I canceled my subscription within the first two weeks because of the lack of content that could be found on other platforms. So imagine my surprise when it still renewed and charged my account, their "support team" was useless and just kept repeating that its up to the customer that the subscription is canceled before the renewal date and they don't do refunds, despite the fact I had canceled it two weeks prior. Don't waste your money. It ain't worth it.
We cancelled our Crave subscription the day the renewal was due. They charged us for the full year and now say that it's their policy to not to offer refunds. We are out $230. We then asked if our subscription could be activated again. No luck. So they basically stole $230 from us.
Crave buffers every few minutes repeatedly. I can't even get through a movie. I looked up online to see if this was a widespread issue only to see that Craves own site answers this issue by suggesting that all streaming apps have this problem and that the problem most likely is with a devices internet connection.
Well, I have Netflix and Disney+ on my iPad, and I don't have this problem with either. So no, crave, the issue is YOU, not my device or internet. The worse part, Crave costs more than Netflix and is twice as expensive as Disney+. If your stupid app will ever let me get through the Snyder Cut of Justice League, I'm 100% cancelling my subscription. Either way I'm canceling unless they grow some balls, admit they have the problem and work towards solving it.
I just paid for a subscription to Crave TV. There are all sorts of errors all over the pages, and I can't watch the videos that I click to play. So, I'm now paying money for absolutely nothing... So frustrating.
Three weeks since paying for Crave and it still doesn't work. Outsourced tech help is useless. Judging from the reviews, it is better to bail now rather than wait for paying for another month. This borders on scam!
How can a streaming app cost me $20 p/m (and somehow they recently started doubling their fee) and be this bad? Sometimes it won't play anything at all, other times it forgets where I am in a season and starts me at the beginning. I can't keep watching. So, so bad.
Crave is the worst. We can't even use the account. The absolute worst! They take your money and offer almost zero consideration for it. Will be cancelling and telling everyone not to use this joke of a service!
I struggle through using the terrible platform with all its glitches to watch the couple of good shows that Crave offers, and then I cancel. I do this about once a year, as the content is very limited, and using the interface drives me crazy.
I don't understand how I have NO issues with any other providers, but for some reason Crave is constantly signing me out, wont let me log back in, won't play some episodes of seasons, and is the most difficult one to use of them all, and yet the most expensive. If there is something that only Crave has I highly suggest you watch it and minimal use of Crave, then get rid of it.
Get it together Crave, you have some the highest paying contracts of shows to air and yet this is the quality you provide? Pathetic when cheaper services out perform.
Rarely puts on anything worth watching been crap since beginning of covid keep waiting for good movies week after week nothing waste of time and money only have it as bundle for hbo a couple of shows was way better when other movie channel was running before crave took over shameful how they rip us off dropping this crap frustrated
This is a terrible quality streaming service, it abruptly stops 3 - 4 times per episode with an error message. To quote someone on from reddit:
"I had this problem, spent way too long trying to figure it out- my solution was to turn off all adblocker type things, including chrome settings that prevent tracking. Crave wants you to pay premium prices AND consent to being monitored so they can sell your info. BS."
They didn't offer a free trial so we bought it for a year(I know, stupid) but it was cheaper that way than per month IF we were to enjoy the shows/movies they offer. We had it for 2 months and decided it isn't worth it so we called to cancel and get remaining refund back…. Well they don't give refunds. So we have a useless service for the next 10 months rather than them paying us back $100~ remaining ….
I love the shows on crave. Who ever does that great job.
Whoever designed the delivery system should be sent to the 9th circle of hell.
It is unbelievably terrible. Sometimes freezes and crashed every 3 mins.
But the shows are so good you put up with it.
How can such a huge company continue to have such horrendous service. Truly mystifying.
I'm looking for movies on my original subscription but can't see that you pay extra until I click on the movie and it says that you have to get the plus. I'm an original subscriber at $10/month. But I am also a customer, so why treat me like I'm second class to the "new" HBO +?
I have the tv app on my 45 inch samsung tv, the app itself works fine for me but it's incredibly laggy, the continue watching isn't good at all it just restarts the episode from the beginning and theres no fast forward or rewind. Also for some reason every time I open an episode of something it always has the play bar, show name and episode number menu up the entire episode, when it's supposed to go away after a few seconds. Absolutely horrible tv app that needs a complete rehaul in everything about it. The photo I added was still going and I don't know what button would make it go away.
Technology behind crave is pathetic. When you call and ask why they can't stream a one hour episode of anything without freezing, all they say is 'yeah". Did t work for a while on Windows 10 tablets because was optimized for Windows 7 or earlier. Just a useless piece of tech that somehow bell got suckered into packaging and is now the only way to watch show time or HBO.
I've been a Crave subscriber for 4 years now. Why am I such a loyal subscriber? Because they have a genius customer-retention strategy:
1) Every May, they charge my credit card an annual subscription fee.
2) I call them and ask them for a refund, and they say no.
3) I tell them to cancel my subscription and they say "fine, but it won't take affect until next year."
4) I say "that's what you said last year" and they say "I'm sorry, but we have no record of that."
5) After 20 minutes of arguing, I begrudgingly accept that I have to subscribe to a service that I don't want.
6) The following May, they repeat steps 1-5.
As angry as I am, I have to admit that it's really quite intelligent on their part.
I rated 1 since I cant go any lower. Using the website is a painful ordeal when it comes to streaming. I have fairly good internt speed in my house, so for a site that's only proving 720p, should be able to stream any show flawlessly, but this is not the case, every show is prone to brutal freezing or slow load times. Issues are too consistent, I will be cancelling my subscription asap. To say any more would be beating a dead horse, to who ever reads this, do not waste your time and money.
- Firstly, they charge you an insane amount of money (3x Netflix) and then they show you ADS?!? If you are going to show my adverts, why did you charge me money?
- Secondly, this site looks and feels like it was built by students at a coding bootcamp. There are bugs so critical that sometimes you literally can't watch shows, can't subscribe, etc. The user experience is horrible.
- Lastly, customer service is non existent. I once emailed them reporting a critical bug and they never responded...
Wow - it is seriously the worst software - on any device - amongst all of the streaming services. Have to believe that Bell has their design engineers locked away and not allowing them to see services like Netflix, Disney, Prime.
And the error you get about "too many devices". We are not talking "active" devices - they limit the possible number you can have "registered". I can see limiting to so many active - but if you have 3 apple tvs, 2 iPhones, 2 iPads - you are hooped - only 5. And you can't "fix" this on the device - you must log in through a web browser. So frustrating.
If HBO offered a direct service, would drop Crave in a heartbeat.
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.
Answer: Not unless you want to rip all your hair out. Crave has serious streaming problems and mostly you cannot watch it. And if you can the sound is all tinny and canny.
Answer: Absolutely agreed. 100%. Also, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never give your payment information to ANY Bell Media company, because they will screw you. Contact the BBB to make a complaint.
Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
