I was 50/50 going to buy from Dreams or Bensons. Unfortunately for me, I opted for Bensons as in-store I had chosen a firm mattress, which felt perfect at the time. I also purchased a stain guard in case it got stained (as they do). Turned up ok and was great until about 6 months later when it started going badly out of shape. This was £700 so not a cheap one.It was a twist not flip design so weight goes in middle as expected. I am around 90kgs. The bed has a warranty of 5 years. So after this happened I went into store who said call the aftersales team. I did when I said the issue they said a different number you need to call? It wasn't it was correct they couldn't be bothered. So went back into the store and they emailed HQ with no reply. So again I called and got given an email to send in pictures, which surprise surprise they said 'is within tolerance'. This dip with no weight on they deemed fine via a photo. Also adding that because of the stain (yes I did purchase the warranty), it was void anyway! Seriously, just AVOID this shop 100%. The aftersales is so bad. I am now looking to claim against these jokers. It is not a shop it is a con merchant. Please go elsewhere, they do not deserve your hard earned!
Good salesman decent patter... delivery on time. But damaged goods & the guys that put the bed together had no tools? So the ottoman had to be reordered got a date of the 9th if December... rang me on the 7th to say they didnt have tha new part. Rang to get some kind of sense on the situation I've been promised a phone call before this weekend. Im not holding my breath. Wish I'd listened to the people who advised me not to use this company...
2 premium mattresses from them. Both very uncomfortable, not at all like the one in the showroom. Use the same excuse over and over, that's because lots of people have been laying on them. Disagree completely. If that was the case they would be sagging, not sumptuous andabd very comfortable. Also there us the question of covid. Being told the mattresses had been on the shop floor for over a year, health and safety surely? People with covid could have laid on them disgusting service, should have gone somewhere else. Homeserve will never admit there us a manufacturing fault. All a scam.

I purchased a igel advanced 2500 back in November 2021 for a delivery date of 1st February but it never arrived so I contacted customer support for them to tell me they was very sorry that it has not arrived and that the mattress, headboard and pullows are ready for delivery just not the base.
They then said the bed will arrive on the 23rd March, today is the 23rd of March and the bed has not arrives so I have just got off the phone to customer support for them to tell me the bed will be delivered on the 6th April and there is nothing they can do apart from offer me a good gesture of will when the bed finally arrives.
I would avoid bensons and go elsewhere or get used to sleeping on the floor.
Dreadful experience.
Paid ahead and waited over a month for delivery date.
A truck with 2 chaps arrived and delivered the new bed, but despite reminders failed to remove the old mattress despite us paying for this service.
Phoned the store, they told us someone would be back in an hour. They weren't then they told us they couldn't collect and would refund, leaving us with a mattress in the garage for a fortnight and our car parked on the road.
Raised with Bensons store, then with their customer services. They weren't interested in the slightest and did nothing to fix the situation.
I wouldn't support Bensons ever again.
I bought a bed from bensons, they kept delivering the wrong bed, it took 4 deliverys over 3 months and numerous phone calls to get the bed delivered, no apology for all the days I had to have off for deliveries, and dont bother with ombudsman as that is a complete waste of time, they are obviously paid by bensons, all in all Ive never had such treatment from a business, when I ordered the bed they wouldnt let me pay by credit card, I assume this is because you have more protection paying by credit card
Unable to give any stars but had to submit 1 to post review, given a choice it would of been no stars as no customer service has been given. I have also taken into consideration the present climate and have been incredibly patient with waiting for this delivery, but after ordering my wardrobe back in March with 8 cancelled delivery dates and a text today with yet another cancelled date for tomorrow I am finally at breaking point. To top it off they have now rebooked delivery for 24/12/20, not that I expect this to happen as I'm more likely to have 3 wise men turn up on my door step than the delivery from Bensons, and who honestly wants a flat packed wardrobe delivered xmas eve! Don't get me wrong, I'd stick tinsel on it if it turned up. Which it won't. Will try and contact them again tomorrow, not by email as they don't reply, and not through the shop as they can't help either, it'll have to be their wonderful answering service when you press 1, then 2 then another number only to be told they're closed. My daughter who is waiting for this wardrobe will have left home before they actually get round to delivering it, she'll probably have had a couple of kids and got married by then too...
My partner and I visited the Worcester branch - we had looked online and knew exactly what we wanted and our budget. The salesman was informative and helpful; unfortunately this is where any positive feedback starts and ends. We explained that the mattress was for our static caravan and needed said item before the end of the season - we were told that this was not a problem, however a few days before the delivery date we were contacted to say that the order would be delayed by a couple of weeks due to supply and demand. We were disappointed but decided to go ahead as the new date was just within our deadline and we had already paid in full. A few days before the second delivery date we were contacted to say that again there were issues and our order would be delayed.
At this point, we had missed our window and explained that if we continued with the delivery we would have to make an unscheduled visit at our expense - we were appeased and told that we would not be let down. We received a text to say that the mattress would be delivered but due to past experience I contacted the store (day before) to confirm and explain that we would be making a long journey for the delivery.
We patiently waited with repeated checks to ensure that the driver was not lost etc. As the final hour approached I contacted the store and was told not only that the mattress would not be delivered, it had not been loaded and would be delayed for a fourth time.
The sales team apologised and explained that they are not updated with regards to deliveries etc. I explained that I had taken the extra precaution of contacting them the previous day to explain the long journey that would be made but this seemed to be dismissed with the offer of a refund.
Absolutely, no confidence in Bensons for Beds - very unprofessional, lack of communication and total disregard for the inconvenience caused!
I ordered a bed at £699 from Bensons and was told they would call back inside two hours. No call. It took me a day to get in touch with them and guess what? It woulld take 25 days to deliver. What? Nearly a month. Money back please. I emailed a cancel order as well as saying this over the phone. A week passed, no money. I phoned. We have not got your email or cancel order notification. I typed one up there and then, yes we have it now. Ok when do I get my money back? It takes a week to process then up to five days to pay it back.
I know this is a German/South African company, but we are talking from an order placed on 30/5 and no chance of a refund until at least 19/6. Not exactly German effiency is it? More like Shanty Town traders.
I bough the same bed delivery within five days £100 cheaper from Floors and Snores in Garforth, Leeds so it just goes to show does it not?
Bensons wanted £15 to unpack it and put it together and they do not take old beds away.
F and S free delivery, free assembly £10 to take old away unless you want to pay £20 to the council... You would be better off with Benson and Hedges at least you know where you are with lung cancer, unlike Bensons Beds, who I suggest should go back to South Africa.
The worst company and customer service ever. The delivery lasted about 40 seconds, with one guy trying to carry the bed upstairs on his own while the other one was not even bothered to enter the house. Having the box thrown over his shoulders like a Terminator, he stuck halfway through. Without thinking decided it couldnt fit, started taking photographs to prove his inability to deliver and shut out of the house, taking all the goods. We tried the shop, customer service to ask why they had taken it away. The answer was " We do not know".
We tried to reschedule the delivery- another month to wait for the goods that we are meant to pay over 3k for, which are ready, but happily travelling around the Great Britain instead. The shop assistant rude and not willing to listen, the customer service incooperative. Once we said we wish to cancel as you have failed to deliver the goods that should have been left in our house, we wete told we must pay £600 for restocking fee. Absolutely appoulling! This is utterly your failure! Is this your company's "policy" of earning additional cash charging people 20% for failing to deliver goods and services? Is it your custum to pretend that you cannot fullfil your duty? I seriously do not understand why you have taken the goods without willing to communicate to leave them with us and now demand the 20% cancelletion fee?! Disgrace!
My in-laws purchased a mattress for me and my partner as a gift back in 2020.
The mattress unfortunately had a broken spring so we had to exchange it.
We had to pay more for the new mattress as they had nothing the same price.
We then received a mattress that had a manufacturing fault (mattress sizing was wrong) but we did find this mattress comfortable so decided to exchange for the same mattress.
Due to the sizing being wrong we based the comfort on that as the new mattress arrived and it was nothing like like the mattress with the manufacturing fault.
We have woken up with SEVERE backache everyday - unable to go to the gym or carry out certain tasks.
I currently have been diagnosed with hyper lordosis due to this!
We called through to customers services to hopefully get a refund.
We have spoken to Elliot a few times now and he is extremely rude, arrogant and really should not be working in a customer service role.
Refused refund as "not fault with mattress" despite this being our first actual mattress we got to try out as the others came with faults.
Now we are stuck with a £300 mattress we cannot sell on and have to buy another elsewhere!

We ordered a bed on 27. 02. 20 costing £1500, had I read these other reviews I wouldn't have bothered. Very pleasant sales girl. Was due to arrive 24 March but because of lockdown was delayed. Ok no one could help that.
On 1 May the bed with headboard was delivered.
On unpacking we discovered the headboard was the wrong colour, and also one of the drawer runners was broken.
Took photos and emailed Bensons same day,
Nothing happened, so tried to phone but impossible to get through one time there were 47 people in front of me in the queue. After phoning most days just stayed on phone for over half an hour only to be told parts and headboard had only been ordered on 15 May. I had sent 3 emails none of which were answered. Getting fed up by this time.
A customer services man rang once and said more or less there was nothing they could do and to stop ringing!
Anyway today the part for the drawer arrived in the post but can't get through to let them know so a person can come and fit it! Just keep saying no customer service available at the moment and to call back, but when.
Ombudsman can't do anything until 12 weeks after delivery.
Stalemate and no message on headboard. Also was told they couldn't take the bed back due to virus.

Have been trying to stop and recover costs that creation have been taking out of my account for a item that was returned in March 2020.
Between bensons for beds and creation they have been sending me back and forth saying it's the other parties fault.
Now I have been on the phone for months trying to resolve this but their team is limited apparently as to what they can do. I have call logs, times and dates detailing the whole process. It's beyond ridiculous, I'm being sent round in circles!
Cash book aren't replying to any of the emails, even when the customer service people are labelling it urgent. £193.16 has been taken from my account by creation because bensons for beds hasn't taken off a headboard I sent back in 2020.
This headboard was £287.99, I confirmed in store with an associate and via email that this was taken off the remaining balance owed. This had not been done and the two parties are refusing to admit in the wrong.
Besides this, when we actually got the mattress and frame it was soiled, wet and dirty. We had to wait over a month for a replacement. The van was letting in rain water and the delivery drivers dragged £1100s worth of goods along the floor, this tore the packaging.
The frames packaging was already ripped and was soaked down one side, it left it stained. They didn't take it back so had to have a king size bed and frame sitting in my front room. We got rid of our bed so had to sleep on the mattress for a month!
It's been a year on and my mattress is dipping! I'm 5'10 and weigh 66kg it should not be doing this this early on. 5 years warranty what a joke!
This company is finished - they just haven't gone away yet. If you need any bedroom furniture - shop anywhere EXCEPT for BENSONS FOR BEDS. They are liars and thieves - nothing more. They are happily taking customer's money for goods they full well know they cannot deliver for over 6 months. The goods don't even exist! Items that are delivered are awful quality, often damaged and if you are unfortunate enough to have ordered something - you have zero chance of it being supported. They simply don't care - its all about propping up the company with as much customer money as possible despite their awful reputation, before it goes under. DO NOT ORDER! Save your stress levels and money and go elsewhere. Their guarantee is not worth the paper its written on - you will receive little to no help if you experience an issue and will be advised to pay for an independent review and be told nonsense such as "You get in and out of bed the wrong way" Not kidding. Check out the Facebook group "Bensons for Beds = Bensons for Crap" if you want to see the real picture. WALK AWAY QUICKLY.
Ordered 2 new (not cheap) beds on 3rd Feb, delivery due 20th April, delivery canceleed, promised delivery, 20th May, delivery driver turned up at 6.50am with just head boards and mattress and not divan bases, was told to refuse delivery by the driver, so I did, I phoned customer service, told I could have £200 BOB vouchers, Hmmm no thanks, refunded £150, told delivery would be 20th June. And a promise from customer service that it would be delivered not further delays.
20th June Delivery driver turned up at 8am, unloaded, no mattress, this time i took the delivery and phone customer service at 9am - 79 in the queue, requested a call back as there is no way can sit on the phone for an hour or 2.
Popped into Stores, was told by a very unhelpful mananger (Milton Keynes) that Mattress was out of stock, annoyed off I went before throwing my phone at her, the customer service phoned me back, was told that the delivery driver hadn't actually picked it up, so where did the fact it was out of stock come from?
Now reschedule for 20th July!

The Guardian newspaper wrote about the Bensons For Beds scam in 2012 and sadly we had not read it. Look up 'Bensons for Beds mattress guarantee is giving me nightmares'. You'll find it online.
In essence, we fell foul to the same. Complained about a mattress we bought. B4B sent an 'independent' evaluator. He said that my son had sat on his bed. Shock horror! Whatever else. He may have even slept in it at one point!
That was their reason for not changing the mattress. It was 12 months old. My son has had to have chiropractor sessions to sort out his bad back. Not something a 14 year old should have to endure.
Avoid this company at all costs becasue their independent evaluators are not. Even when we approached the furntiure ombudmsan, they say that B4B cannot be evaluated independently because they are already independent. Eh?! Makes no sense. We then tried section 75, through our credit card, to get our money back. They wanted us to pay £250 for an independent evaluator. The mattress was only worth £330. There is basically no recourse.
3 words of advice; Avoid, Avoid and Avoid.

Same old story they can't even fulfil the orders they have, and yet every bank holiday there they are hustling for even more business. You want a guarantee here's one for you treat the mattress like a boxset where you binge watch it, actually use the mattress to sleep on while you binge watch a boxset for a maximum 13 days and I guarantee your be starting a return. That's when the fun starts they will blame Covid, they will reply but only with the company line within 10 working days were be in touch which they won't, then when you send a follow up message you will be waiting another 10 working days so already 2 messages will be 20 days, your calls will be cut off but an automated message, and when they are answered your be promised everything from customer services to a call back, to the return will be booked in, your even get a text from someone's granny to say the return will take place with a day and a time but they won't turn up. Then after 2 months you finally get the mattress collected, and do you get a refund after the 48 hours that they spout on about please today is a week already and counting. Always place your order online never in a shop your need the online buyer protection, and open a chargeback with your bank and see who returns you quicker.
I purchased and paid in full £1,540 bed, mattress, headboard in July, delivery agreed for 25/8/20 and pick up of old bed for £40
The day of delivery I received 3 text messages and 2 calls stating the order was on the way and would arrive within the hour so took my old bed down and placed in garden ready 10mins Before delivery I had a call saying my mattress was not there and to contact customer services. 45mibs on hold and totally dusgusting I was told nothing they could do and to buy a blow up mattress and ring at 9am next day. I explained I was an A/E nurse in resus and couldn't do this again told that's what I had to do. They never asked our age and when I told them my husband had spinal problems they were not interested I then went to the shop who were really helpful and even they couldn't help. They did get me a single bed for myself on loan after I broke down crying but my husband with 2 knee replacements and spinal problems aged 71 had to sleep on the sofa up to today (2 days later) this had still not been resolved and no sign of being done so far. Add insult to injury they never collected the old bed tills day after promised and it rained so they now refused to take that also. Arrrrrrrrr so stressed
