Dyson Ball -Animal 3
Worst vacuum I have ever used and at 69 years old, I have used a few. This worthless vacuum is nothing more than a dirt blower and forget using it on a deep pile area rug. I have a bad hip and shoulder and purchased this to ease the vacuuming chore and it will not push at all on my area rug. On the laminate floors it just blows the dirt around. What a waste of money and a complete hardship on my physical wellbeing.

I'm disappointed with the quality of the Dyson vacuum cleaner. I purchased it with high hopes for efficiency and ease of use, but was deeply disappointed. The dust container fills up very quickly and you have to empty it often, which takes a lot of time. In addition, the noise from the vacuum cleaner is very high, which interferes with comfortable use. Overall, I do not recommend this vacuum cleaner from Dyson due to its inconvenience and low efficiency.
Absolutely terrible. The head broke within 2 months, we were told it's because we dared to use the max setting...the entire reason we bought it. So you pay way over the odds for a specific feature that you are then told you can't use because it will continue to break the machine and next time you won't be getting a replacement for free, let me tell you. If I even broach the idea of using the max setting now, it will work for an monumental 5 seconds before draining the entire power of the thing and then requires a 6 hour charge. Insanity that it can marketed like this when it's utter tripe. Avoid, avoid avoid...
I had high hopes for Dyson when I shelled out a whopping $600 for their cordless vacuum, expecting a reliable and durable cleaning companion. However, after a mere three years of use, my enthusiasm has been replaced with frustration and regret.
The first glaring issue arose when the power button on my Dyson cordless vacuum suddenly decided to call it quits. In a baffling turn of events, Dyson's customer service displayed a level of indifference that I didn't think was possible. Despite my pleas for assistance, I was informed that my model had been discontinued, and Dyson had washed their hands of any responsibility.
If that's not bad enough, they informed me that even if I were to send the malfunctioning vacuum back to them at my own expense, they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. So much for Dyson being environmentally friendly – apparently, they'd rather see their products end up in landfills than take responsibility for faulty devices.
But wait, the horror story doesn't end there. My Dyson canister vacuum, a separate purchase that set me back considerably, decided to join the rebellion against functionality after a mere nine years. When I reached out to Dyson with hopes that they would show some compassion or offer a solution, I was met with the same disinterested response. "Sorry, we can't do anything about that either."
So here I am, stuck with two useless Dyson vacuums and a gaping hole in my wallet. Dyson's customer service is, without a doubt, the worst I have ever experienced. It's ironic that a company priding itself on innovation and cutting-edge technology would fall so short in basic customer support. Save yourself the disappointment and invest your hard-earned money elsewhere; Dyson's vacuums are not worth the exorbitant prices or the headaches that come with them.
My 1 year old Dyson dropped and the latch that attaches the canister broke. I called Dyson to find out how much it would be to repair/replace the button I called multiple times, but no one picked up. Left voicemails, but no one called back. Finally went to store with my vacuum and waited an hour to speak with a technician. A lady came after I had been there for 40 minutes and they helped her before me. Once they were done with her they looked at my vacuum and told me that it would be about $350 to fix. They offered me a new one with a trade-in for about $450 which was about $50 more than I could've gotten on their website without a trade-in. The website states a 20% owner loyalty discount. I asked for that but they wouldn't give it to me. Entire process took about an hour and a half. I'll probably buy a shark next time.
Wrote this review and Dyson quickly responded with a comment about how concerned they are and asking that I write to their customer service. I did. Twice. 5 days later and I have yet to receive a response.
I have had an AWFUL experience with Dyson, thus far. First, my blow dryer blew out after only 1.5 years of owning it. Then, I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to speak to a representative (Kevin) to get a new one. I sent the malfunctioning Dyson back on December 4th and Dyson received it on December 8th. I kept waiting for my new Dyson, but it never arrived. On Thursday, January 4th, after getting tired of waiting, I called back and spent 1 hour and 40 minutes waiting to speak to a representative and then coincidentally, got Kevin again. I explained that I never received my new Dyson. After another hour of him researching what happened to my order, he then told me that the reason it was not sent was because they did not have the same model I had originally in stock. This INFURIATED me even more because the first time I spoke to Kevin he had already informed me that my original color was not available and I told him I did not care what color I received. Kevin informed me that Dyson would send me a green and pink blow dryer instead and I would receive a tracking number in 24-48 hours. It's been 120 hours, and I have yet to receive the tracking number for my new Dyson. FYI, Kevin was great! Not his fault at all!
DYSON CUSTOMERS BEWARE! I ordered a vacuum for a Christmas present. Dyson's site said it would be shipped in 1-2 days. I waited 9 days and still did not receive my tracking number. I called Dyson and the lady I spoke to said that she could see that the vacuum had not been shipped yet and agreed it wouldn't make it in time for Christmas. So, I canceled the order. The Dyson lady then told me that I would not get my refund until the vacuum arrived back to the factory. I said, you just told me it never left! And she started with I'm sorry sir, that is our policy. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the Dyson rep. Said she was a supervisor. After 15 mins of trying to get my refund, I gave up. It is now going on for 3 weeks and still have not gotten my refund. So, I had to go to my Credit card company and put in a dispute. Dyson customer service was by far the worst I have ever dealt with. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!
I purchased a new V15 absolute from Costco, and after 2 months of use the vacuum stopped working. After spending an hour on hold, I finally was able to speak to someone who walked me through the extract troubleshooting steps I did prior to calling (so a waste of time) they then determined the machine needed to be replaced. I shipped the vacuum back to Dyson on Dec 4th and now one month later still haven't had confirmation on when I will receive the replacement. The lack of support, difficulty to reach any customer service rep who knows something, and total lack of empathy for customers who spent hundreds of dollars on a vacuum that lasted 2 months. Dyson has lost a customer for life.
I bought a Dyson purifier in February 2023 and registered it in March 2023 the power cord burnt up and we brought it to be fixed which was supposed to be under warranty and we drive an hour and a half to bring it to be fixed Only to be told that my warrantee was up and then stayed on the line on the telephone for over 3 1/2 hours going back-and-forth with customer service and supervisors telling me now they need a copy of my receipt which they had in March 2023 in due to the inadequateness of the employer of Dyson's customer service in them not doing their job. My information was not properly put into the computer so with that being said, I am still waiting two hours later for a callback from another supervisor, and then I was told that they cannot give me corporate number so that I can make it proper complete
I would give zero stars if I could. I will never buy any Dyson machine ever again. Having been a fan for years and wanting to support a British company. I paid to get my machine fixed in June (five whole months ago). It's still not fixed after an ENORMOUS number hours of talking to customer services and repeating the same questions AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN right from the beginning of the whole story and all the tests they want to run though AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. And THREE WHOLE DAYS waiting at home for them to collect the machine, which they didn't. I gave up and asked for a refund and told the repair is NON REFUNDABLE even though my machine hasn't been fixed. I plan on telling everyone I know. Awful awful treatment of your faithful customers.
I loved my Dyson supersonic hair dryer until it broke. My Dyson hair dryer stopped working after 4 years of use, despite my regular filter cleaning. I contacted customer service and was instructed to send it in for repair. However, when the technicians received it, they informed me that they didn't have the necessary parts to fix it. I was surprised to hear that Dyson corporate had refused to provide the parts, even though they still manufacture the Supersonic dryer. This experience has left me feeling disappointed with the customer service I received from a company whose products I have previously enjoyed.
The only option I was given was a 20% discount on a new product, which seems to be a ploy to force customers to purchase new items instead of repairing the old ones. As a loyal customer who owns multiple Dyson products, I expected better customer service and a longer lifespan for a product that cost me $500. I will not consider buying another Dyson product unless they are willing to take responsibility for their products and provide better customer support.
Ordered vacuum on 10/10. Never received and charged. Followed tracking of package showing Sam location in Kentucky for 10 days. Followed up through web site. Told us was in Kentucky and they had so many days yet to ship. Still no pkg. Called direct yesterday and same message. Pkg delayed no notices. Could not credit account for another 10 to 12 days. But charged immediately! Poor service poor communication. Will never order or purchase a Dyson product again!
Arranged a repair for a Dyson hairdryer that is still under warranty. Dyson took a week to pick the machine up. Despite the fact that I sent them a screenshot of the confirmation of my warranty to May 2024 (now sent 3 times) they have repeatedly refused to honour the warranty and they said that I have to pay £99 for a replacement refurbished machine. Unusually, customer services told me that they have no complaints procedure and there is no way of escalating a complaint.
Dyson also insist that ALL documents of proof have to be sent to them on What's App which is, in itself very bizarre. Quite difficult for me due to a disability that makes it very difficult for me to type on small phone screens. Dyson weren't at all interested in my disability, and if they have a policy for helping disabled customers then their customer services staff don't know about it.
I am now sufficiently angry that I plan to progress with a small claims court claim. I have more than enough proof for a successful claim... The more people who hold this arrogant and customer unfocused company to account the better.
I'm on my third Dyson stick vacuum over a ten year period. Although a web search shows the expected life span is 10 years, if this is your primary vacuum it's more like 3 years.
Now you're wondering why I keep going back to Dyson since they cost so much more and don't last as long as they claim. The short answer is performance. It does the best job removing dust, dirt and pollen and also can go under most furniture. I bought another brand with a 30 day return policy and did my own comparison so saw for myself Dyson really does clean better.
Another plus is I've been able to use the majority of the old attachments I've acquired so it's not all lost.
I bought the Dyson Ph4 humidifier/purifier online. Dyson's delivery company is Purolator - anyone familiar with this company would understand how bad they are. Purolator failed to deliver my package three times because of "weather conditions." Even though I have two legs and can walk outside and see with my two eyes that it was nice and sunny out. I called Dyson to request my package to be delivered by Canada Post because I would not waste my time waiting for Purolator to deliver my package - my request was declined. I just requested a refund. If Dyson labels itself a top-end product company, it should provide its customers with good delivery services. I would never repurchase a Dyson product.
Dyson is not a good brand they are overpriced. Have only a one year warranty which is fishy considering how expensive it is and you hear big brand like Google and ring who replace products after 4-5 years. This is because you pay a thousand dollars for a vacume and then it breaks in a couple years. Mine lasted 4 years I called customer support and they wanted me to send it to them to fix that I would have to pay for. Sad a vacume that expensive lasts 4 years. Will never buy another dyson again.
Very satisfied with the vacuum unit. The battery pack is extremely disappointing. The first power pack was replaced free of charge, because the warranty period was still valid. The second power pack lasted approximately 2.5 years. I have just paid $104.63 to replace it. At this rate, I will have paid for a whole new unit in about 3 years. Something needs to be done about the life of the power packs -- not a good product.
I bought a new Dyson Hot & Cool Air Purifier which on delivery didn't work at all. I contacted the retailer who was then out of stock and they told me that they had sorted the matter out with Dyson who I was told would exchange it, and all I needed to do was phone them.
I then phoned Dyson from work, and after going through everything over approx 15 minutes I was told that I had to carry out some checks on the machine before they could exchange it. I explained that the machine was at home and so I had to phone back. I then phoned Dyson later that afternoon and spent another 10/15 minutes going through everything and then they said they had no stock. I asked when they would get stock in and they said they didn't know. I asked whether it would be a week or so or months and they said they didn't know. I said I was disappointed and could they provide another model for the same price, but they said no.
That meant Dyson couldn't help and left me with no alternative but to go back to the retailer who had sold me the defective Dyson item and ask for a refund.
I was very disappointed as anybody would if they had bought something new whether it was a car, washing machine or expensive air purifier that doesn't work from day 1, I'd been given the run around and there was no help replacing it.
Customer service is horrible. I have been trying to get a refund on a battery I shipped back to them in October 2022. It's now January and I still do not have my refund. They sent me a conformation that they received the part, but I was never credited the money to my credit card. I have contacted customer service and did the chat as well. Now they are telling me they have no record of receiving my part even though I received a conformation email from them. They are not even willing to give me a supervisor's email to forward my conformation email to. They are only giving me a generic support email account to forward the email to and what a surprise, no one has contacted me back after 4 days. I did contact the better business bureau and filled a complaint. They rip people off!
