First-time customer, products defective right out of the bag, lacking quality control, unhelpful, arrogant, inflexible and condescending customer service, want me to run around town fixing their quality control problems at my time and expense. NEVER, NEVER, EVER AGAIN. The worst buying experience I ever had with any online company. The same issue would have taken 2 minutes with amazon.com to solve, at Columbia 45 minutes in the chat (incl. Helpless supervisor) with no result whatsoever. Leaving reviews and warning friends wherever I can about this disastrous company. Buy somewhere else. It's cheaper, possibly not broken right out of the box, and the customer service can only be better than here.
An excellent outdoor experience with this company`s clothing and footwear! I own three coats and two pairs of boots from them, for different type of weather, and can say they are gorgeous. You really dont bother about whats happening outside - these clothes will serve you good. The only thing that can be considered as a drawback - their prices, quite high.
Last year I purchased a raincoat and hiking boots from this site.
The service is good, everything arrived without any delay. The clothes are of high quality. It survived last year road trip through the mountains. I think it is still good for another one trip :)) But I do need some new shirts and I have noticed a few fancy items already:)

I ordered a jacket from this company, i needed the jacket by a certain date, so the rep promised me expedited shipping. Days later i'm wondering why i still have not gotten it. They told me he never did expedite my shipping. Now i won't have the jacket by the date i needed to have it by. I called customer service and they are no help at all. I will never order from this company again. Thank goodness for Amazon!
I have a Columbia 590TD jacket. Overall, I love the thing BUT, the inside lining in the pockets CONSTANTLY gets caught in the zipper to the point where I can't use them! And, I DO mean CONSTANTLY... not now and then but, every single time I try to unzip the pocket.
This is NOT rocket science! The manufacturer could simply use a wider thread pattern to keep the inner lining further away from the zipper.
I tried ordering some hats for my husband. The company stated they were delivered and I then disputed it on December 5th 2021. They then proceeded to ignore, hang-up on me, and put me through so many hoops to try and get the refund resolved for NEVER receiving their products. Then after a over a month after waiting 3 hrs on the phone to talk to someone they said they resolved it and they don't care anymore. If i wanted anything further ask the police for help. Most rude and unhelpful company. Don't support them with your money its a waste if anything goes wrong.
I placed an order and within 10 minutes I realized there was a small typo in address. I immediately got on chat with an agent and was told they cannot change address or cancel the order once placed. They said they would do what they could to try and change the order ince it shipped, but could not guarantee the address would be updated or that they could request a return to sender. So I guess I just loose that money and product if it is delivered to wrong address? They would not give me an answer to that. How can a company survive with such antiquated computer systems? This has been an all around horrific experience! If they cannot make a simple address change or cancel within minutes of placing the order, how would they handle a more difficult request like a size exchange? Never again will I buy from this company and I suggest you look to North Face or another similar company to purchase from.
I purchased a jacket for a winter trip to the UK. When the jacket didn't arrive when expected, I called the customer service line. I spent 6 hours waiting to speak with a representative. The first representative I spoke to was nice but could not help me. The package never arrived. They insisted that they would open an investigation that would likely result in me getting my money back. After 30 days the investigation was complete and they told me that the package was delivered without providing any proof. I then followed up with the delivery service UPS to restart the investigation. At this point it has been 50 days. I don't have my coat. I had to purchase one from another company despite the fact that I have been charged 250 dollars for nothing. I have spent countless hours trying to get my money back, but Columbia doesn't seem to care about that or their customers in general. I will never buy another Columbia product and I will advise everyone I know to do the same.
Ordered shoes a week ago. Website shows they haven't shipped. Called to talk to their support staff and nobody anywhere can find what's happening with my order, no tracking, nothing. When asked what their policies are for not fulfilling orders, no answer. Their policies for not shipping within a reasonable time frame? They don't exist. Want to know when you can expect the shoes now that they see your order and they know that the shoes are in their warehouse? No, that's not a thing either.
So, my order is late, lost, and nobody can tell me anything.
The reason for this? They're having server issues. I don't know if they got hacked, didn't pay their bill, or if the new IT guy lied on his resume.
The point is they are having a royal screw up in their server department right now and they'll do nothing to resolve it.
When the shoes do eventually arrive though, they will be going right back out the door with the return label and that money is going towards a better company.
I purchased $150 gift card on November 28th to be used on Black Friday sale item, which was promised to be delivered electronically to my email address within 24 hours.
It has been over 3 days and I still don't have the gift card!
I did not receive the gift card on time to use it towards Black Friday discounted item. I talked to 4 customer care agents and all I heard is "I'm sorry we can't refund gift card purchases!"
Their policy states "no refunds on gift cards" needles to say they are holding me hostage with no refund and no gift card in last 3 days. Empty promises, policies to protect themselves, poor customer service. I do not recommend columbia.com to anyone!
Did two online orders for $17 each. Website stated that returns can be done to the store.
Drove to store to reurn, 52 miles round trip.
Store refused to process return because it was paid with Paypal. Stated that Paypal orders can only be mailed back by corporate policy. As I found out this isi stated on their website if you look very hard. It is NOT stated at purchase or where they state that returns can be made to their stores.
Ended up wasting my time and gas and will have to pay for return shipping.
Columbia.com deducts $6 for each return.
Since they were different orders, I paid $6 twice, $12 on a total $34 dollars to return a flawed product.
Out of the $34 I paid, I'll get back $22 for two shorts that were mis-designed. This was not a normal size issue. They were too tight at the hips. This is not an issue I have ever had in ANY other pant or short of correct waist size.
Will not use this vendor again.
Out of 3 pairs of Columbia pants I have bought in the past 6 months, all three have had the stitching on the back pockets unravel, making the pockets useless. I called the warranty line and since I have no receipt, they will not fix them. I will not waste my money on Columbia again. 5.11 makes a much better product that will last years.
Ordered a black jacket off line and had to order 2 the first one the website decided to change the color from black to a faded peach Ugly color. I couldn't do anything but wait til it gets here to start a return process and order one in the right color. Although I had called moment after placing said order. Then was stuck on forever hold waiting for a supervisor that never came. Worse business out there they do what ever they can to not help and even got hung up on by one of the so Called customer service rep.
I ordered a pair of boots for my son it's been almost 9 days and it's still saying the label has been created. My order is nowhere near close to being delivered and they don't even send a courtesy email.
My son bought me a hooded Performance Gear Fishing Shirt as a gift. Very nice thought. I used it once and got fish blood on it. Can't get the blood out and Columbia tech has no idea on how to do it. So now I have a $50 polyester rag to go fishing with.
I did not receive my order for which I paid the fast shipping fee in January, numbered *******. I called customer service many times and it was said that the money could not be taken from your credit card, so your order was cancelled. I also requested mail from 2 customer representatives. I wanted to send a screenshot of my credit card or my account statement that the money was taken from me. They still haven't been able to give me a solution. I paid 150 dollars for the products that I have never received, including fast transportation. I have proof of this. I'm going to complain wherever I can. Besides, it was a birthday present. I had a great week thanks to you.
Their customer service team will not do anything to help you. All they will do is tell you to go to the retail store. These items were sale items and no returns are accepted. I reached out to Columbia and they said they do not warranty any product unless it is purchased directly through their website.
Once you placed your order you are on your own!

I contacted them right away! Nothing helped... and a nice sum of money went to waste, lucky is the guy who got my package...

To be fair, I'll update the rest of the 'story'.
It was a long fight, but I was mad and refused to give up quickly, eventually they were willing to refund me and I places a new order.
As far as the clothing quality, I'm very satisfied, definitely worth the price, just a pity that the shopping experience wasn't a good one.
Spent 41 days going back and forth with their customer service on a pair of boot that were never delivered. After the 41st day told me to contact the shipper there is nothing they can do about the situation. Charged my card, kept the money and never delivered the product. The shipper shows two separate delivery dates one taking place at 3:54 AM. Total disappointment in a company I have purchased a lot from in the past.
I never received my stuff that was delivered by USPS. Columbia customer service took 14 days to investigate and said there's nothing they can do. So they took my $120. I am left in the cold with no merchandise. The back and forth communication is a waste of time. It's very petty. Macy or Amazon has better policy. Do not support Columbia. These are hard times and I cannot get my money back. I reported to BBB.
Answer: When they open at 4am its easy on the phone but later it can take an hour, maybe because of Christmas.on chat i had to wait 10 min
