They are very slow and bureaucracy customer service, I ordered some thing from Japan, had some problem with customs. I have to email them, no body answers, I called them, they said they will call me back few business hours, never had call back. I have to spend so many hours to try to contact with them, then they have to transfer me to another department. After few days, I have to it process again. BUT, They are pretend be nice but do not do anything. When I actually ask them to hold me package and wait for the shipper to send the information to the customs, the customer lady become so inpatient and just being like "nice". After one month of this process, we order has been returning to Japan.
I have never managed to receive any parcel sent with DHL. They are either using wrong address, or they can't find address, or they are severely delayed... I wonder why any companies are using it. Next time I order something delivered with DHL I will cancel it beforehand. Today I had to commute to a different town to collect my parcel (I had to call myself many offices and find out where this was) and importantly this was received 2.5 weeks after the expected day... Just never use it.
DHL is the worst honestly so unprofessional they don't give a $#*! they don't care they move numbers and that's it. They will throw away your package and they will not call you. Terrible customer service. They will not send an email to you. They don't give a $#*! whatsoever. Literally the worst experience I ever had with mail it's always been DHL never never never again. Just use normal regular mail services they are so much better in literally any aspect.
I ordered a package with express shipping Dec 9, with expected delivery Dec13-16... in plenty of time for Christmas, as it was a gift for my brother who lives far away. Shipping was included in my purchase, yet I was told my package was on hold unless I paid an additional $25 in taxes and duties... DHL is the only company that seems to need extra fees to deliver. Fast forward to today, Dec 29 and I STILL haven't received the package, even though I reluctantly paid the additional fees... they basically robbed me of my money, and my gift, and the multiple times I have contacted customer service, they just tell me it's coming... why should anyone pay for express shipping ++ if this company can't actually deliver? Absolutely horrible experience, and sadly I will not purchase anything from anyone who uses DHL... EVER.
I got an email saying they tried to deliver my package but no one was home even though I have been sitting here, in my house, for the last 2 hours. I called customer service to try to get the driver to come back or to see if I could even find him to get my own package as I am leaving the country in an hour and need this package before I leave. They were either unable or unwilling to help and said they will deliver the package without a signature tomorrow. Why did they require a signature today then?!? I am so upset as I really need this package. I will never use DHL again if i don't have to. Unbelievable.
The parcel came from China to Spain in good time, once in Spain it was all downhill. I speak some spanish but the spanish customer service agent, and they do have english speaking agents, decided to make life hard work. Telling me in spanish they did not understand, mis spelling my name and mis writing my details. This caused the parcel to get stuck in customs here, and we then had to collect the parcel from the local shopping centre carpark, meeting the DHL van there, delivery was nearly a week late. The english speaking agent did not know the drivers name but just told us to look out for the DHL and the fat guy! Not the service I expect from DHL
2 out of 3 times I've used DHL my package has either gotten lost or been late. A perfect way to get scammed. I dont think I've ever seen a DHL truck actually on the road before, which explains quite a bit.
While using bedabox for shopping in Europe, one of the company to handle my packages to Africa in this company DHL. Even thou they have a policy on lithium, but there price is great and low in comparison with other company. It takes two weeks to get my packages or three but it great company, well organized and great.
They send the mail back to the seller, run away from the door, not waiting for a person to come out, deliver weeks too late. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but it happens 100% of time if I don't stay in front of the door, waiting for the delivery. If you can use a different one - do it!
It is truly astonishing that DHL still exists in a market in which they perform so poorly. They consistently deliver late, or in many cases, drivers will mark that they have attempted to deliver your package without ever coming near your house. To add insult to injury, I recently paid extra in order for a package to arrive sooner, only for it to arrive AFTER the date estimated for the cheaper shipping option. Because the driver marked that they attempted to deliver the package (they did not) I now have to go through extra work to get the package. Avoid shipping through DHL at all costs, they will let you down every. Single. Time.
If you want your shipment to arrive at the correct address in a reasonable amount of time and have meaningful, up-to-date tracking, do not use DHL. I have had so many issues that I will not purchase an item if I know it will be shipped via DHL. The attached is for an item I ordered a week ago. It was handed off to USPS which still says it was never received.
Tracking information never correct, driver says he attempted to deliver twice. I live on the 2nd floor takes me a minute or less to get to the front door and he was already gone. No contact information was left as do Fed Ex and UPS. Horrible experience.
I have not had a great experience with this company. Their customer service is incompetent and hard to work with, since they don't seem to speak english very well and generally don't seem to know what's going on. Because they have a very poor grasp of the english language, it makes it frustrating to communicate with them. My shipment is forever delayed it seems, since their staff can't seem to get it together. It's really frustrating and I'm beginning to lose a lot of patience because of it.
So here is my case, I purchased from Banggood.com who picked DHL as the shipping company.
By the time my package arrived my home city, they delivered my package to the wrong address (they don't know where) and it was signed by an unknown person.
Now DHL doesn't want to be responsible from their mistake and my package is now lost, they tried to locate the missing package but they don't remember where they delivered (of course not my house)
Because of this Banggood.com doesn't want to be responsible either because there is a proof of delivery from this unknown individual.
I'm empty handed, no package nor refund.
Paid upfront for shipping and handling. Once in route they are now charging me for handling fees. These are hidden fees and they won't give me my package until I pay their extra hidden fees of $20.
I am entering my package and customs is charging a tax which I'm okay with. But DHL is charging handling, a hidden cost, that they charge to every package over $100 usd. This is a fee they won't tell you about until you put money down. They they charge more. This is not okay.
I'm currently at county road 31 9th Avenue East of Fort Lupton and I get run off the road by a DHL pick up truck with a shell on it! This guy needs help! What's with DHL and dangerous drivers? This occurred at 3:41 pm on jan 1st. This guy gets right on my bumper, I was already going 5 over the limit but he came up on me fast! Dangerous!
Absolutely awful company. I placed an order unfortunately the company chose DHL and my package was returned. DHL said it was refused. The package was never delivered! I wanted to leave no stars but that was not an option.
Don't use DHL again. I paid almost $200 USD to mail a package of about $500 goods to Macau. After almost 2 weeks without any tracking notice, I was told later that my package couldn't be delivered and would have to be destroyed without sending it back to me. I was told by the Macau authorities that the Post Office usually returned the package back to the sender while this company just simply destroyed it without letting me to choose. Horrible experience. Never again will I use it to mail anything.
I'd give zero stars if I could. You people are the worst at delivering packages. Everything take 2 to 3 times longer than any other currier. Even when you pawn off the final leg of the delivery onto the USPS it takes forever for you to even deliver it to them. If it wasn't for other people shipping something to me using DHL I'd never let them touch a damn thing of mine. Absolutely Worthless!

If you use there contact number, you just get a fully automated response saying a time they will miss - so pointless
Emails or App complains take 3 days or longer - so no help there
So basically no wayto contact this company - avoid like the plague

Answer: Difficult. Automated system. Rip off phone charges. Cost so far to track our parcel, possibly missing has been around £25 in phone charges. Still trying. They wont phone you back and yet it is their error.
