I got my ultra satin lipstick tube in the mail and the very first time I went to use it I found a hair inside of the tube. Customer service offered nothing for this disgusting inconvenience.
I've ordered from Colourpop many times over the last -5 years, since ~2018, but I don't think I will be returning. I realize one customer boycotting the brand is not going to bankrupt them, but hopefully my experience will help someone else. I placed an order recently (February 2023) only to have one of the items not show up in the shipment. Not that it necessarily matters, I think it's a matter of principle and treating your customers right, but the order was on the expensive side (especially for this website...) and contained 15+ items. When I contacted customer service via email, they informed me that too much time had elapsed since my order had been dispatched and they were unable to help me. Am I supposed to apologize for being out of town for work and not opening the package the second it arrived? I was very polite in my email exchange, provided supporting documentation in the form of pictures of the items that I had received and the packing slip. This is the response that I received: "Please keep in mind that we have this policy in place to be fair to all of our other customers, we hope you can understand! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!"? To be fair to your other customers who actually received what they paid for? Fascinating.
For anyone that's wondering, you can purchase Fourth Ray Beauty products at Ulta instead (I did not realize this until recently; I really like some of their moisturizers, I'm sure their ingredients are garbage but that's besides the point here I suppose). I have never had another company (fashion, beauty, skincare, home decor, accessories, anything) fail to ship me an item and not immediately rectify the situation and ship me a new product. Save your money ladies; there's many others brands ranging from bargain to luxury and everything in between who will actually ship you what you paid for! I very rarely write reviews for anything but felt this needed to be said.
I am really disappointed to leave a one-star review, as I did like the products I received. However, like many other commentators, I received a wrong item. While slightly annoying, no big deal. However, the only way to contact customer service is through an email submission form. (There is no phone number, which is significantly more annoying, as it implies ColourPop is unwilling to stand behind their products by making themselves accessible to customers.) I emailed customer service and received a response that I would hear something within 48 hours. It has been over a week, and I have had to submit a second form. (There is no way to follow up on an inquiry because they do not provide any sort of reference number and, again, have no customer support line.) After researching, many other customers have had a similar experience. Frankly, that is not acceptable. Nothing they sell is so great that it is worth the risk of ordering through a company that consistently fails to deliver the products that customers order and purchase.
More often than not, I have had items missing from my packages. But I always gave ColourPop a shot because they were replaced. This time around, my latest package was shipped on 3/26/21 and I have yet to be receive it. I contacted DHL, USPS, and ColourPop. DHL is not answering my messages beyond the obligated automated messages, USPS confirmed that they are waiting for the package (since DHL should have provided it to USPS), and ColourPop just told me to contact DHL and USPS when I already mentioned communicating with them. I will continue to fight for my money, but this is ridiculous. I understand that this is affordable makeup, but in the is day and age where companies are folding (especially during a pandemic), I don't expect for ColourPop to continue much further if they keep these shady practices to avoid refunding customers.
I was waiting for the shipment for more than 30 days. I finally received it but when I read here that usually customers do not receive their items I will not use this service anymore.
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. You can't talk to customer service and they don't send you your stuff and they don't refund your money it's awful experience
I've been buying stuff online since 2004 and I've never, ever, ever encountered anything as bad or as unprofessional as Colourpop. Ordering from them in the US might be worth it but the absolute shamelessness and incompetence they've shown me in the last month has topped anything I thought was possible. Don't fall for it, shipping isn't "free" on international orders. They'll neglect to add any sort of proof of purchase to your package and it'll get stuck in customs. At this point Colourpop considers your shipment delivered and you're left to chase it down somewhere and pay outrageous fines *not only* for customs fees but also for not including the proper paperwork. And customer service could care less, they're just like, "Dont try to get around paying your customs, babe." Absolute $#*!wits. Save your cash and don't order from these frauds. And btw, I still haven't received my January order and it's April. It's lost somewhere and as you can guess, Colourpop considers the order delivered. Unbelievable. If there were ever a class action against them, please include me.
I ordered $80+ worth of products on March 6th, and was notified that the order shipped March 11th. On March 18th, I contacted the company because the shipping site said that the shipper was waiting for the package. Customer service told me to check the shipper's web site for shipping information, basically confirming they didn't read my email. About 20 or so emails and just under 3 months later, they still won't issue a refund for this order that never shipped and keep telling me my order is "processing" as they get their fulfillment center back up and running and they ignore every request for a refund. The thing about it that I can't make sense of is that all of this runaround must cost something in terms of Human Resources. Instead of making all of your cs reps send out email after email giving people the brush off, why not just issue the refund, make the customer happy and look forward to me coming back for something else in the future? At this point, I'm super irritated and I initiated a chargeback through my credit card company since this is basically legal, low level fraud. Their makeup isn't Pat McGrath in a $8 palette - but even if it were, they're pretty disrespectful of their customers and I don't get down with that.
I placed my order on Black Friday last year, it is now the end of January and the order has still not arrived. After countless of insincere, repeated and unhelpful emails telling me to go deal with their shipping problems for them i. E. Contact the mailing services myself, or going down to the office to collect it rather than have it delivered, I've decided to ask for a refund. There is no way colour pop values their customers especially knowing how dissapointing this shopping experience have been and they won't offer more than an apology. After all the inconvenience their shipping incompetency has caused due to the products never arriving for the holiday season, they took ages to agree to a refund. Now I have to wait again for them to pay me my money back and this whole situation has been the bane of my life the last two months. Not even a single form of compensation from the company. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS UNORGANISED HORRIBLE COMPANY.
My ColourPop order of Dec 5th 2016 still has not arrived Jan 11 2017! I have contacted customer service --I will have to see what the response is but already not impressed.
I ordered a few items from colourpop last week I received no confirmation email or shipping email. I even checked on the order history and my purchase was no recorded, so I figured it was cancelled. I repurchased my products again along with some other products and I got a confirmation email and shipping email and it was recorded in the order history. A few days later I get my first order, I had no knowledge that it was still coming, along with the second order. I was furious. How do you send our products without any information of the purchase? This happened a second time with another order. I ordered those two transactions with no tracking numbers on the same day. I already contacted colourpop and they said someone will contact you within 48 hours, I did not received any emails from them and it's been 3 days. I told them I'm not going to pay for something I thought was cancelled. Just today, I received an order that I did not even order. I'm very upset with them. I do love their products, but it's not worth the headache.
My eyeshadows look nothing like what they looked like on their site and they never do refunds or exchanges either. I was robbed. Very very unhappy. Never again.
I ordered the lip collection and the new garden collection when it first came out. I've purchased every collection that came out after that! I received my candy land & sailor moon collections & yet to receive any updates on my previous order. I continued to receive emails that they were shipping my order and to not be "anxious" (I stupidly believed them). I then received an email LYING to me that they had an error entering my shipping address (it's a business!) and lost my package but still couldn't provide any tracking information! I work in fulfillment, I KNOW when you're lying Colourpop! They NEVER shipped my order and lied that it was lost. They offered to give me "credit" because they couldn't replace my whole order but can ship 1 of the 4 items on the order. I will NEVER order from them again & will certainly let all my clients know. Worse customer service ever. Just be REAL. "Issues entering your shipping address" I received an order confirmation, I didn't see any errors! I received the rest of my orders that were order after this just fine using the same address. Stop bs-ing.
I am from Europe and my last order had problems at the custom office and it was delivered back to colourpop. I emailed them and asked if its possible to have my order sent again whenever they will have international free shipping or if that is not possible I would like to get a refund or a maybe a voucher to order again. All I received from them was a generic copy paste answer that they are sorry for this inconvenience and that they dont do refunds. They did not bothered to answer if the will send my package again or if I can get a voucher and be able to place a new order. Meanwhile they have my money and they also have my order that I haven't even been able to see.
I will to do a charge back with my credit card and never order again from them. Its just unbelievable how many people are in this situation and everyone is just ignored. On their site they mention about the fact that they are wallet friendly, but so far for me they were not so wallet friendly and the experience was very frustrating and stressful.
Love all of my lipsticks, the primer, eyeshadow, eye liner, and cheek color/highlighter. I always receive and order confirmation and my order usually about a week later!
I found the website super cute and easy to work with. I was super easily able to find everything I needed and more. The feature to add a compact for single eyeshadows is also nice
I was a first time buyer to the Hocus Pocus collection, the first day of launch when they were suppose to do it, I waited an hour to try and get on the site then another hour to wait for an announcement that they couldn't launch that day. Then the next day happened, there was a line up for products and barely anyone actually got anything from the collection never mind the whole collection, I find colourpop to overhype & disappoint I have never experienced anything like this in my life & I hope they eventually get shut down for horrible quality business, I've also heard of people not receiving there orders & not getting any help with getting them back or a resend. Disgusting

I ordered 10 eyebrow pencils in 2017. All were fine. Again, in 2018 I ordered 10 more. I used 2 without a problem, but the third box I opened had a faulty pencil that would not twist up. I emailed ColourPop and sent a picture of the faulty pencil, only to be told they would not do anything because more than 2 weeks had lapsed. I contacted the BBB which prompted ColourPop to claim they will send a replacement pencil. I will see if that ever happens. How was I to know I needed to open all 10 boxes to see if the pencils would twist up the lead? THE PROBLEM IS, THEIR PENCILS TO NOT RETRACT! They should stand behind their products! The owner, president, CEO, or whomever is in charge should know about their terrible customer service!

Answer: The website features some looks that people have created and you can even shop the looks directly from those pictures. It is very easy to create fun, bold looks with the colors that they have to offer.
