I ordered and paid for $100 DSW gift card and never received it. I was on with customer service for an 1 1/2 hours only to be told that it was already used in Columbus, Ohio (their headquarters). I live in Pennsylvania and would not have even received it in the mail by the time it was used. DSW will not issue a new gift card even though they see my account and the fraudulent situation. I was told by the supervisor that this happens frequently yet they continue to mail their gift cards. Please DSW shoppers beware of ordering a physical giftcard! I hope this doesn't have to happen to anyone else!
Ordered a pair of shoes online. Received a completely different shoe. Send back the wrong item after emailing someone from dsw customer care. Two weeks later, still no pair of shoe and no refund/exchange and no word from customer service. Credit card company give them two more weeks if not i will be completing a claim with my credit card company. DSW you have lost my business. Been a nightmare!
Horrible Horrible service. They lie about everything and also are extremely rude. The customer service representative hung up on me for telling him about my terrible experience at the store. I'm very disappointed.
I'm writing this review because I'm really frustrated with the situation I'm in. I understand times are tough now and a lot of companies have furloughed a lot of employees, however, there should be enough staff to ensure that great customer service is provided. I've been trying to get a hold of a live agent for 2 days straight and no luck. No live agents to chat online either. I ordered a package and was delivered a completely different shoe; nothing in relation to what I had ordered. When I received my order, the return label was not included. No one was available to request that return label and DSW does not allow customers to print that label out either (like other companies). I went to Fedex and they are charging me $23 to ship the package back to the warehouse. It is insanely to think that I have to pay for someone's mistake. I've written emails and only gotten an auto reply message. Very highly upset!
I was receiving with a very nasty attitude from this employee name Mckenzie who works qt DSW in ST Cloud, MN. It was my first time going to the store but I will never go back again to the store if this employee treat black customer with a negative attitude. I will not tolerate that. When someone buy an item there it was supposed to be put in the plastic bag and not carry the shoe bag and I have to ask her if they don't put the shoe the bag and she responded to me with a nasty answer if I wanted a plastic bag. Who has this kind of education on this earth allowing this negative and nasty people to work in this kind of environment. I will never there there again... you guys really need to check your employees seriously.
DSW is my favorite place to get my shoes from. They have many different varieties which you can't really find else where at times. Just last month my mom and I went in to get her the new Skechers Shape-ups. The second my mom saw the ones in light pink she fell in love with it and made up her mind that those are the ones she wanted. I asked the sales person if they had them in wide. Guess what they say? I'm sorry Skechers don't make those for people that have WIDE FEET. I was so shocked when I heard that. It almost sounded as if my mom was deformed or something. So then we went to the mall and she spotted the same shoes at a different store (NOT DSW) and the sales person was like I'm sorry I don't have those in WIDE but I can get them for you by tomorrow. Have them ship it to me by tomorrow and you guys can pick it up if you like. My mom was so excited. But the point is that DSW don't really treat their customers right. They don't really care to help you.
WORST STORE EVER. Do not shop at DSW. They suck! My mom tried to return a pair of shoes that she had bought a week prior and they refused to take them back saying that the return was denied. She had the receipt and the tags or price label was still in tact, the shoes were not worn. There was no reason for the return to be denied, the store manager came out and said he couldn't help her and told her she needed to call some number and that's all he could say. My mom was furious! They are an awful store to shop at, worst customer service EVER. I will never shop there again myself. They suck so bad. Stay away!
Worst ordering experience. I placed a shoe order on 10/5/11. No update to the order till 10/11/11. Called customer service on 10/11/11 and was told, the item "may" have shipped, but, status not updated in their accounts and advised to wait till 10/24/11 for shipment to arrive. Checked status on 10/20/11 and see that the order has been cancelled on 10/13/11 without any email notification for reason of cancellation. I was not charged for the order though.
The item I had ordered showed available to order again on 10/20/11. Placed a new order and as of now (10/25/11) looks I will be going through the same again:-)
Called customer service on 10/25/11 who had no clue what was going on with the orders. Waiting for some answers...
Spend $140 on these beautiful Betsey Johnson boots for a gift & the person that packaged them for shipping could have cared less. They put the boots & another pair of shoes in a bag. The box was complete beat to hell & several crystals came off. I called & spoke with someone that almost spoke no English & she couldn't understand what I was telling her. She then put me on hold & then came back and said, "hello, hello, hello" several times super fast clear as day and then hung up. I'm almost certain she could her me her "hellos" left no response time so to me totally fake. I'm now holding again for going on an hour! I'm so disappointed because this was a huge splurge gift for me & I wanted to be proud of it. That joy was taken from me & this company doesn't care.
Tried to purchase dress heels for a wedding, but all they had was sneakers. The sales person said they were having trouble getting items due to Covid 19, but they must have had over 500 different sneakers?
So I ordered online and then when I went to pick them up at the store, they only had one pair, I has ordered 2, now I am scrambling to find shoes.
Worse customer service ever!
I was sent worn boots, not even in a correct box, the box had no lids or no packing inside boots. Would not send another pair to store for an exchange, said I had to reorder on my end and pay and they would refund when boots were returned. All I wanted was a fair exchange, since they sent me worn and returned boots. Will not be ordering or shopping there again. Horrible customer service.
Bought a pair of shoes for my daughter that were too small. She needed them quickly so I didn't have time to do an exchange. For some reason I lost $20 when I sent the first pair back. Purchased another pair for $70+. Great shoes but I will NEVER buy from this company again. EVER. Live and learn. Also I have proof of purchase but have NO idea how to "upload" an image.
If there's a negative rating lower than zero, that's what i give them. Sent me the wrong shoes and instead of expediting my ordered shoes they refunded me and have me order again and that delayed everything! They don't care!
If you're looking for some affordable, stylish, and unique shoes, then check out DSW. I ordered three pair of sandals at a great price, plus I received free shipping. They are gorgeous! I've gotten loads of compliments on them. What I love most is that the styles I ordered aren't found in stores near me. Uniqueness is a plus for me. They send me discounts and coupons as well. The ONLY con is that the shipping takes a little longer than most I've ordered from to get here.
I live in Arizona and frequent the store at Desert Ridge in Phoenix. The customer service at this store is always impeccable. They great you when you walk in the door, ask if you need assistance and they are extremely efficient at checkout. It's not easy to have this experience consistently, however whatever they do at this location in training is wonderful! It makes my shopping experience so pleasant! Thank you!
This exact same thing has happened two orders in a row now. I order shoes online to pick up in the store. I use an available coupon. DSW charges my card. I wait. I hear nothing from DSW within the two hour pickup timeframe. I call the store. The store tells me they do not have those particular shoes in stock and will be canceling my order and refunding my money in 3 to 5 business days. This has happened twice in a row now. So then I have to reorder and have shipped to my house, but of course I cannot use my coupon again. Stay far away from this company that sells you items they don't even have. They bait you with coupons then cancel your order so you have to reorder without the coupon.
I am very y upset with dsw. I ordered a pair of shoes they came in a generic box with no cover. I looked at the shoes the soles were dirty, they were stretched out and on top of that is hey were the wrong size. Still waiting for new ones to be sent.
I got my order I placed online and realized the size was small. I picked a fon to call customer service just to ask if I can exchange in their store. I stayed on the fon first for 15 minutes, second for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes, I could not even hear the waiting song. I hanged up and called again. Stayed on for like 17 minutes, someone comes on the fon and I just complained about how long I have been on the line. This representative never said a word and stayed on the line till I said hello again and then she tells me '' I'm still here''. DSW needs to step up their customer service. You don't treat customers like you don't need them.

I purchase items online and pay through PayPal. On 12/30/20 I purchased 2 pair of boots and my account was charged twice. My dispute was denied by DSW and PayPal. My bank is filing a dispute for 2 ACH charges. Disappointed in the response and denial by both entities.
