I have been with Chase for almost 20 years now. They are great for checking and savings.

Terrible for merchant services.

Zero Customer Service
November 7, 2023

I am so disgusted with Chase bank. I purchased a banjo from Banjo.com in May of 2022. The owner promised that I would receive the banjo in 4 to 6 week, but after 5 months I still didn't have the banjo. No one bothered to inform me of what was going on. When the banjo came it was defective and had to be sent back to Deering. So the owner of Bano.com said he would order another banjo, but refused to give me a time frame. As of September 2023 I still hadn't received the banjo. I had already contacted Chase back in September of 2022 to ask them if it was too late to file a dispute. Chase totally ignored my three messages sent within my Chase account. There is zero customer service. I got some weird message printed on my next credit card statement in October of 2022, saying that Chase had refunded my money, but they never did, and there was no explanation. Chase is messed up. I had merely asked them a simple question, I never filed a dispute against Banjo.com because I didn't get that far (and I didn't want to piss off the owner because then I might never get my money back). I just had asked Chase a simple question, which the incompetent employees at Chase refused to answer, for whatever reason. I just wanted to know if there was a statute of limitations on filing a dispute. How long did I have before it was too late? Chase never did reply. One year later in September of 2023, I receive a bizarre letter in my mail from Chase, saying that they had chosen to side with Banjo.com, saying that the transaction was legitimate. I never even filed a dispute, because I am still trying to work things out with the owner of Banjo.com (still 18 months later). Why did Chase file a dispute without my knowledge? I am out $4,899 and still don't have any banjo from Banjo.com as of November 2023. What the hell is wrong with Chase bank? How can they side with Banjo.com when I never received possession of the item I purchased? These incompetent ungodly people make me sick! Get your act together Chase!

Worst bank to deal with. Opened a new Total Checking account with nothing but problems from the start. First, it was a W-9 problem and I had to go back to the bank with another signed hard copy. Two weeks later they send me a letter requesting me to fill out another W-9. They are now closing my account after two months stating a check I electronically deposited was a fraudulent check because they could not verify the name and phone number. I went to the branch manager with the check explaining to him that this is from one of my tenants who has been with me for 12 years and owns over 40 franchise stores. This tenant has different corporate names for stores in North and South Carolina and if you call the phone number on the check they will verify that the company name that is on the check is part of their main company, but instead, they refused, saying they have their methods of check verification and the phone number doesn't match the name. All they would say is it is a fraudulent check and we are closing your account, but you won't get the existing money for at least 3 weeks. All they had to do was call the number and ask them about the check but they refused. For the last 12 years, I have deposited this franchisee's check in my PNC Bank account and my United Community Bank account with no questions or problems about the corporate name on the check. I only opened the Chase account because we moved and Chase Bank was nearby. Most banks would just put a hold on the check until it fully clears. Well, surprise my tenant just informed me the check cleared yet they are still canceling my account. I called Chase and was told they will reverse the check and still close the account. What kind of sense does this make? You would think they would welcome new business but from my 45 years of experience dealing with banks, Chase Bank does not care about their customers and is by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with.

Dishonest bank
January 28, 2022

01/28/2022 we went into the Lady Lake Florida branch of Chase Bank to cash a check drawn on their bank and the first teller told us "I'll check with the bank manager to see if there is enough funds to cash the check but you have to open an account in order to cash the check. I said the check is drawn on your bank why do we have to open an account to cash the check and she said that's the policy of the bank so in another words the check is no good because they won't honor it or their dishonest in trying to get people to open accounts on under fraudulent circumstances. In the Meantime we didn't get a penny and now we have to wait for our money and we have an account we don't want.

So we were stupid enough to go ahead and open an account, then the next teller tells us oh there's a $2500 limit on a Business check which we found out later was a lie as there is no limit on the check. She would not cash the check she would not give us any of the funds from the check when I asked for the $2500 cash limit she said "oh I can't can't give you ANY money at all you'll have to wait a week. This is not what the first teller told us. You're lying to people to get them to open accounts so they don't cash checks but they deposit them and they use your money for a week. It's very dishonest and I believe it's also illegal. The bank managers name is Mike and I called to speak with Mike about this incident and Mike wouldn't take my call or return my call. Monday I will go down personally and see Mike Face to face. Do not do business with this bank you can see that they have a terrible rating of two stars, this tells you all you need to know about this bank.

I opened a credit card- spend 1k in the first month and receive $40k rewards points. I received $40k in rewards... great. A representative told me about another promotion- spend $5k in 3 months and receive $50k in rewards. All I had to do was call in after the $5k was spent and the rewards would be honored. I called back after I spent $5k in three months and no one could help me or honor the rewards. I talked to several representatives and managers and they all told me they could not honor the request. I gave dates, times, names of every representative/ manager I spoke with- of course there we no notes in the system even though I called back multiple times. I even suggested to replay the recorded phone conversations! Nothing was done - all I received was an apology over and over again. Why would I spend over $5k for no reason and get nothing out of it! I even asked for other current promotions- they wouldn't apply those because of the state I live in. I asked to have my limit increased since I spent so much money- they said sure- but it would be a hard pull on my credit! LIARS! NOT happy!

FOR SOME STRANGE OFF REASON...THE SAME UNHAPPY UNPROFESSIONAL TROUBLE MAKERS MNGR/ SUPERVISOR DECIDED TO SHOW ME AGAIN EXACTLY WHO THEY TRULY ARE TODAY. STRANGELY TELLING THE TELLER TO CLOSE HER WINDOW AFTER MY TRANSACTION WITH HER. I WAS LIED INTENTIONALLY TO BY THE MNGR. THERE REGARDING A CHECK I DEPOSITED...STATING IT WOULDN'T CLEAR UNTIL 5 TO 7 DAYS LATER. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO WAIT UP TO 7 BUSINESS DAYS TO CLEAR A CHECK. I DIDN'T SAY A WORD MORE TO HER AFTER THAT INTENTIONAL LIE. I WENT ON TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE CORPORATE AND THEY SAID...THAT NOR TRUE. THEY ALREADY SEE THE CHECK POSTED IN THERE SYSTEM AND THE FUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE TOMORROW MORNING AS USUAL. I WISH THE WONDERFUL
PLEASANT PROFESSIONAL GENERAL MANAGER MARCUS WAS THERE TODAY OR EVEN THE PROFESSIONAL KIND PERSONAL BANK GEORGE WAS THERE TODAY. BOTH PROFESSIONAL RESPECTFUL GENTLEMEN ARE VERY KIND TO EVERYONE...NOT JUST CERTAIN CUSTOMERS AND THEY ALWAYS SPEAK OR WAIVE HI WHEN THE SEE YOU. I ALWAYS HAVE TO THE WOMEN THERE FIRST...EXCEPT FOR WONDERFUL PLEASANT JACKIE WHO IS ALWAYS SO HELPFUL, SWEET AND RESPECTFUL TOWARDS ME AND OTHERS AS SHE DOESN'T BUY IN TO BEING SELECTIVE LIKE THE OTHER TELLERS THERE. SIMPLY LEARN HOW TO RESPECT AND VALUE ALLLLLLLL YOUR VALUABLE CUSTOMERS THAT PAY YOUR SALARY. TAKE CARE NOW.

Chase Online Banking and Chase credit cards

I've been using Chase credit cards for many years along with
Chase Online Banking and been happy with it for years except for one error they
Made on my credit rating a year ago. They made a negative posting in error when
My rating was 819 and they took it down to around 799 as I remember, because of
The error. I happened to catch it and called them up and explained it to them
And it was corrected. I've always considered a decent bank until about a month
Ago when a fraud case developed between Amazon.com, and one of their sellers
Who committed the fraud on me for the amount of $708.00 which was reported to
The sheriff's office where a case was filed on the entities. Amazon said they would
Recover the money in 7 to 10 days which they never did. Chase was to recover
The full amount and reimburse me as well, but they only collected one part of
The amount, $249.61 and the rest was and is in limbo. Chase said they did what
They could and left me hanging saying that was all they could. That's when the
Conversations started between me and Chase and Amazon, and every time you
Talked to a different person and got a different story. Chase was to get a full
Refund in 7 to 10 days as well, and it never happened. I kept getting the run
Around from both firms, never getting the same answer twice. Chase became more
Like Amazon and it was most frustrating thing I've ever dealt with in my life,
And still is not resolved. When there is a real problem, Chase doesn't have the
System or the people to handle a problem properly, and was as disappointing as
Well as Amazon. After this experience which has gone on for almost two months,
I'm getting rid of four different Chase cards including my Blue Sapphire card
Which is really a great card and I'm getting rid of my Chase online banking
Account and going to Zion Bank which has a great online banking system as well
Which I noticed is quicker and easier to use than Chase. Chase has turned out
To be a great disappoint especially when things get rough and they don't seem
To know what they are doing, except adding to the confusion and misinformation.

I AM SO UPSET RIGHT NOW! I have had Chase for years! I first had the Sapphire CC then upgraded to the Reserve a few years ago. All my Credit Cards from Chase and other banks have at least a $20k limit. My Chase reserve had a limit of $25k. When I logged into my account, THEY LOWERED MY LIMIT TO $1,100! WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! I have not had a limit that low since my early twenties is 12 years ago! My card had a high balance WHICH I PAID IN FULL a week ago. They said they did a "random credit check" and due to high balances the lowered my card to $1,100. I have NEVER been sent to collections nor have I ever not paid my card. The fact that my loyalty and excellent payment history has LITTLE significance with Chase is a complete SLAP IN THE FACE! Mind you, I paid $500 now $650 annually for this card! You mean to tell me that Chase expects me to keep my account and pay $650 for an $1100 credit limit?! I DONT THINK SO! My other banks and CCs have NEVER treated me this way. RUN AWAY FROM CHASE! They don't care about their customers.
