I tried to use my gift card voucher and instead my order got cancelled. After requesting me to send my passport scan and my billing address prove and sending it, I got blocked with such text:
Hello, With the information you've provided and after an assessment of your account, we've taken the decision to close your ASOS account.
ASOS have made the decision not to accept any further orders from you. If any orders are placed, they will be cancelled. As we're unable to help you further with this, any emails received about this matter will be automatically closed down with no response. Best Wishes,
Terrible experience. My order was delayed, not delivered to my house and went to the post office instead and i was forced to pay over a $100 in custom fees that were hidden. Plus, they dont have free returns, the quality of the clothes i received was terrible and the fit and sizing info on the website is completely wrong. Just wasted over $500 on this $#*!ty company.
Disgraceful customer service!
1. They sent me a product that they knew was faulty
2. They refuse to exchange it and expect me to return it (whilst keeping my money for 3 weeks so I can't pay for another pair)
Robbery and no birthday gift.
As you place items in your shopping cart, ASOS encourages you to spend $120 and receive a 15% discount or $200 to receive a 20% discount. Our most recent order was above $200. After we returned one item, the order dropped to $160. However, when processing a refund, ASOS completely removed the discount, rather than re-applying, as promised, the 15% discount. So the return for a $45 item was $6. This is misleading, at best, and borders on fraudulent. Deeply disappointed in ASOS' recent approach to customer service, especially after being loyal customers for many years and recommending the site to many friends.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE. I wish I had read some of these reviews before making my own purchase. If you ship to Canada, they will charge you a hefty fee when receiving the package. My order was $78 and was charged $20 fees, even though it was 'free shipping'. All I was told was that it was out of their control. The worse thing is that the website clearly states that they cover custom/duty fees if your order is under $150.

The link above states that you would have to pay duties if your order is above $150 (which mine was not), and that you'd have to pay an admin fee of $10.75 with Canada Post which I ended up having to pay $20.93. Seriously. Shady tactics. Definitely do not recommend.
I made order. Receive one wrong item.
Requested return and sent package (30+ days ago). Receive email from ASOS that my refund is in process.
After 30 days I contact customer support for not receiving money back. Insted refund they blocked my account without explanation and won't help me even if I contacted customer support more then 8+ times and sending them emails.
Ordered some stuff (glad i didn't spend too much) in April, it is still on the way and it's been more than a month now. Tried to contact customer service twice and for the second time they told me my order was sent back to the warehouse without any reason. They also said to wait another 21 days (I'm pretty sure it will be more than that) to get a refund. Kind of disappointed... Also the lady who was helping last time was very blunt and advised me to close the chat window while I was still trying to ask questions. I usually never write bad reviews because oh well it's an e shop and stuff happens, but i mean... at least try to be helpful in resolving issues since you're such a big company
I have had numerous incidents in a short amount of time, orders returned and never acknowledged and orders received with wrong items. Customer service is useless, they just sending automated messages. Not ordering from ASOS again!
Never ever buy from ASOS. It might be a half scam website as you can not contact them via email, phone or live chat. It's simply missing and you won't get a refund. Overall, very cheap quality so male sure you spend minimum in case your money is lost you dont feel bad.
I hate shopping and picking up clothes or shoes, so for about six months I've been ordering things only from this online store, it has everything in one place, it's easy to find the right size, and this way of shopping saves me a lot of time.
Worst customer service- wouldn't give me a full refund as they've snuck in a new policy to catch customers out and refused to reach a compromise. Been shopping there for 10 years- I will never order from them again. Absolutely disgusting
Misleading check-out process. No mention for 38.5% duties surcharge, yet the site is set in local currency and knows where I'm ordering from. Complicated and expensive returns policy and customer service unwilling to help.
Absolutely love love ASOS! Been an avid customer past 3 years. Take it from someone who constantly shops at their website. 1st and foremost shipping takes minimal time. For Plus size gals the options are unlimited and really trendy clothes. Return is breezy and I get refund every time. The only complaint, they are not a physical store else I would have camped there.
Advice: think twice before ordering anything on Asos. My girlfriend ordered two dresses and paid for them. They never arrived but that's ok, mistakes can be made. The problem is that Asos has zero customer service and only responds with procedural mails so we're getting no help at all and literally got robbed by Asos.
Like many others I've paid for next day (evening) delivery, order never arrived, customer service could not be bothered. I just hope I'll get my money back. Friendly advice, don't bother with Asos or at least use paypal which may help get your money back if there's an issue.
ASOS is great... if you receive your orders. That's a big IF. I ordered from them the first time last year and my package never arrived- customer service sent copy-paste messages telling me to wait longer when I contacted them. Finally, after 2 months of not receiving anything, I hounded them for a refund. I FINALLY got my refund a month after that. I should have just left well enough alone but I had a friend who swears by the site and insisted it was just a one-off bad experience. Not so. I placed another small order early this year. Same thing. Terrible customers service, didn't even get what I paid for. What a load of junk. I don't want to fault their employees- it's not their fault, ASOS just needs to re-vamp their whole delivery process! Take a note from Amazon, guys! They are great at delivering things (on time, too!)
Worst experience ever. They ignore emails, DMs, and close chats without any care or concern for the customer at all. NO customer service phone number. Completely unhelpful in every possible way. I have never experienced anything like it.
1 month still no refund. They are a joke respond with same email every time. They sent me wrong size and were sold out in my size. It's an absolute joke will not buy anything from them again. Stick to iconic
No point to pay special delivery, you will get just "we are so sorry, we apologise ", your parcel will never arrive next day!
Plus they deliver your staff to random addresses, giving you a picture of a closed door and that's it, you end up paying for some clothes which other people enjoys. Absolutely disgusted about their services!
Most of the items are faulty and bad quality. Beside this, they will not refund your money back. Even if you're lucky enough to receive a refund, it will be less than you have paid. Useless customer service. Please, avoid!
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
