I bought a pair od shoes on 03/23/20, and returned them by Fedex on 04/01/20, I'm still waiting for my refund. Called many times and they have an answering machine that doesnt work. The worst customer service ever!
I placed an order for boots that never showed up they said they would replace that order then told me it would be delayed and they refused to just cancel and refund so I am stuck with no boots or money back! And also shop around I found the same boots 40 00 cheaper somewhere else

If you don't have a DSW near you then you are missing out but this website is almost as good. DSW has some of the best deals on shoes around and an amazing return policy. I have worn shoes for a couple weeks and then realized they were not fitting right and still returned them. I think this is because they are such a huge company they can afford to have a generous return policy. Great deals, great shoes.
Please this store has put without prior notice that you have a limit of times to exchange or return an item I spent $ 102.00 for a gift to my husband, it did not fit him well, I went to the store with the receipt and they denied me the exchange. I have seen a store that gives you a receipt and 3 days later they deny you the change, and I have been a customer with reward for many years... I think this is not fair and no one is responsible for that...
I needed to make a simple change of address before my orders shipped. I waited 45 minutes for the first representative who (accidentally?) hung up on me. Then 1 hr and 5 minutes for the second rep to assist me... JUST to have the shoes shipped to my old address still! Omg, how can the service be so NON-EXISTENT? How do you run a company like that? What are there a million people calling support or you have literally just 5 people staffed to answer calls around the holiday season? Horrible shipping.
OH, and their email support format is broken. The page is a 404 not found. Like... really. You don't allow customers to email you? Jesus, and I haven't heard a peep back when I did find an alternate 3rd party DSW email.
I ordered three items (one was a free promotional item) and only received two because a glitch cancelled my item using DSW cash I earned. I contacted customer service through email and received a response an less than helpful response a few days later. I contacted customer service about 4 times and didn't get my issue resolved. I finally went to my local store where the manager called customer service. In short, the "best offer" they could give me was to charge me for the free item and not receive the item the glitch cancelled. I would never shop on DSW online ever again. Customer service was useless and didn't provide any help whatsoever. My local store has always been wonderful and I don't fault them for anything that happened. As far as DSW.com, don't ever shop there.
I will never buy DSW shoes online, no anymore after this horrible experience. I placed my order on November 5th, and pay extra 14,99 for 2 days shipping,(#*******792), after countless calls to different places and agencies, today after 10 days i got my boots, and thy never returned my money back. Scam service!
I ordered a pair of shoes to only have them arrive in a destroyed shoe box and then to receive shoes that have been worn and returned. This did not happen in the mail since the outside packing was fine. I tried call customer service only to be on hold over an hour and still not get anyone
I just left DSW. I found a pair of boots for $199. There are price match signs everywhere and even announcements in the store. I looked online and found them on Amazon for $80! The exact same pair! They refused to price match because they said Amazon is a "bidding" website! I walked out. My boots will be here in 2 days! No sales tax... No shipping.
Beware when ordering online. Received 2 different sizes on the same pair of boots. Customer service was abysmal. From non English speaking reps with accompanying barroom brawl noises in the background to 2 different agents promising me never received $25 in rewards for all my "inconveniences". Returned shoes to store, refused replacement order. Washed my hands of DSW. Ordered identical boots from another vendor.
I ordered two pair of shoes. A pair of new balance running shoes and a pair of pink Nike women's running shoes. The New Balance arrived in a battered box with no lid and they've clearly been worn. Then the Nike running shoes showed up but they were a pair of MEN's hiking boots. There only answer was to return the items. Nice inconvenience for two separate shipments. They are the WORST. Shop elsewhere.
They were great for us on several orders until we had to do a return. Still trying to get the refund, it's been over a month already. We were just promised that it is resolved and we can expect the refund this week. They acknowledged the error on their side, I'm confident it will be resolved. Other than this one experience, they were good on the other orders.

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes from DSW totaling $380. I never received them, they send me a different pair all together ($60 boots) when I called DSW told me there is nothing they can do because my order was too big. To call my credit card company. It seems like a scam.
Ordered a pair of shoes online and received dirty used shoes. They clearly had been used and worn with hair inside the shoe near inserts. This has happened to me twice now… Do better dsw, you used to be such a great store. Now I can't shop with you anymore.
I confess, I'm a shoe queen - and I love to shop at DSW.
First, there's a brick and mortar store near me so I can shop in the real world.
Second, not everything shows up in the store, and the online experience is very satisfying. I can filter by size and heel height and get right to what I'm looking for.
Ordering online is quick and easy and their rewards program offers free next-day shipping if you spend enough $$$ (which I do, to the detriment of my credit card's health)
And returns are a breeze - I can return web-order shoes to the store near me with no hassle - and they credit back to the credit card, none of that 'in-store credit' BS.
I am doing this DSW review because I strayed and bought shoes online at shoespie.com and was disappointed to say the least. DSW does it right and they are #1 in my book!
So I've order from dsw.com several times, very happy with the products and service except for the fact that last time I ordered from them my order was shipped to the wrong address (previous address) even when I changed it so many times, when I called customer service (they mention this is something the app does automatically because it was set as my primary address) they helped me updating my address even tho I could not get my shoes and a free promo, they reimbursed the money. Love their customer service but hate the app!
I received a pair of shoes (and I have ordered A LOT of shoes from DSW) on Friday and opened them up on Sunday to spray them with waterproofing. I found a security device on them, which I have never seen before. It appears to be the type that contains ink (maybe, but not sure?). I know that I tried, unsuccessfully, to cut the wire and received an ominous blinking red light. Sent an email to Customer Service on Sunday and no response, and it is now Wednesday. Calling CS right now and was told the wait would be 142 minutes... which I promptly thought was an error in the system, it was NOT. I've been on hold now for 51 minutes. Cannot wear the shoes, and afraid that cutting the security tag on them will ruin them... tempted to throw them away and order the shoes again vs. this circus they refer to as "Customer Service". Get your s*&t together DSW - I'm a frequent buyer and you are losing me as each minute ticks by.
Ive been trying to get ahold of customer service for over a week. Every time I call im On hold at least 30 minutes and I give up. Called in morning and in evening. Its all the same. Same with chat. Ive been waiting for chat for 25 min. They keep updating me how long. It was 16 min when I logged in. After 25 min my wait time is 18 min still. It actually went up! These guys are definately going out of business. No one has this crappy of customer service and survives.
I ordered a pair of shoes on a Friday, needing them for a business trip the following wed. I paid $15 to have them sent two day Shipping. I received an email notification that the order had shipped on Sunday. End of day Tuesday and still no shoes. I called and was on hold and back and forth between rep and her supervisor for 30 mins. Was told that although I was notified they shipped on Sunday DSW would not consider that it shipped until Tuesday? Makes no sense. I will not receive in time before I leave on my trip Wed and they refuse to refund my shipping. As a matter of principle that is wrong. I ordered. They confirmed(twice). They didn't deliver. And I pay?

Center is the only call center in the nation, with a lot more shoe lovers calling in at once than the call representatives that are available
