I have been trying to get the correct mattress in my house since October 2022. The first mattress was nothing like the one I laid on in the store. It caused me to wake up in pain crying on 3 occasions as it was so hard. I received it in mid-November. Then they claimed that I needed to sleep on it for 40 nights before choosing a new one and I would have to pay a 10% re-selection fee and choose an equal or more expensive mattress to the one I chose originally. I was furious as I was already on a light timetable at work due to my back and hip problems and not being able to sleep due to pain and a bad mattress.

In the first instance, Bensons for Beds could have sent me the correct mattress on the correct date and removed their own mattress which is not what I ordered from the store on Friday, December 9th as promised. I had to take the day off work and now I am in trouble with my employer for having to take more time off. I have lost many nights of sleep and now I am having to pay extra osteopath bills due to your company's operational nightmares. I will be speaking to the ombudsman about compensation for lost wages and health problems related to this bed stress and trauma.

I have the first mattress sent from the company sitting in my downstairs corridor completely blocking the entrance and exit of our property. It is a fire hazard as they were not able to collect it on the arranged date on Friday, December 9th. The operations staff is shoddy and you should not be outsourcing your mattress delivery to DX as they are not specialised to deliver mattresses. DX staff had the wrong mattress, and most likely broke that mattress bringing it to my second-floor bedroom, they were ill and coughing all over my house. They also damaged our walls with the mattress. Then we saw it did not fit in my room so it was definitely the wrong mattress.

I am incensed that this treatment is rewarding the company and I still need to pay over £1k in financing for a bed I have not received for many months. I cannot believe that this level of customer service is legally allowed, so I am telling everyone I know to avoid your company. I am detailing the horrors of ordering a mattress from Bensons for Beds as this has been my experience and I hope it is not yours. If you had good service, you were lucky.

I paid in full for bed had to wait 2 months for delivery was given a am time slot someone stayed in all day. Delivery was so late we thought it wasn't coming no phone call or email total radio silence when delivery came no bed.
Since then I have been left sleeping on the floor I can not get bensons to respond no bed no money no response. PayPal are involved still no response trading standards still no response. No bed no money no response. Stay well clear criminal

Purchased a bed in store in March before lockdown for delivery. We were told that deliveries had been paused which is understandable. Lockdown was over and we still had no news about the bed, until 4 weeks ago when we finally got through the customer service line and they told us delivery was expected at a specific date. The bed simply didn't show up, so rang again to clarify this and they just apologised and guaranteed delivery at a later date. They sent us a text 1 day before arrival with a delivery slot, the driver showed up 2 hours late only to tell us that they had our bed but NOT THE MATTRESS! We have had to sleep in a sofa bed since lockdown started and the only thing they offered was a £50 to purchase an airbed. Again they sent a text yesterday with a delivery slot, no sign of the bed and after calling them and being on hold forever they tell us THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENED and they need to open an investigation. This company is absolute jokes, the lack of professionalism and communication as to what's going on with an order that cost us almos 1000 quid, it is just appalling. 5 months waiting for something that is not arriving. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

What a rubbish company Benson for Beds is!
I ordered a double bed online 2 weeks ago with expected delivery of 1 to 3 weeks.
Got a text this morning saying bed was coming this Thursday between 7am and 1pm.
Unfortunately my wife is going into hospital Thursday morning for an operation and i am driving her there early morning and bringing her home late afternoon so called Benson for Beds and spoke to a rude woman named Sam who advised me if i do not accept Thursdays delivery date there would be a £39 additional delivery charge.
I said i was not happy about that and any other day for delivery would be fine except Thursday and she refused to change it.
I was then transferred to Internet sales and spoke to Annie who said she would put bed on hold and get back to me with a free alternative free delivery date which i agreed to.
A while later i had an email saying she had tried to call me but i didnt pick up ( which was a lie as i had my mobile with me at all times with no missed calls) and earliest delivery date was 21/8/2017 which was another 3 weeks on top of the 2 weeks we had already waited!
I telephoned my son to see if he could take a half day off work on Thursday to take delivery of the bed and his manager agreed to a short notice half day off so i emailed Internet sales dept back and advised to deliver bed on Thursday as agreed as my son could get a half day off work.
I was then told my order had been put on hold and i have lost the option of delivery on Thursday and i would have to wait 5 weeks for delivery.
Absolutely shocking customer service
I would never of ordered from Bensons for Beds if i knew how they operated and the contempt they have for their customers.

Shocking quality

Terrible quality mattresses and terrible company to speak to regarding after care. X2 matteresses worth 3k combined went in the skip after 6 months!

We ordered a £1400 bed in November 2020 for delivery in January 2021. I am registered disabled and my wife is petite 5ft 2, so I was concerned that being a pandemic and in lockdown that the delivery would need to be put off, as I would be unable to get the bed upstairs to my bedroom, however I was assured they would deliver to the bedroom as we wished, provided that we were happy for the delivery team to enter the house, and that COVID guidelines were followed. We said we were. On day of delivery two of the most obnoxious men I have ever met in my life turned up, they point blank refused to bring the bed inside, lying that they were not allowed to. They instead literally threw the mattress and headboard in to the space of the open front door, hitting the door and wedging them in. They then left the two base parts and drawers outside on the drive, and then scarpered. They managed to break our front door in the process. Luckily neighbours came to our aid after I asked them to, and we eventually got the bed up to the bedroom. I complained to customer services, as the damage to the front door cost £85 to repair after I called a company out as I was unable to close it, however I may as well have been talking to a block of concrete, as the robot on the phone was quite obviously reading from a script, Bensons refused to take any responsibility for the damage whatsoever despite me providing pictures, They said the two clowns they sent to deliver had said they couldn't recall it when questioned. REALLY? Bensons said they were agency drivers... so what! That to me is irrelevant!
I suggest you do not use idiots to deliver your brand then! Agency or not they represent the face of your company and your brand!
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy... Go to Dreams beds or a small independent instead!
