I ordered a poster from art.com. Paid $19 for OVERNIGHT for $30 something poster cause it's urgent for an event on Saturday. It said it will be arrive on August 30 somehow end up arriving on Sept 4 (that's 5 days late!) They don't say sorry and the attitude of the customer service are not nice and doesn't seem to care. This company is suck so bad! And their products not even that great.
I ordered a custom framed print. The first delay was due to their accounting department not posting my PayPal payment. Then my order was delayed because they were out of stock on UV Non-glare acrylic with no estimated delivery date for this essential product. I then cancelled my order.
I have to say though that the customer service people are fantastic. Seasoned professionals even right after being hit by the recent hurricane. Brava, ladies, brava!
I tried to order a Van Gogh art print on art.com. When I moved the wanted picture to the shopping cart, the price went up by $15.
I contacted 2 separate customer service people who could not even locate the picture after sending screenshots with the item number, title, artist and size. After 3 days of e-mailing, I cut my losses and just desired to look for something else to fit the space.
Avoid incompetence, try a different site. Avoid allposters.com, they own this one too.
I get emails from art.com almost everyday pitching free shipping. When I finally order, the shipping is $200 - because free doesn't apply to Canada. Then why do you keep sending me email about offers I can't participate in!?!?!?!?!
2 of the pieces I ordered are a pair - meant to be hung together. They are backed differently, so they don't hang the same!
Won't ever be ordering from this site again.
I ordered a $25 poster and was charged customs because art.com said the package was $50. Tell your customers that they will be charged more than what they agree to pay on your site! Definitely not ordering from you again
After repeated attempts to obtain help logging into the art.com site and receiving curt and unhelpful responses, I am baffled that these people are still in business! Is there an owner there that cares about the business? Reads reviews? I am shopping online a great deal on a current project and have no issues with Amazon, Ballard Designs, Grandinroad, Wayfair, Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, CB2, Pottery Barn and everyone except Home Depot, whose website isn't responsive (the people are friendly and helpful though). Shameful! And it is so frustrating for potential customers looking for help finding their account information.
This site sucks and you should be able to give zero stars! They don't offer international sales AT ALL.
I even tried a US Address service but they've only got drop downs for state and zip code to enter your billing address.
My friend has a family member in New York York has spent the past couple days trying to place the order and keeps getting "Unable to verify billing address...".
I called the customer service when I was attempting to place an order and they were basically like "yeah we can't place your order either.", and basically in SSI many words said "sucks to be you". Barely said goodbye to me when the call ended too.
I was trying to order 14 prints! You don't want my money i guess! It looks like based on the awful reviews I was in for more trouble if I had been able to order them.
Print was fuzzy. And there was lint under the glass that could not be removed because the back of the frame was sealed. Making a return on the website also has been difficult. The instructions say click on "Return Items" but there is no such button.
Order was not sent until after I asked for more information, two days after the anticipated delivery date. The print itself nowhere near covers the size of the paper and also includes a second gutter, presumably from the original artwork. The printing isn't centered either. At no point have I been able to track my order or retrieve information from the website using the order number, which also I means I can't return it, because you have to start with the order number which "cannot be found".
I ordered a large print that was supposed to be professionally framed. It was heavily discounted, but still over $130 with a $50 shipping charge. It arrived today.
The framing on this thing is on par with a cheap Walmart print... the mat is very thin, the frame itself is thin metal, and it's covered in front with a sheet of cheap plastic. The assembly is not sealed in any way in the back - no spacers or craft paper. Because of its dimensions and cheap assembly, the piece will not lie flat on the wall. It hangs warped.
With a shipping price that is probably worth more than the entire product, if I return it, this company will keep my $50 and still have made a profit off of me. Don't make the same mistake I did and give these people your money.
Ordered a 40x50" print with a frame. The corners of the frame are pulling apart, the glass (plastic) was cut too short to fit into the grove around the frame, and the frame itself is warped so bad I can see it even before hanging the thing.
Moreover - the company that claims, "Easy returns, no drama," is refusing to take this thing back.
What an absolute joke - shop elsewhere!
Avoid the aggravation and don't order canvases from this company. They replaced the damaged originals 3 times and each replacement arrived with the same damages. They just don't know how to stretch and mount canvases properly. I asked for them to just ship me the canvases so I could have them mounted on my end and they told me it was impossible. It's not impossible -- they just won't go out of their way to make the situation right. A total waste of time and effort. I don't know how this company stays in business!
Paid extra for two day shipping. Nothing at checkout mentioned that they don't keep the item in stock. So now the product is supposed to show up 5 days later. Waste of money and it will miss Father's Day, now instead of the two day buffer I paid for. Customer Service was no help except to say that the email confirmation list the later date. Lot of good that does when the date at checkout is different. F U art.com scammers.
Ordered a picture with frame Nov 30 2022. Email from art.com says that out of stock and suggested another frame I accepted thinking that it was available to be made. Today Jan 3 2023 I have to get in touch with them, now find out that frame is now also out of stock. Ive cancelled the order. I understand it's the holiday season and things get delayed but I suggest they update their stock of frame to avoid customer disappointment.
Good Day,
I have received an order composed of 2 items for a price of 689$ canadian due to the shipping cost.
The order has arrived damaged, not due to shipping in my opinion but poor fabrication as it can be seen on the picture.
I have received good service from Madam Fiona at the online website. They have refunded the damaged item and told me i can sell, donate the damaged items.
Honnestly, I would have expected a refund, and to get a new one free.
I will not buy from Art.com anymore.
This site is ridiculous. I just moved to a house that has hooks for about 50 pictures. I ordered 2 from Art.com on March 2nd... Every time I try to find out where my order is I get "In Production". I don't understand. How can you run a business where print production takes nearly 2 months? On the live chat I was told that they would expedite the shipping. What BS. I wish I would've read the previous reviews prior to ordering. I've bought other prints from Minted.com, Society6.com, and Allposters.com with no problems... Please check out these sites before you order anything from Art.com. Also, you'd think they'd know what they're doing based on the number of sales emails they send. Delete them and shop elsewhere. This company is beyond frustrating.
I ordered 3 tapestries of art by one of my favorite artists Don Li-Leger. They are supposed to have rod pockets on the back that are not sews to the edges so that when you hang them the support brackets for the rods do not show. Only one of the 3 came sewn correctly, so I called and explained the problem to customer service. They send me two labels for free returns and ordered two replacement tapestries. Either they did not tell their supplier what the problem was, or the supplier ignored the alert, and they sent me two replacement tapestries with the exact same problems. So now after waiting a month overall, I am rescinding the order and sending everything back for a full refund. What incompetence. I really liked them too and the colors were perfect for my room. What a waste of time and energy.
Ordered a print on Monday, selected and paid for 2-day shipping, was quoted that delivery would be Friday. Makes sense since it may take a day or two to process. We were unable to track the package so had to call in to find out what was happening on Friday. They blamed the vendor without accepting responsibility on their end. They did not send any email to show delay, and when we requested an overnight delivery, they said they couldn't do that because they just now sent the item so it would arrive until Tuesday, precisely 8 days after ordering. Again, without getting any email notification. We cancelled the order because we needed the print right away to have it framed by Father's Day. Very disappointed.
Suggest you read the return policy carefully. You pay shipping. Also, my return refund will be in about TEN days, not 3-5 business days - called them & my return still received Monday. Today is Friday & its not checked in yet. It's been there 5 days. She's "gonna speed it up for me"..
Picked a print then the frame. All the frames were priced as advertised. My frame came up $20 more than the other frames. I was told that particular one cost more. I asked where I could find that notation as now Art.com claims the advertised prices for frames are "just a starting point". When I asked again where they mentioned there were unadvertised upcharges on the website, I got crickets. Communications with customer service went dead. I almost didn't catch the bait and switch tactics. Pretty disappointed as I'd had good results with them before. They went from 5 stars to none. I don't have a receipt as I never got to the point of purchase.
Answer: Don't be fooled, this company is a scam, they don't deliver and don't refund.
Answer: I found a print and wanted to have it mounted and framed.
Answer: They make their 800 number a bit hard to find and be aware that who you start speaking with has little to no escalation power to resolve more complex matters.
