The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

The Best Buy in my area is terrible. Every computer item I purchased from them was at least 3-4 years old and I couldn't get updated drivers for them. Also many of their appliances are also old models. I haven't had one product that I've bought from Best Buy that lasted. It should be called Worst Buy.
They have good service and up to date on their products. Very pleased with them. Keep up the good work.
We bought a new TV and they took away our old televisions, one was very large, for a minimal amount of money.
I bought two sonos sound systems and paid to have the Geek Squad come out and install them. They gave me a 4 hour window and never showed up. No phone call, no email, nothing. I later got an email suggesting that I reschedule on line. I rescheduled for the following Saturday between 8 AM and Noon. The following Saturday they were a no show again! 8 hours of my life wasted. I called and talked to a supervisor. They apologized and promised they would be out the following Saturday and would make me the first stop at 8 AM so I don't have to wait another 4 hours. Its now 9:15 AM and I haven't seen them. I will never use Best Buy or Geek Squad again. The worst service experience ever!
Haven't had any issues ordering from them. Always good products
Got my speaker case fast and it was on clearance too.
I LOVE Best Buy. By Far, favorite store ever! Now they even price match anything online too... Their staff for the most part are actually knowledgeable... and if you get help from someone that's not sure, an expert for the particular field is found easily. Their warranty offerings are also way better than any manufacturer's warranty and they stand behind them strongly.
Best deal online for Apple products. Shipped free in two days!
Shop Amazon and then go to Best Buy. They price match.
I never shop here after buying a computer and having to return it. They charged me a restocking fee. No thanks.
Not all my experiences with Geek Squad have been negative, I have to say I've been helped by two techs in particular who were friendly and very helpful, but I would only ever use Geek Squad as a last resort.
I recently went to them because my computer was acting up. After being unable to make any fixes during the consultation, the guy told me for $150 I can have my computer diagnosed and that would take maybe a week. I'm a college student and this was around finals so having a week without my computer was unacceptable. The tech also tried to convince me how great it would be because they would include or have something about online/phone/in-store support. That's absolutely useless for me and I told the guy as much.
My boyfriend looked at my system and almost completely fixed my issues. My complaint isn't that I would have to pay for the service, I understand what a business is, but for $198 I bought a tablet computer to use for work while keeping my slow/iffy computer for casual internet browsing and gaming rather than shell out $150 and maybe get my problem fixed. I have a feeling their fix would involve restoring my system and having my lose all my stuff unnecessarily.
Again, I don't doubt that these people can fix your systems, but I always feel like I'm getting ripped off.
Your products are all rejects that Amazon doesn't want, AND you have the nerve to charge double the price when Amazon even saves me the trip to the store by delivering QUALITY items to my door in two days. Time to close up shop you worthless excuse for a retail store!
Excellen Insignia TV. 48 inch and it is as good as - if not better than my Samsung which was more than twice the price for the same size and features.
Glad to get a antenna to help.me watch tv, without a contract. Getting to pay less money each month.
They do have most things one could need/want as far as electronics. Prices are fair, comparable to other stores, and customer service is excellent.

Even they offer price match during the return period, they will do whatever they want not to match even a dollar for your purchase. You will not be able to find a customer service e-mail address, or talk with the manager on the phone. Well, I talk with the manager of West Hollywood, CA, and actually he was extremely rude, and unhelpful to me. So, it would be better not to talk with one of those, though. When one see bad businesses, understands why good businesses are really good.
We selected the product based on Consumer Reports information so this is not a review of the product (Maytag washer and dryer). This is a review of the Best Buy personnel that installed the washer and dryer.
The delivery installation individuals damaged the dryer the first time they delivered it. They attempted to talk me into accepting the damaged dryer but I refused. The washer installation went OK. The installer only used channel locks and a power screw driver. Using channel locks on nylon feet for the dryer rounded them and made them look like a dog had chewed on them. They hit the dryer with the truck life gate and then pushed the dryer (before the feet were installed) across the pavement to get it clear of the lift gate scratching the paint off on the bottom of the dryer and chipping in three places the paint on the bottom edge of the dryer. If I wanted damaged goods Id have purchased damaged goods and saved some money.
Second installation of the dryer the Best Buy delivery people crushed in the aluminum back of the dryer attempting to put the nylon feet on again. In an attempt to stop the installation person from using channel locks again (even after I asked him not too) I gave him my crescent wrench. He looked at it like hed never seen one and was unable to use it properly (kept slipping off because he did not adjust it correctly). So, I installed the nylon feet. They got it in the house but kinked the gas line and crushed my vent tube that the dryer attached too.
I accepted this installation because I did not want to see this individual a third time. I had to replace the vent tube that they crushed and gas line they messed up.
The product is fine the Best Buy installation individuals were terrible and Ill never by anything from Best Buy that I cannot carry out of the store myself in the future. The sad part is the price of the washer and dryer was the same at Best Buy, Sears, Home Depot and Frys.
On November 26 I went to my local best buy store to check out there selection of laptops. With the help of the store associate I found the one that suited my needs. They did not have one in stock so the associate ordered one giving me a pick up date of December first. On December first i contacted the store to see if my order had arrived, (Horrible automated customer service. I was hung up on twice after spending 30 minutes on hold) and I was informed that they had oversold this product and did not have one to give me to complete the transaction. Now if i was a car salesman and sold one car to two different people I think i would be in trouble legally and my reputation would be damaged.
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
