Someone somehow got access to my account and purchased like 15 songs from the same album of some crappy electronic music. Basically just drained my gift card balance because I have no payment set up (thank God!) First guy I called on the support insisted that I made the purchase because it was showing up in my library. Then put me on hold forever and disconnected me. Second girl I talked to put the songs under a claim review but all the claims were denied. Why is it so hard to get Apple to recognize that I DID NOT BUY THAT MUSIC?! I literally have NEVER made a purchase on that account, and have had it for 10 years. Last purchase was for a free app in 2017. History alone should prove that I'm telling the truth. Never been so frustrated with a service.
Duplicate songs on different albums refuse to download and disappear from downloads. Refuse to download or disappear after re-downloading. Deleted albums do not show up on iTunes and cannot re-download. Several attempts by Apple Music have not rectified problem. Costing time and money. Cheaper buy cds.
My biggest issue with iTunes is this - my bank card has been hacked twice. Both times were after making purchases on iTunes. I will not purchase anything else from iTunes unless they can keep my PII safe. It is a pain in the rear to have to replace my card, delete all of my payment information and file a claim with the bank. ITunes, you need to step up and protect your customers better. Luckily my bank is awesome and has refunded my stolen money both times. BEWARE GIVING iTUNES YOUR PAYMENT INFO. Check your bank accounts for small charges you don't recognize. With my situation, it was.99$ here, 3.99$ there - easy to miss amounts. You may find yourself paying for someone else's subscriptions and music purchases. When and if my iPod stops working, I will not be purchasing another Apple product.
I have an IPhone and and have loved apple products for the most part but after I tunes removing the #1 song And Justice for all I will never buy another apple product again. Truely disgusted by the elite traitors in this country
I had Spotify because I added I tunes and at first I liked it so I became a member. And I regret it every since. I listen to songs I like and try to add them to my playlist and they don't add! I tune needs to fix's this or I'm going back to Spotify…
I discovered a music video, I'd purchased, missing from my Itunes library. When I enquired, to Itunes, on the missing track I was told that the content creater had removed the missing track from the platform and that I wasn't entitled to a refund. I was absolutely treated poorly by the customer service agents, one didn't even get back, and denied an alternative such as a free track or a refund. They have removed a music track from my library and didn't even have the decency to inform me that said track had been removed! Not even an apology. Absolutely disgusting attitude from Apple Itunes!
Great selection, reliable and customer friendly. ITunes has the selection I'm looking for plus insightful samples of new music that would be in-line with my taste. The money in my account is well managed, there are no hidden fees or mysterious costs to worry about.
Pros:
-its legal
-secure
-cost is OK and no tricking you into things you didn't want to purchase
-great selection
-good customer service which is there to help you not rip you off.
Cons:
-Setup is hmmm almost awful. I can't stand it. Figured it out but hate it. Not at all the organization of other Apple products.
I have one Apple product - an old iPod. Personally I think it sucks.
I hate that circle to get selections. Have yet (after 10 years) to get the selection I want to play. I have big fingers but this thing is especially made to frustrate.
One of these days it's going to be a hockey puck.
As for iTunes, their selections of classical music are very, very poor. So what's the point?
This software has caused me no ends of trouble on my Windows 7 machines, just like iTunes used to crash my old XP machines years ago. Nothing much has changed. It is still a bloated, ugly, resource-hogging excuse to give Apple a direct line to your wallet. ITunes is the #1 reason why I still buy CDs.
Had this twenty years. Saw microsoft manages it now. Not sure. The pc and television one was a mess! Was not worth using for me! I had to delete my account and use youtube
There is nothing I like about iTunes! I absolutely hate any kind of Apple product, company subsidiary, or anything to do with Apple period! It is a ripoff! Why pay for apps that you can get for free on Android!
I used to buy all my music from iTunes. However, I joined Spotify and stopped because it was no longer of value to me. However, iTunes automatically enrolled and billed me for their streaming service and it was more than a bit frustrating to get that straightened out and get my money back. I'm done with them.
Mac and Apple both lack in so many things people seem to just overlook, iTunes is just the same. It's never worth the prices or so called '' freebies'' when they're just ripping everyone off. Suppose some people will be always content with it and apple users have to be content.
A scrambled impossible rubble of misdirecting and unfathomable icons tat lead nowhere and everywhere without giving you a hint of where to get what you want. I think this is going to go down as Apple's biggest fail ever
The sole reason I bought an iPhone many generations ago was becasue of itunes functionality, now the only reason I'd consider an alternative would be because I've transitioned off itunes, I haven't made the break yet but I'm close. Everytime I sign in to itunes my library reverts to an old destination, I follow the apple "fix" but it doesn't stick, I've spent hours rebuilding this evening but know it will be temprorary, It would be faster if the "find other files" ever actually found anything else even in the same sub-folder - I don't know why they even offer the function - it never works, Two examples of a once good product now clearly managed by the D team. Sad really that apple clearly no longer care.
What else would you call it? I write classical music and do a number of other audio related work. ITunes is constantly popping up as a built-in facet of a Mac. They got rid of iMovie and made it impossible to get, also making it cost money. Yet they keep iTunes around like the spammy Nigerian scam repeatedly stuffing your computer with noise and getting in the way of real work. If I could I would delete iTunes- still working on how to do that.
Signed up to iTunes when I got my IPhone, bought music and other things.
Got e-mail the other day th as the I have to respond within 24hrs otherwise your account will be deleted. I don't check my emails everyday. Lost everything. Can't be retrieved.
When I redeem movies on VUDU the process is easy and flawless. The movies are immediately available and stream without issue. Apple and Itunes are impossible. The movies are seen and then disappear. They work and then do not work. Customer service is a joke. I have stopped buying movies.
I was Itunes biggest fan. Then the price increased. Then came "The Cloud"... I lost all my music that I copied from CDs I purchased when I let my cloud subscription expire. When I renewed it, they couldn't locate my music... All those years of music gone. I don't have the CDs anymore to download them. There are great alternatives: Spotify. Pandora. And others where you pay a minimum monthly fee and you have access to all the music you want. The catch is - watch your data on your cell phone when streaming music!
Answer: If you only have PC/Android devices, they will take your money and not honor any specials/deals!
Answer: Forget iTunes. Google free mp3 and tons of sites come up. Be careful though, lots of phishing with those. Do NOT download software. It's not necessary and if the site says you need it, get out. Another easy way is google convert youtube to mp3, find your song on youtube, most are there, and use any number of sites to convert the audio to mp3 versions. Downloading BTW is legal. UPLoading copyright protected stuff is not. But many of these sites are not in the USA and our laws don't apply.
iTunes has a rating of 2.9 stars from 257 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with iTunes most frequently mention and apple product. iTunes ranks 2nd among Downloads sites.
