The overall reputation of the company is significantly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to high subscription costs and poor service quality. Customers frequently express frustration with the app's navigation, excessive advertisements, and limited content availability, particularly regarding language options and image quality. Additionally, complaints about customer service highlight issues with billing practices and a lack of timely support. While some users appreciate select programming, the prevailing sentiment suggests that many feel the service does not deliver value for money, leading to a strong inclination to cancel subscriptions.

If I could give Crave zero stars I would. I foolishly signed up for the one year basic plan. I am about 5 months in. I have had nothing but issues. It does not work on our main smart TV or on our phones and has constant freezing and lagging issues. I tried to contact Crave months ago about this and never got a resolution. I tried again today. It is clear that we have not used it because it does not work and they should be able to see that. I was told that in their very fine print in their terms and conditions, it states that they will not give refunds after the service has started and apparently it also states in fine print that it does not work on certain TVs and devices without subscribing to the expensive $22 premium plan. Their only option was for me to pay an extra $22 to upgrade to the premium monthly plan and they would refund me $24 even though I would have paid well over $80 (after they told me it was against their terms to refund). I did not pay the extra $22 as I had trust issues and did not want to risk being out over $100 at this point. They saw this as me not wanting to resolve the issue. Conclusion: Crave is a scam. It does not work on most devices (unless you have the premium version), they do not issue refunds apparently and their customer service is horrendous.
I do believe that Crave is a worthwhile service, for a short period. Unfortunately that is it, a short period. It's disappointing, because they do stream many good TV shows and a couple decent movies. But their inability to differentiate the English movies from French movies is truly a deal breaker. I enjoy both English movies and French movies on occasion having grown up with both languages, but the fact "The Battle of the Five Armies" is the title i click and then the actors begin speaking french is frankly disappointing. If this was one example, that would be fine. But seemingly every decent movie streams exclusively in non-english. That would be fine if you advertised as such, but is wildly annoying since you title the movie in English. This is a terrible service that does not warrant anyone's money, which is unfortunate as they do stream some decent films/TV. Purchase almost anything but Crave, as this is by FAR the worst streaming service I have seen.
I understand that a cheaper subscription gets more ads but to even watch a movie has 7 ad break of 4 ads each! I can watch a movie on TV with the same amount. And they're not even placed in good spots. They interrupt the scenes mid dialog. Definitely not worth it.
Alors bye bye!
I used to enjoy Crave but now with all these ads which are also extremely repetitive. There's a lag that happens, ads play every 30 seconds, I lose sound and immediately after I lose the image which requires me to restart the entire app again… it's disgusting and it ruins the momentum of watching something enjoyable. At least fix those lags. Lastly if you're going to put ads make them versatile instead of repeating the same thing, it ruins the experience.
Used to like Crave but they now play only crap on there. Who wants to watch kids cartoons and old movies. I am going to cancel this on my cable package. Better off watching Prime or Netflix for less money.
Crave is garbage since Rodgers got involved and HBO can throw it in the garbage. Why pay to watch a free sitcom on a paid movie channel. There getting stupid and think it's are only choice. When I leave, I will never come back, f them, had there chance and want to screw me. Not happening. I have yo give a rating so it's a 1 star. I would give none if I could
Please, show me another Harry Potter movie. Rocky, anyone? How about LOTR? Oh Jesus, it's Friends. Where are the first-run movies I might expect from a premium service? Time to cancel, I think. What a waste of money.
Way to expensive and you can't even delete the shows after you have watched them even on your watch history was told you could but they lied
Bad customer service
I've been paying $22 a month for a few years now, primarily for HBO and Showtime shows like Dexter New Blood and House of the Dragon. The rest of it is complete drivel - I don't think I've watched anything for 4 months. The same stuff is endlessly repeated and recycled and it's either nauseating woke programming or year-round xmas-themed romcoms. Ugh. I cancelled my subscription today.
I hoped to access movies I can't find on other streaming services, but was severely disappointed. Bell Media is too cheap to get full rights to the movies on their site, so many are only in French. They don't even have English subtitles. For an extremely expensive subscription (unless you want to watch ads, in which case, just go to Tubi or Plex), the consumers are given the bare minimum. I'm only going to resubscribe when the new season of Last of Us releases. It's not good for much else
Good movies only available with premium subscription, but already paying $22 per month wtf? Spend your money somewhere else!
Crave is the worst app to navigate. It's a whole thing just to find where you left off on a series. Half the time I get a random message saying I can't watch what I want to watch for whatever reason. Sucks big time.
Is anyone else experiencing repeat performances of the Rocky movies on Crave through Bell? This is beyond ridiculous and if not Rocky the Lord of the Rings. Also HBO programming are documentaries I have watched several years ago and now Craves movies are making their way onto HBO. I do not have the app just service which gets charged onto my Bell bil. Opinions please
Good morning
I understand that I have the basic plan but the adds are insane.
I just chose a show, I had to watch 2 adds 10 seconds later, 4 adds, every 5 minutes 4 adds.
The adds vary from 10 to 40 seconds
This is too much
WORST EVER. GLITCHES!
ALSO - STARTS WITH 4 COMMERCIALS? THEN PLAYS 2 MIN AND ANOTHER 4 COMMERCIALS. BRUTAL! WE PAY 9.99 PER MONTH FOR THIS UTTER CRAP
They charged me for service i could not use. When I asked for refund, and after multiple back and forth they refused. Avoid at all costs
Companies are losing my business by advertising on crave. There are things i will never buy again because crave plays their ad over and over. It happens often that a cluster of 4 ads are all the same ad over and over again. Its insane.
Crave is the absolute worst of all the streaming platforms in Canada and I really hope it disappears sooner than later, especially seeing it holds legal access to all the great programming on HBO away from Canadian consumers.
My number one complaint is the image quality. Want 4k? Nope. Want clean image without compression artifacts? Nope. Want HDR+ or Dolby Vision? Dolby Atmos sound? Nope. Everything looks absolutely awful.
The app is garbage with a terrible interface and crashes regularly on Apple TV and on my Pixel Android phone.
Please don't give Bell Media your money, and certainly don't pay for crave. If you really must watch HBO shoes, find another way, legal or not.
I subscribed to Crave over a year ago. I had major surgery on June 7. They sent me a yearly renewal notice on June 14; I was not conscious of it. They charge my credit card against my will on June 24. A 10 day notice before tying you up for a full year. I chatted online, then called and offered to give me the courtesy to switch to a monthly subscription - they could keep a month, but I at least would get $200 back. Nope.
I missed the deadline by 18 hours.
They read me the terms and conditions and repeated that they did not give refunds and sent an email on the 14th. Like, I wish I had read it, you narcissistic, self-centered bastards.
They force you to have a credit card on file and then charge it against your will for 12 months. No one else does this. Have you ever experienced this with a confident, successful company like Apple, Netflix or any other streamer? Nope. You can get a refund within 24 hours of noticing the charge on your card. Crave forces you into a relationship you don't want and keeps your money after giving you less than 2 weeks' notice.
I wish you all the karma you deserve, bastards. F*** you.

Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.
Answer: Not unless you want to rip all your hair out. Crave has serious streaming problems and mostly you cannot watch it. And if you can the sound is all tinny and canny.
Answer: Absolutely agreed. 100%. Also, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never give your payment information to ANY Bell Media company, because they will screw you. Contact the BBB to make a complaint.
Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
