I've shopped Best Buy for many, many years and believe it or not, never had an issue with anything I've bought! I don't think I can say that about very many places. Their workers are so knowledgeable and friendly, I know, there's always a few that aren't so much! But if one isn't helping enough you can bet that there will be another that will in no time! I've found them to be very honest with me about which is a better deal or product. They don't try to sell me the most expensive, just share what they know and what the customers find to be the best buy for their money. I like that they have so many employees at each store so it's never a problem getting help or asking questions. Their prices are competitive, and they'll even buy back and give you credit towards something new! Love that part! I think I've bought every piece of electronics and appliances I own there. I'm one to shop around for the best deal and it keeps bringing me back to Best Buy. Plus I don't think I've ever had to pay for shipping on an item, so why go out if it's delivered right to your door? I know they've had to close several stores, I just hope they don't close mine! Highly recommend.
I bought a laptop at Best Buy. I had a problem that they kept my laptop for a few months trying to get it fixed. But when they couldn't in time they replaced it and gave me a credit. So they are a company that takes care of there customers. Good Job Best Buy.
When cable went all digital on April 2016 we bought an antenna for my fathers room since with a digital box we couldn't control that my dad would fall sleep with the tv on all day since the boxes don't have timers, anyway I bought the most expensive one which is over one hundred dollars but it didn't work amd even with the receipt in the original box, Best Buy will not give me even store credit after this awful experience we went with the digital cable and 2 controls. Be very careful with this merchant, I WAS a long time customer but no more.
I had a great price on Amazon for LG Bluetooth Device for $89 and Best Buy sold it for $149.99. They matched Amazon's price and the clerk treated me well.

Has always been my offline electronic store of preference. Every time i am looking for electronics, it is at best buy where i actually find it and at a very good price. People there are very professional and work motivated, so you are never on your own.
I don't think I will buy a TV on ebay, from Best Buy. I had trouble with a 4K TV and I need the sales receipt to get it fixed. If I had bought directly from Best Buy I don't think it would have been a problem.

After about an hour of heated conversation with the customer service person, his manager and the store manager, and a getting larger by the minute crowd listening, they finally refunded my money. I have not been back in any of their stores since.
There is always someone nearby to help and they ask you A LOT if you need help with anything. It just seems like they have less and less of a selection every time you go in and the selection they DO have is way overpriced. I have gotten some nice, long lasting items from there and it has some great quality electronics, but where are the rare Amiibos and stock that was great before?

I will never shop there again. I had to go back twice because they sold me equipment that did not match what I asked for. The store I went to is in an enormous shopping center, and I had a very hard time finding the store. The voice mail said it was "next to...[another store]". It was no where near that store. I kept trying to get a real person at Best Buy, and was on Hold forever. When real person finally answered, they were not able to give me coherent directions. Best Buy is a crock.

Best Buy reminds me of Crazy Eddie. The site is in existence because of its well known stores. The merchandise is overpriced and who wants to go through the hassle of disputing prices after the fact. Avoid this mouse trap.

Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
