer pick-up and drop-off service.
At the moment I am knocking on wood so as not to jinx my good fortune with this company.
All the vehicles have been new and clean... probably nicer than my own cars, for that matter.
Five stars for you, Enterprise...
I have had NOTHING but issues with this company starting with a rental car that smelt like pot inside and then having no joy from them in helping to switch the car out. Tonight the car broke down and I can promise you I have NEVER seen such terrible service in fact customer service does not exist with this terrible company. I have been a long time customer and the way they have dealt with these issues is unacceptable.
Did not receive any help from the employees at two different locations. No effort whatsoever to help me or explain. Zero customer service.
Employees are very untrained at the one on 10th St in Greenville NC and they have no clue what they are talking about. They are liars. Never use Enterprise unless you want a headache.
I needed a rental car for 1 day to drive me from florida to virginia. About 800 mile drive. Went to reserve the car for 1 day only and they quoted me about $450. Which most of that was a deliver fee to get the vehicle back to original locatio. Went to hertz and got a premium car for only $160 for the whole trip. After realizing how much of a rip off enterprise would have been, its safe to say they lost me as a customer and hertz will now be taking my business. So thank you again enterprise for trying to rip me off, because you didnt just lose me ad a customer as i have told my story to everyone, including people who rent from you often
Branch #6541
There is a serious lapse in communication and accountability at this location. Insurance was all set to cover the rental with the exception of 4 days which would be around $125. But! As the car was being dropped off (in perfect condition) we were informed that we were misinformed the day we picked the rental up. First, the associate handling the pick up explicitly said that coverage was needed on the rental so we trusted that associate and opted in for it thinking we had NO choice (and later found out it's completely optional) so we were charged for something we were not supposed to under false pretenses. We also found that the associate didn't even give us the right information and charged the WRONG insurance type of the rental (again that we never needed but were told to opt in for).
So today while dropping it off, they are telling us that their policy states all insurance on the rentals is optional but did not want to acknowledge the fact that one of their associates did not honor that policy and basically forced us to opt in on something we DID NOT NEED.
Keep in mind that there is DIRECT communication between this enterprise branch and Allstate insurance(the company paying for the rental) so there should have been no problems or miscommunication on how the rental should be handled.
The local branch refused to help in any way shape or form, was very passive aggressive and went as far as to lie about their not being a headquarters or corporate number for us to call to speak to someone who CAN help.
Well we got the number for the Area manager and left a message because this situation is ridiculous and someone needs to take responsibility and rectify the whole situation.
The total should be a little under $200, now it is $500 for charges that are very arguable. We have absolutely no problem paying the correct amount owed but $500 is absurd.
I have been renting vehicles from Enterprise in Ontario, CA near the Airport terminal for quite some time now. Our company has a corporate account with them. The staff here is top shelf! They always aim to please. Really appreciate, the consistent level of service I receive from Samson and Ashley, both of which go the extra mile to ensure I have a great experience.
Thank you, Team!

I had a confirmation number and the day I was supposed to get the car they told me there was no car available. So last minute I had to scramble around to make my commitment
It was hard to tell where incompetence ended, and outright scam began. I reserved a car online for $200 for a week. They didn't actually have a car when I got there, so it was either up-sell to a $250 rental or walk home. I then agreed to a $23.99 charge for damage protection. It was never specified that the charge was $23.99 a day! (I pay barely $50/month for full insurance on my own car... for the whole month!) Final bill was over $450.
I drove it no more than just the 10 minute commute every day to/from work, and returned it, clean, with more gas than it started with. On return, hail damage to the roof was found... in the middle of the summer, in south Mississippi. The woman who rented me the vehicle had never once looked at the roof... I was with her the whole time.
If you have no other choice and have to rent from these people, a) take detailed video of the entire vehicle inspection process, and b) don't agree to anything.
Enterprise Rent a Car has no word of honor.
I will make sure that I tell everyone I know to NEVER USE THEM.
Made reservations in Miami Florida and the day to pick up a car they rented my unit to the highest bidder.
Proof of that we are starting in the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami Florida and the same branch that accepted our reservation was dropping off cars all day for two to three times what they accepted my reservation #*******063
This for 9/14/10 to 9/15/19.
Why accept reservation if you will not honor it.
I hope you loose more customer like myself.
I have reported this to American Express Travel and the Consumer Affairs as well as YELP and every single rating/review company
This company is a joke. Do not waste your time and money on this business. If you are looking to rent a vehicle, look elsewhere. They will ask for credit card even if they received a full payment along with a deposit. When a vehicle is returned in perfect condition, they will still find "random issues" with the vehicle.
E returned the rental vehicle after hours and dropped the keys in the drop box. The next morning we received a call from the manager "Matt" stating that the car was damaged and he needed my insurance information. I asked if the lot had cameras and he stated it did but he hadn't viewed the footage yet. I requested that he call the Troy police to which he stated that he could not as the car was my responsibility as no employee had checked it in when we returned it. We drove to the store to view the damages and we called the Troy police department ourselves. The officer stated that this particular location has an issue with vandalism and has been instructed that they need to secure the lot better. It was obvious that someone had walked across the cars parked next to this particular vehicle by the muddy footprints on their hoods and then jumped onto the hood of the car we returned. Enterprise has treated us horribly and still demands that we pay for the damages! They should not allow after hour drop offs at locations where vandalism has been an issue. As a side note, when I visited the Troy police department to retrieve a copy of the police report, the desk officer stated that their had been 10 more acts of vandalism at Enterprise the night after we returned our rental!
My car agreement number is *******. I was wrongfully charged $495.98 on 9/3/2019 for broken window due to a car break-in. The incident happened around 9.30pm on 9/2/2019 near College Park, GA. The police case number is 19-*******.
When I rented the car, I specifically informed the lady behind the counter that I don't have any car insurance. She nodded and told me it's fine. When I was shown the car, no one informed me about any liability or insurance policies I should be aware of. It is until the crime when I returned the car to Enterprise ATL. The people who worked there asked me to go upstairs see the people behind the counter. People behind the counter asked me to go to the office located at car pick up. Car pick up place asked me to go to return the car place. Eventually, one lady told me I needed to pay for the broken window which I was a victim of. I could not believe no one helped me and even trying to taking advantage from me, an innocent victim. I am deeply disappoint towards the company and customer service. I am not going to and will definitely not recommend this company to anyone.
I had booked with enterprise two weeks before my trip and somehow my reservation got cancelled a week before my trip. So the next day i called to see if i can get my reservations back for the same rate and they told me that they can't change the rates they have to go off of what the rate are now. This is ridiculous and frustrating your a paying customer and can't even get any help with something that you had no control over just because they want money so bad. This is how you lose customers by not being on there side to help and make sure there are situated and everything is taken care of
Answer: They do not respond to complaints. Which is kind of frustrating when you have a complaint.
