I returned shoes (promptly, unworn, tried on one time) which Columbia received on 1/11/2023. Today is February 8th and still no refund. I've called "customer service" multiple times. I was told refund in 7 days, then 7-10 days, then by the end of the week (was told that twice) and still no refund. They give no explanation, I just get the old "sorry for the inconvenience" line which actually helps nothing and makes me angry. In this day and age refunding to a credit card should take a few days at most.
Ordered a coat with promises delivery by Christmas. A label was created but never shipped. They tried to blame it on UPS but that is a lie. Will not refund or resend. Will not allow me to talk to a manger.
For more than a week my order hasn't been even shipped despite the commitment to deliver it withing time frames the website suggested. We all experience the holidays season not for the first time ever so the company could do better with it.
The return of the merchandise is not free ( okay, not competitive though) but then they send it in multiply shipments so you have to return ( if needed) in multiply returns being CHARGED multiply times as well :) Thank you! No more online shopping there. And NO CHAT to talk to anyone for weeks. BAD

The suggested I buy again - yes - pay again!
And then, I look for them to get the refund.
Terrible customer service. They CHANGED THE PRICE of the item mid-transaction, and actually got PayPal to send them more $ without my consent. I'm taking this up with PayPal too but for now I'm returning it and get to pay $7.00 to return it. Will never buy from them again.
I bid on a winter jacket at a charity auction for my wife. The jacket was brand new and donated by Columbia for the auction (it was next year's model and was not on sale to the public yet). The jacket was gorgeous but the zipper was defective. I returned it to Columbia under their "lifetime warranty to get the defective zipper replaced. They just returned the zipper to me with a letter stating that it is not covered since I purchased the jacket as a "factory second" and it came with no warranty. Why would Columbia be creating inferior products and donating them to charity auctions. I paid twice what I saw it for in a Columbia store two years later. We will avoid Columbia products at all costs in the future since I feel they are dishonest and do not warranty they products as they say they will.
I had a Columbia windbreaker, perhaps 8 years old, that was in excellent condition, except that the zipper broke. I returned it to Columbia for repair and they sent me a generous credit that allowed me to order a beautiful replacement that I am thoroughly enjoying. Thank you Columbia!
Order was place and the wrong color was ordered. It was noticed immediately after order was placed. Called customer service and waited on hold for 30 minutes. Was told that they couldn't change or cancel the order. They said I would have to wait to get the order then pay to return it and wait 7-10 days after they received it for a refund. I have never dealt with a company that couldn't make changes before the order was shipped. Would not recommend to anyone to shop with them.
I would not recommend purchasing anything from columbia. After my first purchase which was a fleece jacket for my brother for his birthday I ordered the jacket on October 2nd. It said the delivery would be between October 8th and October 10th. Every day for the last several days I've waited till 9:00 at night with the lights on outside for the delivery driver. Needless to say no one shows up. The delivery updates stopped on October 6th and yesterday October 11th I finally got an update saying it was in New Jersey. I live in Connecticut and it says today is going to be my delivery day which I find it hard to believe. If you don't mind waiting weeks for your product go ahead and order. But I will never order from this company again.
I recently purchased 3 sets of kids shoes. All nice shoes (waterproof/pull starps) AND ALL OF THEM HAVE BROKE WITHIN ONE MONTH! Really bad, bad, bad quality. I discourage anyone thinking of buying cheap Columbia shoe wear to buy anything else. ANYTHING ELSE.
I bought my Columbia jacket about 6 months ago for just under $150.00, then weather getting worse I went to a heavier coat. About 2 months ago I took the Columbia jacket out and saw that the front zipper was missing teeth so I could not zip it up. I took it to a seamstress and after about 3 weeks she said you can't repait that kind, you have to send it in to get repaired due to warranty. I have been battling with anyone at Columbia to get it repaired and nobody is gettig back to me. Next time it won't be any Columbia and they should really let you know that you have to ship it back for repairs. They also said I need the receipt, who keeps a receipt after 6 months? They sure do not back their product.
I have shopped Columbia Sportswear for many years and have enjoyed the products; the piece of fur on the hood of my winter coat was damaged. Contacted Customer Care to see if I could buy a replacement piece. I was told it was not possible. I was very shocked they couldn't/wouldn't try to help me get a new piece. More than happy to pay for it.
Placed an order. The automated system changed the shipping address on my order. Called to get it corrected before it ships... 362 calls ahaed of me! Put my number in for auto call back. NO CALL BACK! Tried chat... don't waste your time there either. It asked if I wanted a live person, I clicked, "yes" it told me to call customer service, THEY ARE TOO BUSY! I've now been on the phone for 2 1/2 hours. I have 164 customers ahead of me. I hope my call is answered before they close! GEEZZZZ! SHOP ELSEWHERE!
Slow shipping which you pay for. Then you pay for return shipping. Then you pay for shipping on the return. I spent 18 dollars for a 40 dollar blouse which I'm still waiting for. I wouldn't have needed to return it if I didn't follow their erroneous size guide when i ordered. I would ignore their size guide if I order again which I likely won't do considering the delays and costs of shipping.
I purchase a coat and it was suppose to be here on Feb 1st. Tracking info is provided up to Feb 1st and nothing after that date. It states it was delivered to DHL n transferring to carrier service. I called on Saturday, already 5 days after it was suppose to be here & got a rep who was like well the info says it's delivered try checking back Monday to see if it's updated. So Monday nothing changes. So this morning, Tuesday I called and got a rep and all they can offer is to open an investigation and wait another 2 wks! I was like I cannot afford to purchase another coat and js wait for one to show up so I can return and pay more shipping to get my refund. They offered no help other than "opening an investigation" and to wait. At this rate by the time the coat gets here I'll get to turn around and return it bcuz it'll be spring and it won't fit my kid next year! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will never purchase from again!
I`m an owner of 2 winter coats and a pair of boots by Columbia. These are just exquisite. Any temperature, wind, snow or rain - you feel comfortable and dry. I recommend!
For God Sake! DO NOT Place an Order online and possibly need to edit ANYTHING because Columbia Sportswear will NOT allow! They prefer to go ahead and send it to the wrong address so their customer loses the money they spent and the gift they purchased goes to someone else. LOUSY Company that cares NOTHING about it's customers! I will never spend a dime on anything from this company again and will tell everyone I know! All I needed to do was edit the address of where I was sending my items and they just said they can't do that. No reason whatsoever.
What an absolute terrible way to conduct business. Your customer service representatives were fairly nice but the company's policies or garbage. I paid for overnight shipping and my order was lost. Your customer service lied to be about how they were going about my product lost and for five minutes refused to repay my money for overnight freight. After I finally received my products, your company sent the wrong product to me. I checked my order and apparently, as things happen, there was a mistake getting the correct product that I ordered. I contacted customer service to inform them what happened and instead of being assisted, I was told I personally have to go online, re-order my product, and pay for it again. That has to be some joke. You guys mess up my order, and you want me to redo everything, have double the money tied up in your bull$#*! no exchange program. Take a look at yourself. Do you really thing that's fair. Would you do that with an order you placed at another company? When the company messed up. That's terrible terrible customer service. I will never ever buy anything Columbia product again. I am making sure I tell everyone possible how your customer service was the least helpful possible and how bull$#*! your policies are. Your own customer service staff agreed it was stupid. I cannot believe a company today still exists with how terrible this experience is. I will be leaving this review everywhere I possibly can to make sure people who buy from you know they are basically rolling the dice and hope they get the right product. If not, they just have to pay and order again. WHAT A JOKE!
I have 3 pair of lightly used columbia hiking boots and all three have the soles delaminating from the uppers, they say out of warr take them to a shoe repair. JUNK
I bought in Columbia through their website, and their system took my old address for shipping. So, I called customer service immediately and nobody provided a solution. They said Columbia cannot fix or correct a shipping address before sending a package. So, if the package is still in their hands, why not resolve an issue?
Having an old address picked by the system as a shipping address has been a tremendous headache for me because Columbia has policies that harm the customers. So, I contacted USPS, and unfortunately, there's nothing I can do to rescue my two packages (since they shipped my order in different packages). While there's an expensive option to redeliver the package, the address on my credit card should be the same as the one where the package was originally sent. So, since Columbia sent the boxes to an old address, I cannot make any transactions to rescue my packages.
This situation is highly disappointing, and I can't believe Columbia does business in such an irresponsible way. Really?There's nothing you can do to cancel an order or correct a simple address? Nobody in Columbia responds to these types of issues. So, where is the customer service? This is outrageous.
Although I appreciate the short time agents dedicated to listening to the shipping problem, I did not find any solution from Columbia when it was possible to do it. Unfortunately, now it is impossible to find an alternative with USPS, and I lost my money. Thank you, Columbia! This is the worst customer service I have ever seen in the US.
Answer: When they open at 4am its easy on the phone but later it can take an hour, maybe because of Christmas.on chat i had to wait 10 min
