Roku

Purchased product. 1 yr later, I had to accept new terms of service (that are totally favorable to ROKU and give up several constitutional rights) or product (65" TCL ROKU TV) is a brick and can't be used for anything. All features disabled. Sick of arrogant companies like this. I'm going to let my future purchases reflect my displeasure.

The Roku TV is my best purchase of 2021. It's an all-in-one solution for your streaming and media needs. The only thing that prevents me giving the ROKU folks 5 stars is that currently there are not a lot of channels available to purchase in Canada.

Have a problem with Roku device, it keeps going back to selection screen after a few minutes of watching a program. Chatted with them online but they want to charge you a fee to help you. Not exactly customer service I expected. Will not buy or recommend to anyone!

Doesn't recognise my login details. Keep resetting, still can't sign in. Tried complaining. Website freezes, keeps saying sign in! But can't.
Seems like a good deal, but useless when you have a problem. Will have to to cancel my subscription. Anyone else thinking of joining, my advise don't.

I like to watch the Roku channels, but because I don't know that the channel logos are for certain channels, I am not able to find the channel I am looking for, which by the way was advertised by the channel number on the ad on the Roku channel. When I called and spoke to a technician, that I could barely understand, I was told there was never a channel listing by number. That is a lie, because that's the way that I looked, and the Roku website shows the channel guide by number and logo. This has been very frustrating that no one seems to understand.

Roku remote buttons stopped working in 6 months. So cheap. Purchased new remote which will not sync.

Everytime I'm watching a show it kicks me off and goes back to live tv prompt. I'm sick of it! And it doesn't matter which program I'm watching

This was my Christmas present 2years ago and a few days ago the bottom part of my TV has turned white. I'd never buy another Roku.

The quality of the TV is not the issue. It's the channel selection of Roku live TV is always repeats the same shows over and over again and the black channel called shades of black is always playing leprechaun in the hood. It's mind-boggling to me because there's so many other movies they could be playing, but they just play that one.

I pay for VUDU,HULU,Peacock, Paramount+, Disney+,and it has ROKU,Tubi,Pluto,and still can't watch too many major sports! No NFL Monday Night football( or the majority of NFL) games,playoffs,Superbowl,very little MLB baseball,no playoffs or World Series games,no NASCAR,just to mention some! You have a ton of soccer matches,rugby,and WWE... how about starting to show the kind of sports the majority of the U.S. actually watches!"

You will not be able to talk to any person, and they do not respond to emails. They put no value on their customers!

I paid $200 for a lifetime membership when I bought the new television, was alot of money to me at the time; I was promised, a lifetime account, It's the fact I was told it was for lifetime, and now they want money, save your time and money and use another service!

Never again would I buy or recommend buying a Roku TV. As far as picture quality etc it is fine. After 7 months the volume intermittently goes out and crackles. This is not the reason I dislike it so much. It's the incessant Roku commercials that I detest. Every 6 minutes they show the same annoying commercials. This is in addition to the network commercials. I understand advertisements are a part of tv viewing but constant Roku ads are just not necessary. There isn't a station they don't interfere with, including music streaming.

When watching a movie the movie may or may not load but commercials alaways play

I ordered the Roku RC909 "Simple Remote" where the online ad said "The Roku Simple Remote RC909 is a remote control that uses two AAA batteries. It has buttons for TV power and volume, as well as shortcut buttons for popular streaming channels." This remote has NO VOLUME CONTROL, which is incredibly stupid. It took at least 7 calls to get this resolved. Roku promised a free return label but after one week sent an email without the label. More calls and a promise to send me the label within 24 hours. We'll see, I'm still waiting. A ridiculous amount of effort for a simple return; never again will I order from Roku directly; Amazon return is so easy.

Bought a 4k streaming stick from Roku.com. Shipment took 10 days. Once delivered, unit would not work. Then the return/replacement was a hassle and I had to pay for shipping unit back to Roku in San Jose, California from Florida. Stupid

My checking account was charged $148.39 for something to do with Disney. I have filed complaints on Roku's chat format but have not gotten through to anyone. This has caused my account to be overdrawn. I'm ready to pull the plug on Roku!

I purchased a quite expensive voice pro remote that arrived broken. It took over an hour trying to find a phone number to talk to an actual person to help me return the remote. The hoax corporate number sends consumers on a wild goose chase. I finally got a number for tech support to get help with the issue. I talked to 4 different agents who all pretended to send a return label for the broken remote but they never did. I know they had the correct email address because they quickly sent customer satisfaction surveys and that they received my request for support. But no return label showed up in my Inbox or Spam folder for the remote as promised. One agent told me it would take 3-5 business days to get a return label via email. I waited 2 weeks and still nothing. So I called again and gave the next agent another email address since the agent swore they emailed the label to the first email address while we were on the phone. Nothing came through to either email address. Roku's customer service is an absolute scam. All consumers beware!

I was fraud it out of $119 extra my payment plan was 9.99 this lady got mad and charged my card 119.00 she stated her name was joy charged my card a extra 119.00 I got the fraud alert from my bank while I was talking to her on the phone and she wouldn't give me a supervisor I am mad going report this to bbb also

I speak English and I live in America and I only watch English speaking movies. So why do ANY streaming services in America where English is the dominant language mix in movies NOT in English? And why does Roku put foreign language commercials in English speaking movies where ENGLISH is OBVIOUSLY spoken and other languages may NOT be?

I love the Roku stick which just plugs into my flatcreen. It has it own channel and let's you add a good amt.of other apps. It will store your choices and is fast and efficient.
