I've never used a delivery service or bought from somewhere so amazing. Seriously the customer service is like crazy good, even their phone system like is so handy. Idk how they could be better tbh
I ordered a canopy replacement for an 8'x8' Gazebo. It said it would be deliverded June 19,2017 then it said it was delivered June 13th. But it was not delivered to me.
It was delivered to what might be a bogus address, Walnutport PA US. I live in Newcastle On. Canada. I can not get any help from Amazon Ca and they have my money. I can't get any answere to my problem and I can't contact the seller. I think the seller is a scammer.

On apr 2,2021 Amazon took prime membership fee $8.95 without my consent - so far I remember I did not give my approval for this sevice.
Amazon sells to Amazon customers using their amazon website platform, leading Amazon customers to believe that they are to receive a service that consistent and on par with the reputation of Amazon.
However, they allow third-party sellers to sell items without any of the customer protection guarantees associated with sale by a business established in Ontario.
In my case, I was charged for an item sold by a third-party seller on Amazon.ca but I never received the item. The Amazon customer service hides behind the third-party seller "it's not our fault, it's theirs" argument and refuses to issue any kind of refund. They simply sent me a link to their policy, in a "fend for yourself" fashion.
In my view, the amazon platform is part of the sale process and therefore bears responsibility with the sale. They do make a commission on the sale, don't they?
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complain against Amazon. I also wrote to my MP and I am warning my friends and family about this. I will post this review on external websites as well, so that people do not get scammed the way I was.
Amazon's shipping reliability is abysmal, especially when using same day / next day delivery. 5 out of 10 of my last same-day or next day delivery, did not arrive either on time or at all. When amazon ships with regular prime 2 days, never a problem thanks to Canada Post (i never thought I would say that in my lifetime but it's true). HOWEVER, when it comes to same/next day delivery, their different services are a lottery. If you get Intelcom Express, you are in luck, they are great, but if you get Dynamex, you get nothing but lies and pure fabrication of delivery attempts that were never made or successful deliveries that were not made (i know, I have CCTV). Until Amazon let's me pick my same day carrier, even at an extra charge, then I will go back to brick and mortar. Amazon customer service, other than being great at apologizing, are totally useless. I spend an average of 1K/month on Amazon, but i really have to say that their service went drastically bad in the last 2 years and I will encourage my local stores, even if it means paying more... We cannot let Amazon kill the competition, then take a dump on us.
In the past 2 to 3 months Amazon prime's shipping has gone from 2 to 3 days to 5 to 7 days. The only thing worse than the shipping is the customer service

I received an Amazon gift card as a little employee appreciation from work (Christmas gift from Management). I purchased a couple of books from Amazon.ca a couple of weeks ago, using the gift card. I haven't received my order. It was SUPPOSED TO arrive January 21,2021 (through Canada Post). Here we are, January 28,2021, and still no parcel. I went to my Post office to follow up on their end, the clerk told me that they had nothing in their system about the package, only the tracking number (no physical package in their processing centre). So I called the Amazon.com customer service telephone number (got the wrong number and called the American Customer Support Centre). After a 10 minute wait, they finally transferred me to Amazon.ca's Customer Support Centre. It turns out that some idiot at Amazon.ca LOST MY PARCEL! It hadn't even left the Amazon.ca fulfillment centre that was supposed to have processed AND SHIPPED my order, after amazon.ca claimed that it had! This is my first time buying from Amazon.ca and after this crap, I refuse to buy anything else from Amazon. I'm thoroughly pissed with the experience, and it's persuaded me to think that buying from amazon.ca is a complete waste of time. If I want to order vinyl albums from my favourite bands, I'll get them directly from the bands' sites, instead of from amazon.ca.
EVERY time we order something from Amazon.ca and pay for express shipping, "Promised by date" a few days after ordering, suddenly gets extended AFTER payment! Very Shady Carriers are being used by Amazon.ca, Carriers like BNI, Landmark, DHL. (DHL Tried 3 times to Rip us off for Import Fees that were PRE-PAID!) Ordered something June 13th, 2022, Paid shipping for a Guaranteed Date of BY JUNE 18th 2022, by 8:00 PM (We PAID FOR THIS!) Amazon didn't even start shipping Items until June 17th, 2022! LIED to by Customer Service, (In Chat and on Phone!) Carrier trying to deliver to WRONG Address, Amazon Customer service didn't understand PLAIN ENGLISH when this was EXPLAINED REPEATEDLY to them! Have received items that were not as Described. Or Counterfeit Knock offs, sold at a premium price!
A brief description; I paid for Prime as a requirement for a promotion they offered me. The promotion page was not giving the links their own instructions outlined as the means of applying the promotion, so was not applicable. I chatted customer service and explained the page was broken and they couldn't fix it, so promised to get back to me within 2 days. Over 2 days later they didn't email and the problem was not fixed, and because of the wait I lost another discount that was waiting in my cart because the item became unavailable and I had to wait on this email. I called customer service and instead of being able to bring up any notes, they made me explain myself all over again. I was transferred to supervisor because the agent couldn't help where I was forced to explain myself from scratch again. He promised to help and a couple minutes later hung up. They required my phone number for this and somehow didn't make any effort to call back or even email(or fix anything). So I have spent money and several hours trying to solve this and waiting on hold, and I have been ignored and hung up on. I don't understand what makes them think it's worth it for me to stay. I'm never giving subscription money again just to be treated this way, and they won't be refunding what they already cost me obvs, or fulfilling the promises outlined on their own site. I regret prime immensely, money grab.
I am an avid user of Amazon.ca shopping services. In 2020 I placed 101 orders with them. ( yes I have some experience with Amazon.ca) I appreciate the fact that their selection is incredible and the delivery service is very good. Their return policy is very liberal. Yes I do expect to pay a little more for the convenience. BUT every once and a while I run across an item that is OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH PRICED! Case in point, 26 Dec. 2020 I was looking to purchase a simple countertop am/fm old style plug in radio. After doing the research I choose the Victrola VRS 2800 in dark walnut color with blue tooth capabilities (although I didn't need this feature). In a nut shell... Amazon price is $104.95. I thought this was a little high and decided to shop around. I bought it the next day at Canadian Tire on sale for $49.99 ( their regular price was only $10.00 more at $59.99). This means the Amazon price is approximately 100% higher than what it should be!
I will still continue to shop Amazon. For all the reasons I have already stated, I'm just saying to BEWARE of some of their prices! If it seems a little pricey, it probably is! Take the time to shop around!
A was advised by Occulus. So I purchased it, but I looked for more information just after to purchase it. The customers were saying that this product is not so good for the occulus rift.
Only 15 minutes, I tried to cancel it. I was no able to do it. I contacted just after the customer service. They tried, but they didn t success. They told me that that they will cancel the full order. I had just to contact the when the package would be shipped.
Unhappily I trusted them. I did another order with the right product, I also purchased again the other product. They told me that they will cancel the full package.
But the next day, I contacted them again, they were not able to cancel the package and they didn t give me the refund. Now, I am just pissed off.
Don t think, that you can cancel an order, it is not true. If I was purchasing this product in a physical store, I would have been able to take it back for free. With Amazon, you can t.
If it is possible to have your product for the same price in a physical shop, just do it, it is better.
I decided to buy a last minute Christmas gift for my nephew from Amazon Canada on December 17th. Amazon stated that "This Item will Arrive Before Christmas" so long as I paid for extra "Express 2 day shipping." I paid the extra cost for the 2-day shipping and expected the item on Dec 20th.
As of the December the 23rd (3 days after "guaranteed delivery date"), no item. Then an email from Amazon stating "We recently learned that we may miss your delivery promise for your Amazon.ca Order and apologize for the inconvenience."
According to the tracking number of the carrier, the item hadn't even left the warehouse!
It's really very simple Amazon Canada: if you can't keep a delivery commitment, don't make that commitment in the first place.
Now I am out in the crowded, chaotic Christmas rush looking for a replacement gift in a store.
I am so angry at Amazon Canada over this incident that I will not be shopping with them again anytime soon.
Update: After some emails back and forth, Amazon agreed to refund my money, and the refund has been put through on my card. I received no explanation from them as to why the item never shipped.

Then was made to wait almost another entire week for that refund. So NOT IMPRESSED, and? NEVER AGAIN. BOOOOO! Oh and AMAZON? STRIKE 3! YOUR OUT!
The Scotts Turf Builder EdgeGuard Mini Broadcast Spreader sells for $39.98 at Home Depot Canada and yet Amazon has the very same product listed for $101.74. Shame on you Amazon for price gouging!
Have had three prior lost shipments this year and I don't order online often. I placed an order recently and the shipment was lost and it was a one-day delivery. I contacted Amazon and they reordered the shipment at no charge and I told the gentleman how I keep getting lost shipments and do we have the same driver for our area and he just said he would place the order again at no charge and would make notes so that this wouldn't happen again and same thing happened again one day delivery but I never received the shipment and I contacted them and of course they said it was lost a second time so the gentleman said he would redo the order a third time at no charge and would escalate it and make notes about what was going on. He told me that I could click on the link he sent me to view my new order so I ended my conversation with him and clicked on the link and there was no order. I contacted them again and the new rep said she was unable to make a new order and would just refund me. I asked her if the problem was there was no stock and all she could tell me was she could not replace the order and didn't answer my question and just offered refund. So I've had three prior lost shipments and now this one was lost twice as well and for whatever reason this rep told me she could not redo the order even though the person before her did redo the order and she did not tell me why she could not redo the order when I asked
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. Worse customer service ever! And worse service ever. I order the Kindle paperless THREE times and never received it! Everytime it kept going back and they claim my address was wrong which is crazy because I got other items from them in the past. In any case when I finally Reorder the kindle for the forth freaking time I order the oasis version and can you believe what came in? The paperless version in the oasis box. WTFFFFFFF? I called customer service and the best they can do for me was to reimburse me ONCE I SENT THE ITEM BACK. In other words fkin nothing! Unbelievable. Will never order with them again. Its so sad the company because wealthy enough not to give two shots about their customers.
The item never came. They said it would be late and if it did not come by the new date they would give me a refund?
And now they just hang up?

I purchased a California King bed frame from Amazon, it came defective I called Amazon and they said they would send out a replacement. They said I would have my replacement within two days and that the truck driver when dropping off the replacement will take the defective one back at the same time. It was two weeks before I seen my replacement and the truck driver did not take back the defective one. I got a hold of Amazon again he told me he would send me an email that I would just have to fill in my address name and forward it back to them which I did twice. It has been in my garage ever since and I got an email from Amazon threatening me that if I don't return the defective one by April 4th they will charge my Mastercard another payment of $570! Very frustrated I called Amazon and asked them what's going on how come this hasn't been picked up? They put me through to management and they told me that I had to drop it off at UPS, keep in mind this box is 130 lb and 7 ft long. That was the reason it came with a trucking company Rosenau transport. I told them I don't have a truck to take it to UPS and the lady in management was laughing at me,. I was so frustrated when she told me she can't do anything for me, I sense deleted my account with Amazon and will never spend another penny at Amazon. Now myself and my wife have spoke to many people in management telling them our situation they said they would call us back five times never called us back once. We have spent thousands of dollars at Amazon to get treated like this is unacceptable
