The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Need a special cable, That newest 4K UHD flat screen. Go to Best Buy first they have it before anyone else!
I've never been helped the way Tina helped me. She was polite, respectful and very acknowledging. By far the best costumer service I have received! Thanks!
I always get help when I need it. I only shop in the stores and I have purchased everything from a dryer to a frig. I also always get help in the store with a friendly staff.
I purchased a Galaxy S7 with the VR goggles wish I had read the reviews but what a piece of junk, error messages I finally decided to return the phone. I went to our local Best Buy and the sales person said that I had to ship it back the way I got it, Well I asked for the manager the manager tried to pull the same thing, but at the bottom of my receipt it states if you are not happy you can return to any store. The manager was pissed but took it with my receipt in hand I left. I waited a week and there was no credit Got paypal involved what ever the dude at Paypal said with in 2 days the credit showed up thanks Paypal.
Despite rarely ordering from the site, when there is something, more specifically an Amiibo, in stock I'm looking for, the order is processed and taken care of, and usually at my door, within a week.
My biggest plus is definitely how well packaged they are. Other sites like Amazon cram them in small boxes, and yet there is more than enough space in Best Buy's boxes.
This is long overdo, but in January, a year ago, we went into a Best Buy and ordered a dishwasher, and another high ticket item, that we found on their website. On the delivery day, we get two conflicting texts, bottom line is they have no more machines, since they dropped ours that morning., and the other said it is on it's way here. The new delivery date was 6 weeks later, and we had already waited 4 weeks. I called and talked to the store itself, where we were fed more lies, and then I called corporate headquarters. The lovely lady yessed me to death, made nice, and that was the last I ever heard from her, despite assurances that she'd call back as their computers were down. I gave up and bought the machine locally, from an independent that delivered that weekend. Fabulous machine, by the way.
Lack of Customer Service and long waits in the checkout line
Their so called experts gave us the run around on audio and had to return our items 3 different times
I bought an Asus UX305FA at BestBuy and the screen had a glitch in the top right corner. The colour was turning to green after the laptop worked for about 2 hours. When I brought it back to the shop they said I broke the laptop myself and refused to take it back.
On April 6th I ordered a Playstation 3 game for my son from the Best Buy website and am just now receiving an e-mail stating that it is about to be shipped (April 12th). Not that it was shipped... just that there was a shipping label created for it. I'm not sure what the delay was, but that seems like a very long time for something to be shipped out, especially from such a large company. I had ordered several items from other online stores on the same day, all of which have arrived, and this package hasn't even left the warehouse. I had ordered a tie and dress socks from Europe on the 6th as well, and it's pretty sad that both packages will likely arrive around the same time. Ridiculous...
I have viewed looked at electronics in this store. They have lots of items there. Just becareful on your prices.
I recently purchased NR545 from Canadian Best Buy. I'm very satisfied with sound quality of this receiver. Price was also very reasonable and very comparable to prices in the USA. Best Buy has good customer service. The only caveat is that you have to be a bit vigilent as some of their sales staff are too creative. They may sell you 'extra warranty' that you may not want to purchase, but they would make it too lucrative for you to resist. They would blend it in the price of your product and make it a package deal which Best Buy calls it a "Kit Price". For example, a $60 warranty for your $500 product they may offer you this "Kit" for $520. But the 'extra warranty' is not refundable. This means that in case you you return the product for a refund, they would not refund the warranty price which in fact was $60. Thus for your $520 purchase, you would be refunded $460. This is because when that sales person rung the cash register, he entered $460 for your product, not $500 which was in fact the original price of your product and which you thought you paid. By making that warranty as part of a package deal, he adjusted the price to $460 and entered $60 for the warranty for a total of $520 that you paid. Thus the $60 dollar warranty would appear as $20. So, when you buy from Best Buy, make sure the cash register slip is showing the correct price of your purchase. Using the price example above, a proper slip would show two items - one for $500 (the main product) and other $20 extra warranty, total $520.
I went a few weeks ago to buy a keyboard for my disabled son. It was "on sale" with $40 off coming to a total of $89.00 after the $40.00 discount.
Thinking the return was good for 30 days, and having my son who has a heart condition having to go to the hospital for a week, I thought that I could return it afterwards. Boy was I wrong.
The managers at Best Buy were horrid. They all ganged up on me and told me they could not refund even though I had the original receipt, the original box, and it had only been out for a few minutes for my son to see that it was too heavy and the keys were harder to use.
The employees would not budge and I was not leaving without my nearly $100.00 as I have bought many things from Best Buy over the years and thought this was ridiculous.
I cry when I am angry. They managed to have me standing, trying to get in touch with corporate, and crying! I called over and over again as I would either get outsourced to another country or get disconnected.
Finally, I reached customer service who told me this was wrong. Finally, after almost an hour of going through this ridiculous treatment after having worked all day, a manager finally gave me a refund.
I know I won't go back again.
Best Buy is very alluring with its large array of exciting electronics. However, they use tricks to get customers into high interest debt, and they also use tricks to avoid standing behind their warranties.
I should have learned when they wouldn't return a printer that stopped working after only a year not to buy anything from them. I bought my son wireless headphones there less than six months ago and the one headphone cracked for no reason but since I didn't have a protection plan it wasn't covered. Anywhere else would have returned it at under a year old. When I questioned why they don't stand behind the products they sell. Their response is they do if you buy a protection plan. Why should something break with less than six months use. With that philosophy I will never purchase a product from them again.
Another place I can spend hours at, they have computers, music equipment, tv's, cell phones, DVD's, and much more, great place for a guy to hang out at, and service is pretty good
Its a interesting site. If you give some time they will surprise you with their service and products.
I am falling in love with them
Nice to have a retail spot to see things in person before buying
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
