I sent two boxes of items to ThredUp for resale, each weighing 40 pounds. Most if not all of the items were new with tags and were Jcrew, Theory, and The Limited. About a month or two later, I received notice that two items had sold for $6 and $2.35 respectively. I paid $25.98 per box (or agreed to that amount being charged to have my items sent to me. Then I get an email today from Thredup asking me to reclaim one skirt for $5.99 for shipping to be sent back to me. So that means I am paying about $52, plus the reclaim fees (if I choose) to make less than $10. A tax writeoff would be more financially beneficial, as I expect to receive additional emails from to pay reclaim fees per item (instead of sending any unwanted items back with the fees I have already paid). You live and learn and I should have paid attention to other reviews, but maybe it was better in the past. But for me, I won't pay additional reclaim fees, but will take my items to a local consignment shop or donate to charity.

Verified purchase

I ordered Burberry stiped booties a few weeks ago. Cettire's current return policy is that the item has to be received within 14 days of receipt (not postmarked), and there is a $25 fee deducted. I was attempting to create a return receipt when their website crashed. I even tried emailing but the emails bounced back. Days later when I could access their site, I was told it was too late to get a return receipt because it was anticipated that the item would not be received within the narrow return window. I tried in multiple emails to explain that it was not my fault that their site and emails were not accessible and asked for an exception to their return period. Cettire refused to acknowledge that their site crashed, despite my having the copies of emails showing that the site was unavailable and the undeliverable emails. The boots that I received are slightly different in color from each other, and looks like I am wearing mix matched boots.

Tip for consumers:
The products cost a lot, may be defective, and the company really does not want to make refunds so put together a very restrictive policy that almost guarantees they won't have to issue refunds. They will avoid and delay and then chose not to allow the return (even if it is within the 14 days) because it is not anticipated that it will be received in time to comply with their return policy.

Products used:
None, I could not contact the company to initiate a return. The colors on the boots did not match each other.

  • Chase

I contacted Chase today because I made a $84.35 international purchase and could not get in touch with the merchant and had not received the merchandise which is a Christmas gift. I tried making a dispute online, but Chase required me to call in. And the representative on the phone could not take my dispute until I could describe each and every item ordered and the sizes they were ordered it. It took about 23-25 minutes on the call, which I have never had a company that made me jump through hoops unless there was a contradictory response from the company. Chase seemed more concerned that I wanted them to reimburse me $84.35, rather than the possibility that this was a fraudulent company who took my money with no intention of providing the item. I always thought Chase was more fraud conscious, but that was not the case with me. And I think it is laughable and downright stupid that you can't make a dispute if you don't have the sizes. My niece ordered the items and I gave her my card. I had to call her during the call with Chase so that she could tell me this. Needless to say, MY CHASE CARD WILL NOT BE GETTING MUCH USE. So I am not expecting much assistance in Chase helping me.

The process was smooth for me and pretty fast. However, I purchased a blazer and pants from Massimo Dutti in Germany which cost about $200.00 (USA) plus taxes. Colis Expat charged me about $308.87 (USA) to send it to me. So I would never be willing to pay that much to purchase items overseas again. I checked the Colis Expat website to calculate shipping before I purchased. It was less than half of the cost. I would have never considered using the service if they were more upfront about the costs.

  • Venetian Hotel

6/14/21

My family and I have vacationed at the Venetian for the last maybe 7or 8 years. We started a Grazie account at the recommendation of our casino host.

We were advised that we could use one account to build points and we would book the rooms together (we take the whole family of 7).

Last week we stayed at the Venetian and spent a lot of money gambling (about double the amount of the rooms and other amenities). To avoid comping us, the casino host now decides that they want everyone to have separate grazie cards, which would require each family member to book separate rooms.

I understand that the Venetian lost money during Covid 19, but if you are going to change the rules, tell me when I book and ask.

It would be pointless for 4 adults to have four separate cards and book 4 seperate rooms to get comps. That means if I book a room, the adult staying in the room with me can't get the grazie benefits unless they get their same room.

Needless to say, we will be finding another hotel in Vegas. It was bad enough that nothing was ready on time, the maid service sucked and they stopped their Covid cleaning, but to try to skimp out on comps after booking with the casino host. That was the bottom line for me.

Tip for consumers:
When booking with a casino host, try to get details in writing. Their policy will change based on whether you are entitled to be comped. While this was never the case in the past, they now try to interpret the rules to be sure that they don't have to comp.

  • Kaylee And Tepid

Kaylee and Tepid now calls themselves: "Lushgood.com" and lists its contact information as:

Address: 1939 Allison Ave, Des Moines, Iowa, *******, United States

When I did not receive my order, I contact paypal. On December 27,2019, I got the following shipping confirmation:

Kaylee here, from KayleeAndTepid.

Good news!

Your order has been shipped out, and you can track it here:

I would have never ordered this as a Christmas gift if I had known that this is not a legitimate company, but a factory in China. There is no way to track the item unless it actually makes it to the United States.

I purchased some shoes that were not quite like the shoes pictures on the website. They were boots that did not have a seam down the middle on the site, but had a seam down the middle when I got them and I just did not like the look. I returned them through my local post office with delivery confirmation or as much confirmation I could get considering where I was shipping to. I never received a refund and was told that the shoes were never received. I tried sending the confirmation that I received from the post office to the company on many occasions. This was in July of last year, and I never received a refund and I stopped get responses to my email. While the amount was under $200.00, I did not like the idea of being taken advantage of.
