It clearly says no shipping fee but once you check out they add the shipping fee to your total without you knowing…2nd they have this timer it says if ordered with certain time it will be processed And shipped the same day thats not true you have to wait another 5 days till it's shipped … highly recommend to look for other options

Shipping cost varies on the destination as well as the taxes. After adding the parts to the cart you put the shipping address. The system checks the nearest location all the parts are available at (the closest so that warehouse to get the lowest shipping price, the availability of several items at one location to have the shipment combined for free). When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the grand total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden, just close the page or get back to the cart.

Only if the grand total works you can proceed with order and be redirected to the page where the payment information is required. Taking into account all the diversity of products, warehouses and final shipment locations across the whole US and world this is the most accurate way for us to provide the best competitive prices (of course, if you find the same part for less we match the prices for you).

I found out from the UPS driver that CarID was making a claim that the items had been damaged in shipping. I made sure UPS knew that did not appear to be the case. The shipping box and packaging were all perfect, the bulb has clearly been burned out at some point and repackaged for sale as new. I did eventually get my refund, but I'm not sure who ended up paying for it, CarID or UPS.
Oh, and I did get follow up from them "Dear Christine, This message is in regards to the negative feedback you have left for our store. Please accept our sincere apology for the unpleasant experience you had with us. I wish we could have a chance to change your opinion about our store and keep you like our happy and returning customer. In the last message I sent to you, I offered you $25.00 gift card as an apology for the inconveniences you have encountered with. Please reply to this message if my offer sounds interesting to you or just let me know if you do not want to get any further emails from me."

This was in response to my posting my review here. I am pretty sure they wanted to bribe me to change my review.

I received defective product that had obviously been returned to them at some point (LED headlight bulbs with brown splotches all over the emitters). I took a photo of it as soon as I opened the box, realizing something was wrong with the bulb. Sure enough, the affected bulb did not light up. I called them right away and was assured a replacement would arrive in 3-5 days, but the email confirmation after the phone call said that I would receive an "answer" to my "defective product request" in 1-2 days. I never heard anything except UPS showed up today apparently looking to pick up the defective product (I was never notified of this). So, I contacted CarID via Chat and basically the agent hung up on me! See the transcript below.

BTW, the product itself was completely misrepresented as "plug and play" for my year and model, and I verified that with their customer service before purchasing (it's not---you need to buy a separate adapter) and also it was supposed to have "no ballast" (but there is a ballast/transformer box and you have to figure out how to make room for it somewhere). Total BS. This appears just to be a drop-shipper misrepresenting products to unsuspecting customers and they'll say anything to make the sale. Avoid them! Here's hoping that I'm able to get a refund; seeing all the bad reviews and horror stories makes me wonder what will be next. Clearly, positive reviews about this company are highly suspect and probably a product of review inflation made during the downtime of their so-called "customer service" agents. Learn from those of us who are taking the time to tell what happened in REAL stories from REAL customers and avoid this place!

I bought rims and both rims they've bent within hours after driving on normal conditions. TSW rims at 1400 a set. Junk. Carid won't return my emails or give me any options to replace or return.

This company is a scam. They run it like a cartel. They are quick to respond here on SiteJabber, but when you contact someone via email, you get no response. I've been waiting over a week for a response. They purposely delay you so that you go over the return times. I should have read the reviews before. This COMPANY WILL ROB YOU. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I had to hire a lawyer this morning. Costing me more than what they've already stolen. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! READ REVIEWS FIRST!

I have spent the better part of a month on this issue. I order 4 wheels, was told only two could be ordered, other two a couple weeks later. My wheels arrived. Ordered the other two a couple weeks ago. Now, I called after i ordered because there was no update. Was told that the only two remaining wheels, were damaged and they were "sourcing" them. Every time I call, I have to explain myself for 20 minutes and nothing is resolved. I have two wheels that I can't install, they have my money for the other two wheels, and all I get is the run around. AVOID THIS COMPANY! Buy somewhere else. It's a scam. Now I'm out $600+ dollars and no wheels. Every call is another ridiculous excuse, and they REFUSE to connect you with a supervisor or manager. BUY-SOMEWHERE ELSE! Report it to your credit card company, as fraud.

Don't order from them

They were happy to take my order, but then after that poor customer service. I ordered over the phone because the website doesn't give enough info on wheels. The salesman was great. I ordered on a Thurs or Fri and was told they would be shipped the following Monday. So now wed rolls around and no shipment or even tracking number. I call them they have no info to give me and ask for 24 hrs to look into it. So Thurs I call back again. Same answer, need 24 hrs to look into it. At that time I told them to cancel the order and they said they would process it. So I go over to BB wheels and order the same wheels from them for $200 less. They shipped from the opposite side of the country. Now it's the 28th and I have those wheels and I get an email that my wheels from carid shipped. I call them and they said there's nothing they can do. I call fed ex and the wheels haven't even been picked up. So I try to cancel the pick up but they won't without a pickup number from carid... which after another phone call they refuse to give me the number.

I placed an order for Window visors for a client. After a week and half passed by I decided to call customer service. They then told me the can no find my order, so I pulled up the order no on pay pal which was my method to pay gave them the number they found it. Then they told be it was not accepted on our end so ups sent it back. Remember I am calling to find out why i have not receive my package. They said call back in 3 days cause they will need to talk to billings. So i gave them a week. To then be told oh we have to wait till our manufacture get the package back to issuer the refund. Remember im still trying to find out who sent back the package. So was told a supervisor will call me back. No call back now to call again to be told sorry sir since you rejected the visors we can not issue a refund? What so you telling me you getting back this package we need to then be told we cant have a refund. So i hung up and called back to then be told we can give you $15.00 gift card WTFFFF. Listen all my $87.00usd which is $120.00CAN i would like it back since you have the package we need. Still they state no refunds. Never ever buying from them again

After receiving and installing a new set of Lumen LED replacements it was determined that one light was defective. I was directed to destroy the installed light before a replacement would be sent and I explained that this would require disassembling the lighting, wheel liners etc. 3 times and requested that a new light be sent out to allow for removal/replacement at one time and then provide pictures of the destroyed defective light. They refused to accommodate so I requested a full refund for a return due to their lack of customer service and was directed to send photos of both units destroyed. Ordering another pair of lights from another retailer and will change out once I receive and destroy the product from CARID for a refund.
They will pass you form one person to another and never follow back up.

Sure they may have competitive prices but if your order has an issue good luck... this was my last order I'll ever place. Buyer beware their customer service is awful

CAR ID is a scam

I ordered 4 wheels and tires, mounted and balanced, for over $4K. I received them with cheap "Snap-In" valve stems that were NOT the aluminum "Clamp-On" type specified by their advertisement, and though they looked like crummy discount garbage (ugly black, and FAR too long for the application), I couldn't afford having my vehicle out of service any longer to send them back for the correct parts I purchased to be installed, so I soldiered on.

Three weeks later, I was forced to take the vehicle to a mechanic to see why 3 of the new tires were losing 2-4lbs of air per week, and one wheel 5-10lbs OVERNIGHT. $140 and one new valve stem later, my mechanic informs me that the remaining 3 valve stems are also defective. THAT'S FOUR DEFECTIVE VALVE STEMS NOT OF THE TYPE ORIGINALLY SPECIFIED. CAR ID's solution to this issue?..."Here's a $90 refund, and four new valve stems." TOTAL SLAP IN THE FACE.

But wait, there's MORE! After waiting 3 weeks for the delivery of the replacement valve stems, I come to find out that the 4 cheap-$#*!, incorrectly installed, and defective "Snap-In" valve stem & TPMS sensor are each one-piece units, while the correct "Clamp-In" valve stem replacements are a two piece setup. Soooo... after yet ANOTHER another frustrating song and dance with CAR ID, I HOPE to get, in a MINIMUM OF ANOTHER 3 WEEKS, the TPMS sensors specific to the new "Clamp-In" valve stem units THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE REPLACEMENTS!

NEVER AGAIN! NEVERAGAIN!

I ordered four (4) new Bilstein 5100 shocks for my truck (not cheap shocks). I received 3 Bilstein 5100s and 1 Bilstein 4600. I called CARID customer "service" and was told they would need 3 to 5 business days to issue a return authorization, then I would have to ship it back to them (another 3-5 days) before they would issue a refund, and they would NOT refund my shipping costs.
This would result in a huge delay, that of course they were "sorry" about, but still amazingly…. Unwilling to correct. I explained that I am self-employed and could not wait and I was upset that CARID screwed up and I would be forced to be inconvenienced, and pay shipping for their mistake. I was told they were "Sorry" of course that is meaningless, but not "Sorry" enough to correct this. So, I told them they should instead just send me a return authorization for ALL of them. The return will not cover shipping costs – so ultimately THEIR mistake will cost me ten days of lost time, and $50 in shipping that I do NOT get refunded.
I will not do business with or give my money to, any company that has such LOW REGARD for its customers…and I suggest you find a better company to deal with, maybe one that offers solutions instead of meaningless platitudes and worthless apologies.

Wrong part in box…

I ordered a McLeod clutch kit. Was not able to get car worked on for a couple months. Once it was in the shop is when it came to light that we have the right box but the wrong clutch inside. Spoke to McLeod to verify. They said I had to go through CARID. I contacted them today. The representative said there was nothing they would do since it was beyond 30 days. I should just sell it on Ebay. Um, how would you like me to sell apart that I dont know what vehicle it would work for? Its not the correct clutch in the box. I just want to send this back & get correct one. Nope. Passed the 30 days. So I am out $353 because of a packaging problem out of my control. Ridiculous to say the least. I also have a car sitting on a lift while I get another clutch so we can put it back together. Thanks for nothing CARID…

I ordered some truck bed tie down anchors based on their web site saying they were compatible with my 2019 RAM 1500. When I received the item I discovered that they were in fact not compatible. I called their customer service who admitted that they had an error on their web site incorrectly stating that the items were compatible. They said I would get the return authorization with in 72 hours. It's been 16 days and several emails and still no return. There are easier companies to purchase from, I wouldn't recommend buying from this company if you find other options.

I ordered a "pendaliner bed liner" from CarID. When I received the item, it was totally damaged. It looked as if something had crushed one side of the bedliner. I also was missing the tailgate pad which was supposed to be included.

It item arrived at 1PM on a wednesday while I was at work. I was not given any advance notice on when it would arrive. When it arrived, a family member signed for it, and notified me it was here. When I got home, I saw the damage I took pictures and immediately contacted CARID. CarID basically told me to go screw myself. They stated that because it had been signed for, I had effectively waived any right to claim that it was damaged or missing pieces.

I was appalled. Not only did I receive a damaged item, but it was also missing a part, and CarID did absolutely NOTHING to help me. I have never before dealt with a company with such little care for their customers. Now I have a useless piece of plastic sitting in my garage and unless my credit card company can help me out, I am out 325$.

This was my first and last purchase from CarID. I am REALLY kicking myself for not just paying the 75$ extra to order the part from the dealership. This is one of the biggest mistakes in online ordering I have ever made. I will never buy another item from CarID, and I hope my review convinces others not to as well. I would attach pictures to this review, but I keep getting a "file size is too large" error that prevents that.

From what I see, the order was placed with the assistance of our agents who informed you about the peculiarities of a freight shipment: "the box and the part inside must be inspected upon delivery and signed as damaged if any harm is located". This is the only way for us to submit the damage claim with the shipping carrier and proceed with either refund or replacement for you with no questions asked. The information about freight delivery is also shown during the order processing as a pop-up disclaimer.

If the damage was located afterward, the recipient can only mark the concealed damage by reporting directly to the Freight Shipping Carrier.

In this particular case, the shipping carrier has proof that the product was received in a good condition and signed for. Still, we will do everything possible to help you out with this situation.

Ordered a part cancelled the order paid with paypal part was 30.00 us and shipping 45.00 now they want 25.00 us for import fees from ups. Even though I cancelled they say its not a guarantee to cancel!
I am now going to file a dispute with paypal! Complete ripoff artists stay away!

Be Aware of what you order, I ordered one bull bar, I specifically order the broadfeet bull bar because I liked the design even though it was more expensive of another bull bar without the design, I even talked to Allan and he told me it did have the design, So, I get my bull bar, it is the same exact bull bar and the less expensive bull bar, with no design. I had even paid someone to put it on for me, so the day I got mine I called and left a message for Allan and wanted to know how they would fix it I even sent pictures of the bar I got via email. I was a little surprised when he didn't return my call that day. So the long story short, Sunday came and so did the guy who was installing it so I really had no choice but to install it. Monday, called and left another message for Allan no return call again. So be careful and know what you order, this company will do a bait and switch on you. Also, the brackets that came with this bull bar are very weak, I am going to have to take it back off and beef the brackets up, they are not strong enough and just by leaning on them you can move the bull bar because of the flimsy brackets. See the difference in bull bars.

Horrible Experience
October 7, 2021

I ordered a set of Savini Wheels/tires through CARiD and after I placed the order, they mistakenly sent 2 tires to my home address and 1 tire to my office address which I never even gave them. Keep in mind, none of the tires should have been sent to me. They were supposed to go to their warehouse where they mount the tires on the wheels before shipping to me. It took over a month for them to get the shipping fiasco handled and a lot of hassle on my end trying to help them get the tires to the right place. They also quoted me 5-6 weeks build time for the wheels, but they did not arrive until 12 weeks AND to top if off, the wheels did not fit properly. For some reason, the manufacturer decided to install the valve stems on the inside of the wheel, behind the spokes. Because of this, the valve stems hit the brake calipers, making the wheels unable to rotate freely. They told me the only way the wheels would now fit is if I installed flush mount valve stems (with the installation at my expense). This also meant that in order to put air in the tires, the wheels have to be removed... Who would buy wheels that you have to take off to put air in?! This should have been disclosed to be beforehand if that was the case.
They also installed TPMS (tire pressure sensors) that were not compatible with my car. After weeks of calls and emails to them, I just got the run around but eventually they offered to send me a different set of sensors for me to swap out with the labor also being at my expense. I never did receive the new sensors so I was just living with it. Then after the wheels had been on the car for about 2 months, TWO OF THE SPOKES CRACKED all the way through. I found this out when I took my car to the dealer because of noise/vibration coming from the front left wheel. They said the wheel was too dangerous to drive on and that it could have broken apart while driving. Had this have happened at high speed, I could've got in an accident or even killed. The wheels had stress fractures because they were not strong enough to handle the power of my totally stock car. I had to put my old wheels back on the car because the new ones proved to be unsafe. I notified CARiD of the structural failure and they did not bother to even respond. So now I have a set of useless wheels sitting in my garage. I have since filed a chargeback with my credit card company. There were mistakes made by both CARiD and Savini and they just kept placing the blame on eachother, leaving me hanging out to dry. Bottom line, I spent a lot of money for custom wheels that I can't even use due to improper engineering. Be warned, they are quick to take your money, but as soon as something go awry, they do not stand behind their products.

The lady said over and over again, the right item will be sent again. The wrong item just arrived today. My wife and I really needed this and the lady doesn't know what's she's talking about. Aqua Max does not work as good as Aqua Kem. We wanted Aqua Kem.

I filed a refund as i never recieved my package. After almost 2 months of waiting and calling i was told my refund would only take 3 days. Months pass by then i am told i am not getting a refund and there's nothing they can do about it. Wtf kind of customer service is this?

Don't waste your time or your money shopping on CARID. I wish i didn't... I had ordered a Flowmaster exhaust system from these guys and it came quickly which was awesome! Issue rises about 3 weeks after installing a bunch of rust was appearing on the exhaust the welds on the exhaust look as if they're rusting through already. Upon CARID review I was told warranty does not cover normal wear and tear. When I asked them what is considered normal wear and tear I got the run around from literally everyone I talked to. Now they claim they have reached out to the manufaturer to see if warranty is covered from them... Still no word back 2 weeks later. Just the run around with these guys... Spend the extra money to buy your products at a company that actually cares about its customers.

Really bad service
October 4, 2021

I bought a car seat from her ID I ordered it in white I am mediately was sent out a black seat it didn't match my car interior. They have never sent me an RMA yet to this day I'm still waiting for one the car seat was supposed to be returned it they promised me that send me a Return authorization and they never did I'm still dealing with this big car seat in my living room to this day they still haven't taken it back the bank everyone is involved don't order anything from them order it from cipher direct somebody else. Huge fail car ID bad service I wouldn't recommend you to anyone

Poor customer service
October 4, 2021

I ordered a set of wheels 13 September, I received a phone call from one of your staff and he said I needed to agree with a document they sent me because it was a special order. I was driving so I told him I would check as soon I got home. I checked and I had no emails from Carid so I called your company and talked to a Jorge. I explained what had happened and he said they had sent 3 emails today. I told him I didn't receive and he said that I had to have received. I told him I was looking at my email and I didn't receive. Then he told me to calm down if I wanted to work with him. First I was already calm and all I was trying to do was find out where my wheels were. Then he verified my email and you all were sending the email to the wrong address. After he verified my address and sent I received and completed the required information you needed and returned to you. I don't need to be accused of having a problem and told to calm down. He doesn't know me and what my tones are. All I know i it was extremely poor customer service and now I worried about getting the correct order and it not taking another month.
