The overall reputation of the company is significantly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to high subscription costs and poor service quality. Customers frequently express frustration with the app's navigation, excessive advertisements, and limited content availability, particularly regarding language options and image quality. Additionally, complaints about customer service highlight issues with billing practices and a lack of timely support. While some users appreciate select programming, the prevailing sentiment suggests that many feel the service does not deliver value for money, leading to a strong inclination to cancel subscriptions.

I've had Crave for the last year, but this month I paid and, apparently, have paid to watch more ads than TV.
I had over 10 minutes of ads in a 20 minute show-- it's insane.
Why they charge me to watch more ads than content, I don't know, but I'll be switching to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, or one of the other dozen streaming services that doesn't show you 4 minutes of ads at the 5,10, & 15 minute marks in one half hour block...
I genuinely feel scammed.
If there is a -1 star review I would give it. WAY too many commercials, and lags out like 10,000 times while you're watching a tv show. And it's clear that it's a scam in order for you to pay more on "prime crave tv" subscription, which is a subscription on top of the subscription that apparently doesn't give you commercials. Like what a joke sorry people don't want to pay for $#*!, And it's almost the same tv selection as Netflix which is GARBAGE so why would anyone pay for this? I'll tell you what Canadians want, actual good tv shows and movies, and movies and tv shows that doesn't push that "new agenda" bull$#*! which nobody wants to follow.
We subscribed to the Crave without using the free trial. Unfortunately we became quite disappointed with how slow it is. The resolution quality of the series are low. The subtitles do not match the dialogues and the caption turns of randomly through out watching several times. We used the online chat and raised the issue and asked for refund after 24 hours of subscription. They were not helpful at all and they did not refund.
I would never suggest the Crave to anyone.
I've had problem with Crave StarZ for along time and after alot of time spending calling and chatting, still nothing! And they only refund $5 for StarZ option event hough I told them I only watch Starz shows!
Also I should mention that 4 ads coming every 5minues! Unbelievable! You pay alot and you get technical problem, video play errors and a alot of ads! It's frustrating!
The only reason I kept it is becuase my favorite series is available only in Crave.
I have 4 streaming sites - Prime, Netflix, Disney, and Crave. One of them has the least content, one of them has frequent login and buffering issues and very slow to connect, one of them has the poorest menu setup, and one has the most disappointing new material - and they're all Crave! A truly pathetic attempt at a streaming site and over priced for what you get. I use all 4 streaming sites on XBox and Firestick. Crave is the only one that stumbles on either device and it does so frequently. I'll be cancelling within the week as my daughter is almost through her show.
Had not used crave in months but saw an annual charge on my visa... called right away and offered to pay for 1 month due to my not knowing I was on annual renewal (just never used it!). They refused my fair and reasonable solution to the misunderstanding. They had my $300 plus and were so greedy to keep it, did not care at all about my finances. It was too bad so sad buttercup you did not read the fine print. Terrible experience terrible company. This review wants proof of purchase but unfortunately this was a couple years ago and I was so upset that I deleted all my emails. I don't think I know where to dig out my visa statement to find proof but I would hate to think that this review won't get the chance to warn others because of that.
I have an addiction to seeing the point of view of detective rustin cohle smash his way through the disregarded south... I wanted to watch it in full except that crave...even after subscribing...wont let me. I get the same screen every time prompting me to subscribe even though I just have. Wow...pathetic...good shows...bad service... severely disappointed in the ability of the service to ACTUALLY FUNCTION and let me watch my show after I have subscribed. Cheers
I bought the download subscription and there are literally zero downloadable titles. I contacted Crave several weeks ago about this and they have not replied. Very limited movies & shows, most of them are old and unpopular and badly rated movies. Do not recommend. For Dragrace in Canada; incomplete (no untucked so half of the show doesn't make sense, most of the franchise shows are missing). It's cheaper to get Wow and/or OutTv.
I've tried Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Apple TV and Crave so far and I believe the worst one so far is Crave.
I started with the basic plan and their TV app was almost useless with the basic plan. It kept buffering and I had to click on back and play the show again (needless to say that I had to watch like 5 minutes of ads whenever this happened which was like every 10 minutes).
Apart from it, I decided to improve my membership to Standard and even after 3 days have passed from the day that I was charged, the highest available resolution to me was still 720. So, I contacted their support and after not being able to troubleshoot my problem, I asked to cancel my plan and get a refund and they said that it's not possible to give a refund.
Very disappointing.
I gave them a one because negative 10 was not available. Had Crave for four days. Then in the middle of a movie it disconnected. Tried reconnecting but it refused my SAVED password. Tried changing it but all that would show up was the "account managment" page. Which i could edit my info but could not sign in which made me question their security. Contacted customer service. A very unsure man walked me through a couple of steps and it looked like I was in so hung up. Turned out it still wanted my password and nothing worked. Tried it on several devices and always the same. Called in again. Walked through same steps. Didn't work. That was when they said it had to be escalated and someone would call me in 24 to 48 hours. So basically I was expected to be home when they got around to calling me. I was told if not...that's OK...wait another 24 to 48 hours. I hung up. Called my IT son who tried and said the problem was at their end. Thought about it. Called back and canceled the subscription. They tried to walk me through the same steps again but i told them if they havent got anything better to offer dont bother. Didnt work 12 times do not going to work now. If they value their customers that little then I have no time for them. They have no clue what customer service is and from my experience really don't care.
1. They have an app for PlayStation, but the app doesn't support streaming (what the hell is the point in having it?)
2. Technical issues constantly. Episodes timing out, losing my spot in a series or movie, insanely slow response time when scrolling through the menu.
3. After subscribing I received like 10 emails confirm my "order" and each one was a different order number for the same amount. Incessant emails with no option to unsubscribe. Customer service was zero help in resolving this. They only stopped when I cancelled.
4. Selection is wanting. Really the only decent stuff was Friends and Parks and Rec. Not worth it at all.
5. Finally, price. $15 for poor service, commercials, and no offline downloads.
Avoid. Garbage service.
This service is a joke. I really cannot understand how this is still running. I am constantly signed out, asked for a password that I recently assigned and asked to change. I am barely hanging on. At least I can share, but if that ends I am canceling.
Title sums it up. Either the playback is terrible with sound cutting out every few seconds or you can't log in at all. Technical support is basically unreachable.
I had a Crave account and cancelled it. Had a monthly subscription and had not been billed since October. Then suddenly in July, a $209 charge on my credit card bill. From Crave. I called and said, "look at the account. It has not been billed or used. Clearly cancelled. What happened here?"
"Your account wasn't cancelled."
"It clearly was, I hadn't been billed since October. It's July. It wasn't an annual subscription."
"You switched to annual in July."
"No, you switched me to annual and reactivated my account for some reason. Check the account, it hasn't been used or billed since last fall. How is this possible?"
They kept talking in circles and said well they don't issue refunds! But in this case, they will switch me to a monthly and refund the $200. I got charged another $20, and have yet to receive the $200. They told me I have to cancel myself in a months time now.
It's insane. This company has all kinds of tech issues and charge far too much for their service. Crave is too problematic a platform to charge this kind of money. You've got issues upon issues and now are engaging in fraudulent and scummy tactics to force subscribers. Sort it out, Crave. Wow.
I have all, if not most, of the streaming services out there and Crave is by far the worst one. It is SO SLOW, constantly buffering and kicking me out of my episodes with error messages. It is beyond annoying. When you attempt to look for solutions to these problems, you are met with "it must be your internet service because Crave is updated all the time". When you look at these reviews and see how piss poor they are, how can they justify that response? No way the majority of your customers have 'poor connections". Instead of pointing blame, fix your issues, especially if you ever want to stand a chance of competing with services like Netflix.
Complete waste of money and not worth the stress and frustration
Bell gave a free subscription when I signed up with them.
I've been having streaming issues from day one. After contacting tech support on numerous occasions they haven't been able to sort my problem.
CRAPPY STREAMING SERVICE WITH AN INCOMPETENT TECH SUPPORT TEAM.
It's impossible to watch any show on Crave because it keeps buffering quite often. I called Crave customer service many times but they keep saying that someone will call back in 48hours. I also have Netflix and Prime tv and never had any problem with them. Im cancelling Crave :(
Total trash UX. So unreliable it's like being in my computer lab at Zion Jr High in the 1980s. Programming good, everything else like an overflowing toilet from hell. RIPOFF.
Just wanted to note my sincere appreciation to the customer service department for their help. The person who assisted me was very kind and professional (issue was also resolved). I'm new with the app so I can't comment too much on that….yet.
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.
Answer: Not unless you want to rip all your hair out. Crave has serious streaming problems and mostly you cannot watch it. And if you can the sound is all tinny and canny.
Answer: Absolutely agreed. 100%. Also, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never give your payment information to ANY Bell Media company, because they will screw you. Contact the BBB to make a complaint.
Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
