The overall reputation of the company is significantly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to high subscription costs and poor service quality. Customers frequently express frustration with the app's navigation, excessive advertisements, and limited content availability, particularly regarding language options and image quality. Additionally, complaints about customer service highlight issues with billing practices and a lack of timely support. While some users appreciate select programming, the prevailing sentiment suggests that many feel the service does not deliver value for money, leading to a strong inclination to cancel subscriptions.

This was a waste of money. The selection of movies/tv wasn't the best, I found it hard to find a good show. I had a technical issue that I asked to be fixed but I never got it resolved. They took $30 for their HBO and other add-ons. It hadn't worked the month prior so I asked them for a refund because it didn't work. I was told that it had been escalated to their billing department and I would hear back in 3-5 business days, I didn't hear back after 1 week and a half, so I called them and I was told the same thing. I called again after that and was basically told not to call back until they called me. It's been over a month since I called and no money and no service.
I've been a Crave subscriber for 4 years now. Why am I such a loyal subscriber? Because they have a genius customer-retention strategy:
1) Every May, they charge my credit card an annual subscription fee.
2) I call them and ask them for a refund, and they say no.
3) I tell them to cancel my subscription and they say "fine, but it won't take affect until next year."
4) I say "that's what you said last year" and they say "I'm sorry, but we have no record of that."
5) After 20 minutes of arguing, I begrudgingly accept that I have to subscribe to a service that I don't want.
6) The following May, they repeat steps 1-5.
As angry as I am, I have to admit that it's really quite intelligent on their part.
Disappointed to learn after I subscribed that all of the advertised Crave shows needed further subscriptions. Once i cancelled i was charged twice for the next month. Called in to get a refund, they needed the confirmation email once I gave them that they put me on hold for a ridiculously long amount of time. This is unacceptable for a mistake on their end. I would not recommend Crave to anyone.
Always have glitches, cant find any movies I actually want to watch, way to expensive, Netflix is two times better and costs half as much
I got charged even though I cancelled my subscription and there was no way to remove cards. The whole user interface is poorly designed and could use work.
I NEEDED CRAVE TO ACCESS MY FAVORITE SHOW ON HBO. ON THE CRAVE.CA SITE MY SHOW IS LISTED. SO I BOUGHT THE CRAVE APP. IT REALLY IRKS ME THAT MY SHOW; THE ONLY ONE I BOUGHT CRAVE FOR, DISAPPEARED AND IS NOT ACCESSIBLE. GRRRRRR
When I went to one series - the Last Ship - I was forced to take the first episode of the 5th season. Cannot get into season one. Tried all the fixes I could find online. None worked. Why does CraveTV make this so difficult? Are they really so poorly financed or run that they cannot afford a simple, logical Interface like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, even Tubi. What a frustrating waste of time. They deserve nobody's business.
They charge your account even when you have cancel the service and have no idea you were charge for over 6 months. Credit card company notify me of the monthly charge bc I called regarding deferred payment on credit card. They brought to my attention that I have been charged for crave tv. Service I have no idea I called crave support and they located an account that I never used and was charge for services I never got. I thought crave tv was Canadian company it's not beware it's a foreign outsourcing business they are all located in the philipines, the few rep I spoke with have poor customer service and are very rude and ruthless. It's all scam. I have never got any bad service from Netflix Canada. Lesson learn always never used CRave again. No confirmation of cancellation and never call customer service to cancel because they lied and scam you. During they COVID 19 they are finding ways to steal from the poor. Heartless company. Stay with company that are reputable and you can communicate with like rogers, bell, Netflix and even Amazon..
An okay selection, though you do have to make a monthly group purchase for almost all shows. Also the rewind and fast forward feature only shows the timestamp it will drop you in not the snapshot of the image or anything. Also it does not have a consistent continue watching feature the developers seems to spend their time push people towards those group purchases instead. All in all 4/10
AYFKM? Movies from 1998, 1999, 2006... If you want the good stuff, you have to pay more? Don't give them your money, find another source!
The people who run this are a bunch of scammers and thieves. They look my money and refuse to refund me. I signed up for the 30 days free trial and cancelled my subscription on the 30th day. They said because I didn't cancel a day earlier that they charged me for the following month. How does that make sense. They stole my money and refused to give me a refund. Customer service is unprofessional and incompetent. I didn't even use their services and will never recommend them to anyone. Disgusted.
Used the free monthly trial, tried to pay a monthly subscription for COVID quarantine but because subscription was pending review, it went over the trial date and they automatically charged me for a year. The customer service is absolutely terrible as they were not willing to switch my annual membership to a monthly membership because of their mistake.
Also, there is NOT enough content to watch for a year. If you're looking to subscribe to a streaming provider, Netflix is the way to go.
Content is not worth the money. The selection of movies is not that great. Have to get add ons to watch some movies, such as an extra Starz subscription.
Use to enjoy Crave/HBO etc as there were many series I wanted to see. Now series are not renewed, New series are crap, and decent movies even old movies going back 30 years you have to pay for. In all there is nothing to watch on Crave. Netfix you can at least go into the past and no extra charges. Cancellined my crave, will look for other options, Disney, Apple Etc.
My service was cut off in January, but they say subscription is pending review and to wait for it to process before making changes. I called them 3-4 times and they say it is a glitch in the system and to wait 24 hours for it to resolve. That was 5 days ago. Nothing has resolved. Now I want to just cancel it and they won't even do that. Terrible!
I got a gift card; a pre-paid subscription to CRAVE TV. The website would not accept the code. When I spoke with Customer service, Nico, the troubleshooter assigned to the case, was not just useless but incredibly flippant and rude. In terms of his knowledge, despite having the email FROM CRAVE forwarded to him, he kept stating, "I have no way to confirm where this is from". The answer, Nico, is in the email's subject heading, email address, footnote, and logo: Crave TV. Then he told me it would take 5 business days to get back to me! This isn't a joke. I have the gift card #, the pin, and the confirmation email. He told me he didn't care that I had concerns and hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. My mom has the Corona virus and I wanted to get her something to watch while she's in isolation. These people couldn't care less. Once they have your money, you are dirt. Do not use these people!
Cancelled subscription (yearly) found out a year later they didn't cancel it and charged me for another year. Immediately contacted and was informed no refunds even though I have no usage for the entire previous year. Will cancel everything to do with Bell now just to do my part and maybe they'll go out of business. Wasn't even a good program you'd be better off watching cbc on air and quite a rip off. Solid pass on this on all counts.
Been on hold with them for over 2 hours to cancel a subscription that I haven't been able to access for months (keeps saying I'm not a subscribed member) that they've still been charging me for. Pretty sure the entire company is a scam.
Tried to watch Billions. I am new to Crave. The seasons and episodes are jumbled up, some missing all together, predictive text is not available, pause the program and after a bit you get kicked out!
Doesn't load properly and constantly buffering. Half the page is black because if doesn't load everything correctly. This is the absolute worst and biggest waist of time and money.
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.
Answer: Not unless you want to rip all your hair out. Crave has serious streaming problems and mostly you cannot watch it. And if you can the sound is all tinny and canny.
Answer: Absolutely agreed. 100%. Also, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never give your payment information to ANY Bell Media company, because they will screw you. Contact the BBB to make a complaint.
Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
