Never again!

I ordered the "Snap-front Sweatshirt Lounger" on 9-23-21. The only good thing I can say is that I received it in 8 days. But from the moment I took the package out of the mailbox, I was concerned. It was so lightweight I thought they had shipped the wrong item. I was astonished upon opening to see it was the Lounger. The fabric is so lightweight you can almost see through it! I expected a heavy, warm sweatshirt type fabric. Instead I got fabric that would be suitable for a long sleeve t-shirt. I was afraid to unsnap the snaps for fear I would pull a hole through the fabric! I bought this to replace a sweatshirt lounger that I've had for at least 10 years and my old one is STILL twice as thick as the one I got from Coldwater Creek. I'm so angry that I was deceived by their description of the lounger and now I have to pay shipping to return this piece of junk. I loved the brick-and-mortar stores of the past but this is the last straw for me. I've had to return everything I've bought online due to poor fit or quality. They've lost a customer for good. Now, after reading other reviews, I'm concerned about receiving my refund. Wish me luck.

No Return Label

Lousy service

Just tried to order from new catalog and was told they could be shipped in SPRING. What has happened to cwc?! Used to be great but can't see ever ordering again. What a shame..

Nothing to say that has not already been posted by others. THE CUSTOMER SERVICEOR LACK THEREOFFOR COLDWATER CREEK SINCE THEY BECAME AN ONLINE STORE IS APPALLING. No order confirmations, no communication about the shipping process/status, and you count yourself lucky if the order eventually shows up at your door. Don't even get me started on returns. There is no acknowledgement of receipt of return, and you cannot expect anything to be processed for a minimum of 3 weeks, what they call an "extended processing period." Clever way of holding onto customers' money for way longer than is necessary. I'm done. It's just not the same company it used to be.

Absolutely SUCKS! I ordered a sweater in two sizes on August 10, because I wasn't certain which size would best fit based on past experience with this vendor. The first sweater did not arrive till more than a MONTH later -- and the other one still has not arrived, more than TWO MONTHS later. I called to check, because I was concerned about it -- wanting to be sure I could still return the first sweater if the second was the better fit, only to be told that they start their clock running from the time you PLACE your order -- never mind the fact that they may not FILL it for more than THIRTY DAYS! Every bad review of thie vendor is 100% true! I'm returning the first sweater and have learned my lesson. Their clothes are too matronly anyway. I don't need the added aggravation of lousy customer service policies.

If you once knew Coldwater Creek as a brick-and-mortar store -- forget it. This is not the same company. The current group simply bought the rights to use the name.

The headquarters once listed in MA is now closed and the number disconnected. The current headquarters in ID and listed above in the headline on this page is likely bogus. The phone number shown above is a "rewards" line and does not get you to the company.

A few months ago it was hard to find a phone number to talk to Customer Service -- had to search the internet. Now, a phone number is splashed in large type on their website and on the invoice sent with merchandise. Calling this number will be answered by a cheery voicemail saying, "We haven't forgotten you... We're open 24/7". You will sit on hold -- permanently.

If you have used your credit card to purchase, you will notice there is no phone number listed as some other companies do.

I have personally filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and will follow through with the Attorney General's Office in my state. Coldwater Creek is collecting monies through internet sales and also sales tax, but in some cases there is no merchandise and no one to talk to! Their business practices are unethical, misleading, and perhaps illegal. Don't get mad -- get even! I urge all who see this to consult with the attorney general in their state. Go prepared with notes and documentation. This company is now owned by Sycamore Partners out of NY -- these would be the "money men".

Quality clothes, but returns are a nightmare

As long as you have no returns, Coldwater Creek still has quality clothing. If you do need to return something, do not email but instead call customer service. They can generate a return form and will email it to you immediately; keep copies of these 2 emails and your order along with the SKU/Style number info about what you return (take photos with your phone of these documents, and also your package before you mail it). Your package will take 2 weeks to get to Illiniois then to Indiana; for the next two weeks it will bounce back to IL then back to IN according to the tracking; it's crazy and indicates serious issues with their logistics. Then, please do call their customer service; leave your name and they will call back so you don't have to wait. I've found their customer service folks on the phone to be very helpful and the lady I got today expedited my refund, although she did say it will take up to 12 days (!) to appear. Everything takes much longer than it should, I think their returns processing is seriously messed up after their reorganization under new ownership last summer.

First they lose my order and don't inform me. So I reorder and pay extra for 2 day shipping so I will receive order before I leave on vacation. I call several hours after I made the order to enquire about tracking number and am told the order is on backorder and will not be shipped for two weeks, at which time I will be billed extra for two day shipping.
I clarify this won't work since I am going on vacation and request cancellation. They inform me that I cannot cancel an order that was made several hours ago and is on backorder and won't be shipped for two weeks. A supervisor tells me the same.
So I dispute the charge with my bank and notify CC they will not get paid if they ship this order while I am on vacation.
Next follows 24 hours of the most ludicrous emails you have ever seen from CC. One series says order is cancelled, won't be shipped. Another series says order will ship in two weeks. And the final series says the order was shipped an hour ago and will be at my house by tomorrow.
Customer Service tells me opposite things in writing on the same day! They apparently will not cancel an order, even immediately, once you make it online, and do not tell you if your order is on backorder, and charge you expedited shipping even if your order will be shipped weeks late.
The only time they paid any attention was when I told them the bank will not pay them, and then suddenly, the order was no long on backorder, and is being shipped overnight.
This is a serious scam. Beware!

NIGHTMARE!

I placed an order for (2) dresses. Within a couple of hours I decided to cancel as dresses are something I re. Ally have to try on prior to purchasing. Anyway could not get through to this company by phone to cancel and being I didn't open an account with them could not get in to check on status so I emailed my cancellation. Upon no response I called and was on hold for 15 to 19 mins and finally got a live person. They could not cancel as they said the order was being processed/shipped. To make a long story short BS... is what this was. The order didn't go out until 2 1/2 weeks. I told then that when I rec'd the package I would return it (not accept it from UPS). I was told to accept it and they would be sending me a return label. So I waited and accepted the package and decided to open it to see if maybe the dresses would fit. Anyway there was only (1) dress in the package instead of (2) like I ordered and was charges $297.00... Well I have been emailing with no response from this company... I have called 3-4 times and put on hold 15-1=20 mins just to be told that label would be sent for my return and then refund. Why not refund my money for dress never shipped was the question on last call.The man was very rude saying that I would get a call back to let me know of my return and refund... Needless to say, NO CALL YET. NO LABEL YET & no refund. Do no order from this company... Not worth the aggrevation. I'm still battling for my refund

I bought a dress for a June event. Received and took out of box. Strong chemical smell to the dress. Didn't think too much of that other than it sure would need to be aired out. Tried the dress on, wasn't real happy with the fit. Waited a few days until my daughter came over and tried dress on for her, she agreed with me that the underarms were cut too low. I decided to return the dress with the given smart post label. A couple weeks later I received the dress back with a note in the box stating they don't accept worn clothing. Well I did not wear the dress! A better explanation would have been helpful. There is no soil anywhere on the dress and the tag is still on it. Customer service defends their "inspection dept" and I asked if I can talk to the inspection dept to find out why they feel this dress has been worn. I was told that's not possible. Customer service says maybe I should try sending the dress back again. Now I feel I'm between a rock and a hard place. Do I buy another box to return the dress (because the original box is very damaged from all the shipping)? I don't even have a smart post label to return the dress. Will the dress just be sent back to me again with very little explanation? To say the least, I'm not a very happy customer! This was my first time buying and my last. This was a very weird experience!

4/26/18 Received email from Cold Water Creek advising my order placd for the second time was cancelled. Dress no longer available in my size.
Called customer care again spoke with Kedarea, after being corrected 4 times that my pronunciation of her name was wrong (very condescending) Perhaps the customer who received my order and I hers is holding my order.
I will no longer be ordering anything from Cold Water Creek and would appreciate the company NOT SENDING ME ANY MORE MAGAZINES.

My order # 13280 was not received, instead received order #1321 a dress that was wrong dress, wrong size wrong price (invoice received for $119.95) my card was charged 167.96. WRONG ORDER RECEIVED. Shipped to wrong person. After call to Coldwater Creek this problem was resolved by Cindy however my time was wasted on something that should not have happen. Irene Walker

Bad Business Processing

I have purchased a lot of items from the company over the years but recently purchased 2 vests online. I meant to get 2 different colors and I order 2 in black by mistake. I called immediately to see if I could change the order and was on hold for 2 or 3 minutes. The customer service person was nice but said my order was already processed and I could not change it. The was on December 29. I never the received my order and when I checked online it stated that there was a package but no shipping information. I waited a few weeks and asked what was going on. They replied they would refund my total amount as the package was shipped but got lost. Then I waited 5 business days and no refund and asked again about my refund. I did get a refund the amount for the vests but not for tax or shipping. I asked a third time and they agreed to refund the entire amount. They stated they don't normally refund shipping, but I don't think they ever shipped package. I also think I would have received a refund I had not asked about it. I am sorry that is a bad way to do business.

I ordered some items from what I thought was Coldwater Creek. They were having a clearance sale, great prices. I knew something was wrong when they sent a tracking number from Hong Kong. Spent several weeks watching a "shipment" coming from overseas. Often had to use Google translate to see what the status was. Finally, it said it had been delivered. I had received nothing. I will say, when I contacted them via E-mal (several times) they answered quickly.

I said I hadn't received a package. They assured me their records showed I had, and I needed to contact my neighbors, family members, and the Post Office. I did go into the US Post Office and they said the tracking number wasn't theirs at all, and not even in the USPS tracking format. In addition, I have informed delivery from USPS and the package never showed up on any schedule.

They conceded that their records showed the package was smaller than it should have been so they must have shipped the wrong thing. I needed to locate the original, incorrect package and return it and they would then send my correct items. If I didn't send back the errant package they could only refund me 10% of my purchase price.? Again, they admitted my purchase had never been sent, but assured me their logistics company said I had received a package containing sunglasses, which I was to locate and return. We have cameras. We have USPS informed delivery. I had received no sunglasses.

Finally, I contacted my credit card and within an hour they told me the vendor had issued a refund.

I bought a liquid silver necklace from Coldwater Creek that was marked sterling silver and had a price to match. I have taken very good care of this necklace but found that it would no longer shine. I took it to the jewelers for polishing and found out today that it is not sterling silver. When I called Coldwater Creek customer service I was told too bad, the necklace was from the "old" Coldwater Creek and it was my problem. I pointed out that this was sold to me under the Coldwater Creek name they are using and it was fraud to sell jewelry as sterling silver that was not the customer service agent tried to tell me that sterling silver does not last and can go bad. REALLY? Then why does my grandmother's sterling silver tableware still shine? These people are complete rip off's... both the old company that sold the fraudulently marked necklace and the company that bought their name. I will never buy anything again from Coldwater Creek and BEWARE of anything on the internet being sold as Coldwater Creek Sterling Silver... it is not!

Frustrated Customer

Back on 12/10/21, I ordered two sweaters. I returned one of the sweaters on 12/17/21 using the prepaid label. I called on 1/4/22, to check the return status. No info could be found. In fact the more I questioned, the more silent the customer service rep became. I was very calm throughout the call so there certainly was no need for her attitude. I was told that I had to wait about three weeks. Well, here it is 1/19 and still no return. I was told today that I should contact my local USPS to check on my package. I asked the rep if he thought the package would magically appear in some backroom! No reply. I also asked him what would happen if the package is never found. He said there would be no restitution. They couldn't help if a package is lost. From all the postings regarding the same issue as I've had, there certainly is a reoccurring theme. Wow.
Well, I had shopped the Coldwater Creek stores for years and always enjoyed their customer service. That's gone. Such a sorry end for a once fabulous women's clothing store.

I went to checkout and a button appeared that said if I clicked on it I would receive 20% discount and free shipping all for allowing texts. I received neither. This button was a lie. I consulted the chat who told me to submit the order and I would receive my $30 refund after submitting the order. Another lie. The chat disappeared. I called customer service and they gave me a case number and said someone would call me within 48 hrs. Another lie. No one ever contacted me. Another lie. I called customer service again. They told me they could not give me my $30 because the item was not eligible for promotion and it had already shipped. They would not let me talk with a supervisor. They did not know the name of the president of the company. I wrote an email to customer service, no response. This has been the worst online customer service I have ever received. I will not do business with this company again. I suspect the old CC, which was probably a company with heart was purchased by a company solely after profit, and with no conscious and no heart.

Needed a dress for daughter's wedding that was a week away due to an emergency. Ordered 2 dresseses on a Monday and paid a lot to have them shipped "over night".
Bottom line; they hadn't even shipped them by Wednesday. I was told that the order was being prepared for shipping and it might arrive by Friday. I was never contacted by email that it would be delayed, nor would they refund me the money I paid to have it overnighted.
DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
