Terrible Customer Service
December 13, 2022

I contacted Chase today because I made a $84.35 international purchase and could not get in touch with the merchant and had not received the merchandise which is a Christmas gift. I tried making a dispute online, but Chase required me to call in. And the representative on the phone could not take my dispute until I could describe each and every item ordered and the sizes they were ordered it. It took about 23-25 minutes on the call, which I have never had a company that made me jump through hoops unless there was a contradictory response from the company. Chase seemed more concerned that I wanted them to reimburse me $84.35, rather than the possibility that this was a fraudulent company who took my money with no intention of providing the item. I always thought Chase was more fraud conscious, but that was not the case with me. And I think it is laughable and downright stupid that you can't make a dispute if you don't have the sizes. My niece ordered the items and I gave her my card. I had to call her during the call with Chase so that she could tell me this. Needless to say, MY CHASE CARD WILL NOT BE GETTING MUCH USE. So I am not expecting much assistance in Chase helping me.

I recently dropped my debit card at a gas station. I called the gas station and they had no one turn in a debit card. So, I then called chase and reported it lost and the representative I spoke to stated that I needed to go into a branch because I had a recent address change, but that he could report it lost and that if I found it that day I could call back and re-activate. I went into a branch and spoke to a Personal Banker and he stated the same thing 'I will order you a new one but if you find your lost one today (the day I lost it) it could be re-activated.' An employee from the gas station called me back and said someone turned in my debt card (about an hour after I had reported it lost). I called chase back and the gentleman I spoke to told me my card could not be re-activated because they had already processed a new card for me (on a Saturday afternoon) I said 'so I already have new debit card number and its already mailed out.' His response 'yes ma'am this is why I cannot reactivate your old card that was reported lost.' This is unacceptable. Thank you for moving so quickly, but I'm fairly certain nothing moves that quickly on a Saturday afternoon at a bank and even more certain that I'm extremely frustrated with chase as a whole since I did everything they said to do and now have to wait 5-7 BUSINESS days to receive a new card when my one reported lost was found an hour later.

I opened a checking account thinking the $200.00 promotion was just that not with a whole lot of stipulations! Then I mobile deposit a check for $700.00 on the 3rd of July that they said would be available on the 7th then it turned into the 14th... I deposited thinking I would have immediate access, boy was I wrong! Then dealing with customer service and thier hold department has been a nightmare! It sucks! You can't even get a hold of corporate office and they give you the run around and have you on 50 plus minutes of hold time to talk to anyone. Needless to say when I can I will close my account with chase and NEVER DEAL WITH THIS INCOMPETENT BANK AGAIN! You can't even go into an existing bank to deal with the issues... WORSE BANK I'VE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF DEALING WITH!

If you're a JPMG Chase BUSINESS client you're unlikely viewing this review. But my gripe is very real. Chase doesn't care about its Every-men customers. I've hired a debt settlement company after numerous attempts to settle my Chase Credit Charge account. Flatlining an individual's credit report with a Charge-Off is serious business. It implies a consumer walked away from a financial obligation. I did not. Instead, I watched JPMG Chase rack up thousands of finance charges on my account after I reached out to negotiate a payment plan during a brutality protracted divorce process. They enrolled me in Chase Journey credit monitoring without my permission. I hired a debt settlement company and made payments they don't acknowledge. I have no other delinquency or other issues. My credit commitments are appropriate to my limited means. Divorces can be good or bad. I simply want a full scope divorce from Chase Credit Services. It's simply not worth the punishment to my credit score, payment record which affects everything from mortgage elligibility to insurance rates and employment opportunities There's neither a readily available phone number to deal with Chase directly nor a collection agency that handles Chase credit accounts. I bet the demographics affect Chase non-business credit customers of colors in far greater numbers than mainstreamers. Exploitive business practices by a Corporation that is essentially a Goliath capable of destroying the David's of the world without a second glance.

This makes me laugh. A golden review first thing, and then 1 star reviews after that. The second time I've deposited a large check with the bank, they tell me calmly that it will be available in a week and a half. I tell them, I cant wait that long. They say, Sorry! I've mentioned twice that I'm just going to close my account and go somewhere else. They don't budge. OKAY, have a nice day! But it's not a bluff. The first two times I called, the call was routed to India. (1st call) the girl told me that the money wasn't there (Lie. #1). I called back immediately after to see what the next person said. He said the check was returned, and added, if you believe that was an error, you can call on the 29th to see if it's available (lie #2). The 29th happens to be the date when it's supposed to be available. In other words. We wont help you. Wait until the 29th. Then i speak to two others who assure me that the check was not returned, the 3rd telling me that it was processed but Chase put the waiting time on it and he wasnt able to be lifted (lie #3). I know that was a lie, because just moths before I essentially had the same issue, and the guy lifted the hold and it was available the next day. Chase - where you have to chase your money, making it impossible for you to own your own money. These people are a joke and will lie to your face! - Also, ive never had the issues that Ive been having over deposits. But ive researched banks. Chase is listed as one of the worst.

This is a review of the Chase VISA Card Benefit Services, which is supposed to help the consumers but what it does is really help themselves. How?
I bought a new Dell laptop in 2019. It ended up with a hinge problem resulting in broken LCD assembly + an inflated battery resulting in broken covers. I filed an online claim with Card Benefit Services (CBS). They quickly denied it stating I did not provide a US warranty (!). They NEVER read the warranty. I proved I had the US warranty. Now they paid up the initial claim, being proven liar and non-credible. However, the second claim about broken covers, they have never paid, in spite of escalating the complaint to James Dimon and Gordon Smith of Chase Executive Management and VISA CEO Alfred Kelley.
Chase, unfortunately, approves of this tactic and despite repeatedly complaining to them, they have refused to do anything.
CBS is the biggest fraud on unsuspecting customers. It gives you a false sense of security when there is none to be had. CBS will approve all small claims while denying the large claims, and since there are more small claims than large claims, they can show a great experience rate and claim pay-up rate. A scam that Insurance Regulators and AGs should investigate.

Chase is an awful place to bank at. Do NOT bank here if you want to have access to your account. I was a recipient of $650 and they locked me out of my account and when I tried to call the chase online banking customer support number given to me they hung up on me 3 TIMES! When I finally got a hold of them they said it was MY phone having issues and that the sender needed to call them and verify the payment in order to get access to my OWN account. I then had the sender call the chase online banking customer support number and they hung up on her too! I then proceeded to go to the nearest Chase bank. When I explained to the customer service rep my situation all she did was call the SAME number I had called 4 times and nothing was resolved. They continued to state that my account will continue to be locked until the sender verifies their account information. This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous and once this gets resolved I will be my business else where. This is a HUGE inconvenience and I am very upset with how they treat their customers.

Explain how real estate taxes were paid out of my escrow account to a different county and pin. It has been over a month and it has still not been resolved. The correct information was on my closing documents. My taxes will be due soon and my money is still not in my account. I called on March 23rd when I saw the error and I was told it would be corrected with in 7 days. Called again April 9th, 12th, and 25th. STILL NOT DONE AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME HOW THIS HAPPENED AND WHERE MY MONEY IS!

For some reason Chase doesn't want to listen to it's customers when they are having problems with features of their online banking platform. If a customer continues to call and email about not being able to perform a task, Chase should believe them. Without doing a simple test to see what the customer is seeing on their end, the problem will never be resolved. I had already closed an accout becuse they automatically assigned me an account when getting rid of their final grandfathered accounts, and to put the icing on the cake their fees doubled, with no way get rid of them. No, they didn't try to keep me as a customer. Now it's been 4 months trying to get them to review and correct a technical problem. I was told to go into a bank to let them see if I have a longin problem, which wasn't my problem. I have screen shts of the problem, which no one in tech support online or over the phone can fix. I'm trough. I've closed my last account and will be warning everyone around not to do business Chase, including those with mortgages and investment accounts. Why? If Chase can't be component enough to address the small issues, technical issues and especially listen to the customer, when a major issue comes up they want listen then. Chase used to be a great bank, but at this point they will be merging with another bank to gain account checking, savings, and credit card holders.
