I second commenters that have said that Canva 2.0 is awful. I use Canva often, as I have a resume/cover letter document that I edit frequently to tailor to specific job openings. These modifications used to take a matter of minutes. They now can take hours, as Canva 2.0 is finicky. It does not keep text consistent when copy and pasting, it moves elements that are impossible to accurately replace, and a whole host of other annoyances. Very dissatisfied with this upgraded version.
We enjoy using Canva for team design collaboration for our startup business. The ability to collaborate and organize in folders is nice, as well as the designs and features available for use. However, sometimes the website doesn't show the correct thumbnails of the design that has been edited and can be glitchy switching between the desktop and mobile app. We are a startup business (www.sbia1.com) but mainly use Canva for promoting our social content on our platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn.
I cancelled pro plan. And they turn around three days later took the money out of my account at 12:04am. All they have to say is this matter is closed. Of course it is they got what they wanted. Now i have to change accounts because who is to say they wont do it again.
I use Canva to create my personal and business Facebook Banners, Instagram promotion content, invoice creation, YouTube Banners and thumbnails, Planner Pages and sooo much more! Using Canva has helped me gain a much more professional presence online. There is both a free edition as well as a monthly/yearly membership option. You can also cancel anytime should you need to. There are so many things you can create on Canva and I love its easy to use format. Canva has tons of free, premade templates that are so easy to customize.
If you click on another design accidentally then it overwrites whatever you were working on previously. Ideally, the undo button should work and revert the design back to whatever you were working on, but it did not and so I lost my resume. Huge flaw in the website design.
Nice toy, nothing more, nothing less. The free version is fine for some playing around, but if you get serious on design you better join Adobe CC. More expensive, but don't forget if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. But even the price is not peanuts.
I registered for a free trial just for grins for myself, not a company and ended up never up using it - and yet these people just charged me $119. For a full subscription! Now i can't get anyone's attention to reverse it!
Absolutely Terrible Experience! I bought the Canva service to make thumbnails for YouTube apps and quickly realised that the product wasn't good enough. I cancelled my subscription but was still debited £10.99 from my account. I contacted my bank who said that the subscription is still running. At this point I thought it might have been a genuine mistake so I asked the bank to cancel the subscription from their end; and also asked canva to cancel again. However I just checked my account and since then £10.99 has been debited again twice more from my account! I'm not sure how they are able to do this! Be extremely weary before purchasing this product; it's better not to buy this because you will be stuck later. It is actually a Scam and if you are not careful enough they will keep charging you for a service you don't use.
I'm really disappointed that I haven't heard from Canva support team regarding my money return request. This is such a corporate organization but taking my money and no upgrade and being asked for money return and no reply.
Update... My wife paid for a year subscription to Canva in full. She cancelled a month prior to her subscription ending so she wouldn't be charge for another year. Instead of letting her finish out the year, they refunded the portion of the year and she lost access to all of her work. When she requested that they give her the final month of the year she paid for they said no and made her pay for a month at a higher price. The mistake was on their end and they are not willing to help a paying customer.
I had a horrible experience with cancelling my trial subscription and was charged two or three extra months and had to request a refund each time to get my money back. Good product, horrible customer service. No phone number or chat service, only email support.
No free form options, no local storage, the formatting options are very limited. If you are going to use it for free, don't expect much, and if you are going to pay, anything else would be better. I recommend Adobe
Somehow Canva found a way to charge my credit card their premium subscription fee of $119.99. I never completed the billing process, I was on their site viewing pricing. Next thing I know I have a charge of $119.99 on my card. I requested a refund and was told refund request received, it will take 10-20 days to see the money back on my card. It took less than 24 hours to take it but 10-20 days for them to put it back.
I thought I was exaggerating over it but now I see people comments and it's crearly that CANVA is not reliable at all. I was charged before 30 days with the "free trial" which is not free at all, you have to pay eitherway for 50% of the icons. They offer help in their website and is all a lie, they do not respond to the emails you send to them. If they keep charging me I will go to the police.
If I could give zero stars I would. I used Canva one time and deactivated myaccount. Months later I get charged $200. They have no customer service number to call and when I go to the website to get this corrected it refuses to let me log in because I deactivated my account, and it refuses to let me sign up again because I already used my email with them before. So I get no resolution and have to hope the bank will fix this for me instead.
I use this website to make "book covers" for my poems and or fanfics but one thing that plagues to me to absolutely no end is how buggy the site is. Really, this website seems to randomly stop working and then I have to refresh the page constantly to get it back up. I'm sick of it.
The only thing going for it is the fact that it's relatively free to use and that's about it. If not for that, I'd have stopped using it.
And, no, the admins haven't bothered at all to fix it.
I set up an account with this awful site for a moment about 9 months ago. Since that time I have cancelled it more times than I care to remember, and still every month there is a charge to my credit card. Multiple emails to their non-existent customer service and STILL a monthly charge. Called AMEX to block the charges... and still a monthly charge. STAY AWAY!
Took money for an annual subscription I didn't sign up to, no response when leaving a message to complain and ask for a refund on the cancelled subscription, clearly theft as I'm not going to use the account and would never have signed up to a year's subscription I wasn't going to use. Should be an opt in service and a cancellation period!
I had a great deal of fun with the Canva free trial! I've been a user for a month now. I will be a returning customer, and plan to make full use of the tutorials. I found it most useful to make simple SVG projects.
This software is so unbelievably lacking in basic features of Word and is so incredibly glitchy that it has taken me probably 5 times as long to create a report in canva as I could have in Word or Powerpoint. You can't even use superscripts, something very common in "reports"! Don't get me started on the frustrating cursor glitches or the way it randomly pauses saving your file (another time suck - redoing work!). Just don't use this. I am doing a free trial and praying that they don't take my money like other reviewers on here have suggested. Ugghhhh.
My free trial was not supposed to end until 6/4/21 but my bank account shows a transaction pending to come out on May 31st. I signed up for the monthly plan of $12.99 but was charged for the entire year. It is most frustrating that there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE to contact to resolve the issue. Seems very sketchy. I will be requesting a refund from Canva AND will contact my bank to dispute the charge. I will also NEVER recommend this platform to anyone in my entrepreneur or business communities.
Answer: That was one of my issues. No active link to cancel the free trial subscription.
Answer: There is zero support. Until they do something about it, don't begin with them. Try Snappa instead.
