I spent a ridiculously long chat session with art.com, in what should have been a basic answer to a question I had, trying to find out if they can produce or offer any art using the giclee printing process. The chat agent Kurt was extremely evasive and refused to answer my question about giclee or not. I eventually gave up. It caused me to look online and do a bit more research on them, and I see many negative reviews. This has definitely scared me off and I will not be ordering anything from them.
I ordered a canvas print that arrived with a large black splotch on a girl's pale face. I'd like to know if the prints are reviewed at all because the black splotch is quite noticeable. After reading awful reviews of refunds, I decided to fix the print myself. Luckily, I was successful or, I started to care less. In any case, I will never use this company again. The obvious mistake was easy to spot before the ink dried. This company is either careless or is employed with small children who have poor vision. Don't risk it.
If you want cheap replicas of art, then buy here. It's basically "Hotel" art. Nothing fine here, and waaaayy over priced. I ordered a few items (posters) that came rolled up in a tube, which was fine and they were what I expected, but the actual painting that I spent $350 on was ridiculous! It was not placed straight in the frame, and the quality looked cheap. I would have hung it in a dorm, rather than my living room. I will never do business with them again period.
I've notified art.com repeatedly that they are selling bootlegged copies of copies my Civil Rights Photographs, most notably of James Peck, a badly beaten Freedom Rider in 1961.
They tell me to fill out forms, etc, etc. I'm old and don't have a Secretary to handle copy right thieves.
Art.con is a disreputable company that has stolen my work.
A few years ago, I purchased two map prints. Now I'd like the frames. I went back online to purchase the frames. Not only will Art.com not sell you the frames after you've purchased prints (you have to buy all at the same time), but I see that the prints now cost a fraction of what I paid for them years ago. I paid just under what prints + frames now cost, for prints only. I wrote to customer service stating my disappointment on both points. They still won't sell me just the frames. I was gouged and still don't have frames. Insult to injury. I can't shop here on principle.
The tracking app hasn't worked since I ordered my artwork. Nobody responds to emails. They keep promising delivery the next day, it never happens. I finally called Visa and filed a complaint with my credit card company and they're going to take care of canceling the order.
Ordered a print on canvas after searching forever. The colors are COMPLETELY wrong, it looks like an abstract painting, NOT a high quality photo, and the color scheme in the photo on the site is literally unrecognizable in real life.
Also, I paid for expedited shipping and it showed up 10 days later after being rescheduled at the last moment while the package was en route.
Had 3 other prints to add to the collection for this very special gift and aside from being terribly embarrassed at what actually showed up as the present to my person, cannot complete the series with such horrible quality and faulty delivery. Never again.
After ordering I requested they leave the Art.com sticker OFF the back of the pieces because they are for resale, impossible to take off, and damage the backing. I was absolutely assured there would be NO stickers on the back of the order. Guess what? All the pieces had their dumb sticker on the back. When I brought the issue up with CS on chat they gave me the runaround, told me the sticker wasn't optional, then basically called me a liar regarding the past chat. 100% satisfaction guaranteed, huh? They offered me a 10% discount on my next order. You'd think a company called ART.COM had heard of white label packaging. I'm never giving them another dime. Complete BS.
Your typical middle man website... They don't print anything - everything is out sourced to different printers and every single piece is different. I ordered 4 prints, everyone of them are on a different paper stock & every single one had creases, dings, etc! Not to mention it's. Been 6 weeks & I'm still waiting on a print. Don't waste you time.
I ordered a product that said "will arrive by". It did not arrive by that date. I arrived several days later. The option customer service gave is return unopened for a refund, but minus the shipping cost. Had they not stated "will receive by" there would not have been an issue. I would have gladly paid for quicker shipping to receive when needed. Customer service sucks!
I ordered two of her pictures for our bathroom! And I have not received them. This company keeps me on hold on the phone. I was told that their was a shortage of UV plastic glass and so I opted for another glass. To date, October 3,2019, nothing has been received. This company needs to get their act together. Very very irritating.
I ordered five prints and while three of them were delivered within a couple of weeks, one other remained somewhere in transit. After five weeks of waiting, I canceled that order and ordered another print. That was two weeks ago and I'm still waiting. Curiously, I went to the Fed Ex site yesterday and checked the tracking number; it said it would be delivered today. I just checked again and now it says the delivery date "may" be in another ten days.
That's the last time I'll buy from art.com.
What a horrible experience. Someone ordered something in their name using my address. I contacted them in order to find out if the customer used any of my credit cards, etc. I didn't ask for specific information on what form of payment other than try to find out if it was in fact in the customers or my name. They told me I had to try to find the information on my own and if I had an issue to file a fraud claim with my financial institution. I understand they can't give me all the information due to privacy issues, but seriously, you are so anti customer and so pro fraud that you wouldn't even assist in any way? It's a shame that they would treat potential fraudsters better than anyone else.
We ordered a framed print well over two weeks ago. FedEx reported that it was damaged. Not a word from Art.com. I finally contacted them and they acknowledged that it was damaged and that they would "expedite" a second one. After a week, FedEx reported that it was delayed. I contacted Art.com and this one is apparently lost. Give me the refund. Lousy customer service and they should also consider switching delivery services.
I ordered artwork title " the dance"... Very fast delivery item was packaged securely... the painting was more than I expected very beautiful print bright pop out colors... I'm over the moon with my purchase.
They want you to buy pictures and create "wall decor". Then, when you receive the product with the intent of creating wall decor, using the same subject theme and you even order the same frame or matting and most importantly, the same size, they come out being 3/4" difference in height. You don't notice the difference in width so much as you do the difference in height when you set them next to each other. They (in my case "Stephanie" who was nasty and rude) just point out the disclaimers. Don't go here. They always run late and when you contact them they treat you like you are out of your mind for saying anything and make you feel like dirt. Don't go here. You have been advised.
I gave them my email address and received an email from them that said I would get a $25.00 on my first order. I picked something out and when I placed it in the cart a message came up that my cart had to be $150.00 or more in order to get this discount. I scoured the email for that disclosure but it was no where to be found. I will not purchase anything from them. I feel like they are creating a bait and switch.
Please do not order anything from All Posters or Art.com! This was the worst experience I've had in all of the online orders I've ever made. I recently placed my order online and was charged on my card immediately after I placed the order. I never received a confirmation email or receipt. I spent 3 days on the phone with multiple representatives from the company, all of which said that I never placed an order, and that I was not even in their system. They said they had no record of my order, even though that had already charged my credit card! Their representatives hung up on me twice, and many others failed to contact me via email like promised. They always said that they had their manager looking into it, but I never heard back. It took days of contacting the company and my bank to get my money back. They were never going to ship the posters I ordered. Overall, stay AWAY from this company!
I had a lot of home redecorating projects going on and finally got to the position to start putting up pictures. I opened a previously unopened shipment from Art.com and found it creased. I contacted them and they said that it had passed the 45 day return date and would not accept it. Even though it was their fault that it was shipped poorly. I really should have read previous reviews and not ordered from them in the 1st place. In addition, they accidently shipped a picture to me that I did not order. The poor person in Marrieta, California that did not receive it!
6 days after placing an order with art.com i received an email saying that the order has been shipped. When the order didn't come i contacted art.com and after several emails, finally they said there is now a delay and they have no idea when or even if they can fill my order.
Answer: Don't be fooled, this company is a scam, they don't deliver and don't refund.
Answer: I found a print and wanted to have it mounted and framed.
Answer: They make their 800 number a bit hard to find and be aware that who you start speaking with has little to no escalation power to resolve more complex matters.
