About Me

Having grown up in urban middle America I longed for adventure well beyond my limited perspective. I always thought my creativity was my ticket out. The first creative thing I did was make up a poem when I was four years old. While in primary school it was art and by college it was music. After 25 years as a professional musician I am rediscovering poetry again.

Left leaning posters have their post deleted if the post gets too many reps especially if its a sick burn on a right wing poster. The Politics forum seems like its purpose is to foment hate between Americans.

Turns out the weekend special isn't so special anymore. You are limited to 300 miles. IMO that penalizes renters who live in areas that are long distances from arts and entertainment.
So after putting a pencil to it, I guess it's easier to go back to making a car payment for those cheap weekend getaways.

These sites promote the farce that venues have difficulty finding good talent. Actually the opposite is truer and these sites don't facilitate the reality that good artist who are talented, reliable, and hardworking sometimes don't look good on paper or video. A good video can mean that everything the artist had no control over panned out.

The biggest beef with the site is too many venues that clearly have no desire to book a metal band, children's performer, or blues act will take submissions from them. Venues should be held to a limited number of genres that realistically reflect their actual vibe.

I am not sure what they really are offering artist. Anyone can google "submit music" and find plenty of places to submit their music to free. When you use the email venue feature nobody opens it unless they are familiar with you and have booked you before, and in that case you don't need to contact them through the site.

Tip for consumers:
At best it makes a decent website to direct people to
