We bought a $4,500 gas range that was missing a part. AJ Madison won't make good on this part stating we waited over 30 days to notify them and that this is clearly stated on their website. We did not order this from their website but direct over the phone with a salesperson who made no mention of this policy. DISHONEST COMPANY BUYER BEWARE!

Under no circumstances should you buy from AJ Madison! Go to ABT, or Best Buy or PC Richards or Lowe's or ANYWHERE ELSE. They sold me an Electrolux washing machine and installation service... but they neglected to tell me that the installers would not be able to complete the installation of all the features of the machine, such as the reversible door. (Washing machines come with a hinge on the left side, but in my tiny space, I need the hinge on the right side.) So now I need to hire ANOTHER installation company (a REAL one) to reverse the door, and it will cost over $300. Call me crazy, but I think that if you sell a machine on with a reversible door on your website, and you sell professional installations, YOU MUST INDICATE THAT THE INSTALLERS ARE UNABLE TO HANDLE ALL ASPECTS OF THE INSTALLATION.

And that's not all. I wish I could post photos here to show you the state they left my apartment in. They left dirt and garbage all over the floor. Dirt was ground dirt into the carpet in such a way that it will have to be professionally cleaned or replaced. And they dumped the trash, old hoses and dirty hardware in our (full) clothing hamper. As an added bonus, they broke the drain pan under the washer!

The Electrolux machine is great. I just wish I had bought it ANYWHERE ELSE.

I cannot tell you how disappointed we have been with AJ Madison. We ordered over $9,000 in appliances, including an LG dryer in August and the appliances were shipped to us in September. Because we were remodeling our home, the dryer was stored in our secure garage in its original packing and was not installed until the first week of November. As soon as the unit was plugged in it made a loud grinding noise and did not heat. We contacted the AJ Madison service department to reject the unit and have them ship us a new one, but they refused to do so. Instead, they referred us to LG to make a warranty claim. We waited nearly three weeks for an LG repair person to come to the house and inspect the unit. He determined that the mounting bracket on the motor was broken and that the heating element was detached from its base and was damaged. He said that the damage most likely occurred while the unit was in transit... he ordered parts and we are still waiting to get it running.
The next time I will buy my appliances from Home Depot or Lowes because they stand behind the products they sell. I will never do business with AJ Madison again!

When I ordered a Samsung oven, I was told it would be delivered in a week. At the time I paid extra for an install and specified I needed an LP conversion. Over a month later the stove is delivered and the guy tells me they don't do LP conversions. I called AJ Madison and now they tell me they never do LP conversion. THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU IDIOTS CALL ME WHEN YOU SAW THE REQUEST IN THE COMMENTS SECTION ON MY INVOICE? They took away the old stove and my gas company can't come out for a week to do the install. The woman at AJ Madison offered to credit me the price of the gas kit they sent, but only if I sent it back. Wow, so generous. This is the first and last time I do business with these crooks.

My Exoeruence

I had the unfortunate experience of purchasing an Amana PTAC from AJ Madison. After talking to their Sales rep late on a Friday night, upon his direction, I placed my order online over the weekend.

After several weeks of email exchanges, I received the unit after about a month. Upon receiving the unit, my electrician told me the unit will not work in any home. When I contacted AJ Madison they gave me a "middle finger." Upon contacting the manufacturer, they told me AJ Madison should replace it free of cost. But not AJ Madison; tgey had a better idea. They told me that it was my fault and refused. The manufacturer assisted me by giving their account to ship the unit back at a reduced rate ($134 against the quote from the Transpoter of $1008). Manufacturer was willing to replace the unit, but AJ Madison wanted restocking fee. They refunded me $160 or I received $34 for a unit that I paid $1,000.

AJ Madidon told me that they have no record of my conversation with then. How convenient!

AJ Madison is a terrible business entity. Stay away from this business. Keep them out of your lives to avoid disappointment. Save your money, do yiur business with a business that believes in customers.

Horrible company stay away from them

After a long search i came across with this company and after find an electric range that I look for it, call them to see when I would get this range if i place order right away, and sale person (David Ettelson) which obviously looking to get the deal promised with in 5-7 business day I will get the range and after 14 days when I called(after 45 min. To 1 hour waiting on the line) could talk to some one which didn't have any answer and have to call again and again and finally talk to a lady that said will check with tracking company and call/email me back which she didn't (same attitude with other people in this company) the next day again call to David and he didn't have any answer for me and just just transferred me to another line which again waiting for more than 20 min. And finally talk to Brian(he said he is) and like others he didn't have any answer and lying about the lady that would going to contact with me for the tracking information and he kind of hang up on me(actually transferred me to David which went off completely) and now another day passed no news not easy to talk to any one. This is a horrible experience with a company and every one in this company try to scape from any answer. Just remember if you want to prevent getting into such things highly recommend to go to a local store and get your appliances directly from them and do not even think about to buy any thing from them.
Save your money time and stay away from them.

Another horrible experience with AJ Madison. Their salesmen forget about you after the order. Any problem goes to Customer Serviced while the employees are nice, they are hamstrung by company policy, which is AUFUL. I have a problem and they will not accept any responsibility for the mistake. I just spent $35,000 and they want, in order to swap for the correct appliance, a freezer, a 30% restocking fee. Bear in mind, they RECORD ALL PHONE CONVERSATIONS. I was toluene version, between I listened to the recording, that version of the order never occurred. BELIEVE ALL OF THE HORRIBLE REVIEWS.

Just awful

I tried both the big names in online appliance sales (applianceconnection being the other one) and they're both just horrible companies- no communication, zero organization, brutal customer service experience.

I tried to order a washer from them, After a week without hearing anything from them, I check the order status. On their site they have a list of what all the statuses actually mean. My status was not even listed so I had no clue what was going on. I submitted a ticket to this effect... no response from anyone but when I checked the status online again it had been changes to 'Processing'. I waited about another week but no one contacted me and the status was the same so I called them, spoke to the rudest, surliest woman imaginable who told me the item was on backorder for at least 4 weeks! As this was a recently discontinued model I was trying to order I tried to find out if it was actually in stock or just an error on their site. She was completely unable to tell me this so with the choice of having to wait another month just to find out if they were full of it or not, I chose to cancel the order.

Lesson I learned from this is not to deal with any of these online appliance stores, do yourself a favor and deal with your local distributor, might cost you a few extra bucks but at least they'll treat you with basic dignity and respect.

Ordered refrigerator before Nov 21 before Thanksgiving and paid for install and 3rd person for delivery to second floor. It took 3 weeks for delivery. 2 people showed up and dropped fridge off in the garage. Said they need 4 people and to call the delivery company(AM) to find out when they get there. After a week of calling they sid they are working with AJ Madison to figure out who will pay and added $1200 cost. Called AJ Madison after dealing with AM and took a week for them to come back and tell me AM is refusing to install it. Claims worried about damaging the home. AJ offered a return or a refund of delivery charges plus extra cash back for me to find my own installer. Took 2 more weeks to find a company to install the unit on the second floor. Went to install handles sets and they were the wrong ones. AJ Madison refused to do an advanced replacement of the handles to get me what I ordered. I had to return them first. I arranged to buy a second handle set and have expedited shipment. It took 4 days to get the replacement handles. They were the wrong handle sets yet again. Again they refused to advance replace them even though they have not shipped me the right handles twice. I again ordered a third set of handles and returned the second set. 7 days later I have not gotten a refund for the returned set, I have not received any tracking information for my third order, and they have no tracking information in their database for my third order. They do not even know if it has been pulled and shipped, It is now Jan 18th 2 months from order on what was supposed to be 2 weeks to receive and install. I have had to jump through hoops to try and get my ordered parts to me and installed no thanks to them. I will never order from them again This was a $12,000 order of a GE Monogram Side by side to replace an 15 year old failed GE Monogram. It should not be this hard.

We placed an order for a hoodrange and days passes by we are waiting for an order confirmation, i would check status and said processing, almsot a week passed by and i decided we were going to order somewhere else, called to cancel our order at 8am they said we would get an email confirming such, 4 hours passed by and still nothing decided to reach oit to them again, for them to say it hasnt been done yet and i would get an email when they do! Whats so hard sbout cancelling an order? Do not buy from this company, horrible customer service

It's sad when something simple becomes so complicated. This is my first time ordering from AJ Madison and probably the last. I needed to replace a tenants AC so I chose AJ because of a in-stock quick delivery of 24-48hrs. My order was placed on July 28th and here I am on Aug 4th with no AC. I get nothing reassuring from AJ Madison's service department except "we are using a new delivery service and they can't tell us when its going to be delivery". Now their response is "its sometime next week"! They couldn't even give me a guarantee on a date the following week. The reason they kept saying was because they hired a new delivery service and their having problems. This process was unacceptable and upper management don't seem to want to satisfy "me" the customer. They didn't come up with any solution to delivery the AC now!

Today I'm on the fence. Cancel the order for NON-DELIVERY or wait it out. My tenants patience has been steadily diminishing. I have five other AC's to replace and a few refrigerators but surely AJ Madison can't be considered as they lack confidence on delivery.
I decided to cancel the order and receive a full credit (which I did get a week later). In the meantime, I ordered the same AC from PC Richards and received delivery in 48hrs with no problems and great updates along the way.

AJ Madison Appliances
This is an abbreviated summary of my experience. I ordered an entire kitchen appliance package for $8500 including installation, haul-a-way and extended warranty fees. They were two weeks late being delivered. When they arrived, the microwave was damaged and had to be returned. They were only able to hook up the fridge because they were not licensed for the stove or dishwasher. We wait another two weeks to have those installed and they were supposed to have the new microwave with them to finish the job. No microwave. I contact the company and they are now on backorder. I am offered another model that is acceptable. She refunds me the difference in price and assures my all of the other fees (installation etc) will transfer over. They have not and my microwave is still in the garage. I have emailed, and called numerous times and get no where. The customer service phone is useless. After stying on the line for almost an hour each time when I finally speek to a person, they put me on hold on the pretext of getting the right person and then I'm disconnected. I wouldn't think much about this but on August 31st it happened 4 times. I made a BBB complaint. Stay away from these people

DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON! They have nonresponsive customer service and a strategic restocking fee ( 35%) for intentionally profiting off online customers who click on their incorrect links on Google. We documented all the wrong links and sent to both Z-Line and AJ Madison for proof and got zero response back. This needs to be addressed and is lousy business practice. For example, although they understand they have incorrect links from Google that direct to the wrong product on their site – they make no attempts to update or revise the correct links while continuing to charge an additional 35% to customers who want the right product. This is both morally/professionally wrong and is a horrible strategy to gain and profit.

More than 50% of products on AJ Madison's site are INCORRECTLY linked from Google to their site – promoting an incorrect customer purchase which works in their favor since now they can charge that 35% restocking fee, which is all profit. This is WRONG.

Z-Line is unable to control its retailers as I had to call them more than a dozen times to reach anyone to rectify this mistake, and they were unwilling to support immoral behavior and bad practices from their retailers. This affects Z-LINE's reputation and brand recognition. This is an overall terrible practice.

Long story short, I purchased an oven range using a wrong link that directed me to AJ Madison's site with the incorrect part number. I ordered the wrong range using the link, and now they will not take accountability. They never confirmed my order, and they are now trying to stick us with their 35% restocking fee policy for me to order the correct range. Z-Line has also confirmed that there should be NO restocking fee for these wrong orders since the appliances are not even stocked at AJ Madison - they are stored at Z-Line. So WHY DOES AJ Madison continue to charge a restocking fee? They do this to profit off these wrong orders that are intentionally mis-linked and unfixable from AJ's Madison's site from Google.

I was very nervous about ordering a new range from a store that I could not visit, but my experience was very, very positive. By ordering from AJ Madison, I saved between $300 and $600 (depending on the store) off competitors' prices. There was no tax charged, so that was an additional savings. I was also very nervous about delivery, but that was probably the best part of the buying experience. I opted for the "white glove" delivery in which someone would hook up the new range and haul away the old one. AJ Madison shipped the range to the delivery company -- and there was no cost to me for this shipping. The delivery company charged only $50 to deliver, hook up, and haul away the old range. This is less than AJ Madison charges to drop the range off in a box without hookup. I am very, very pleased! (I live in Columbus, Ohio, and this delivery company delivers throughout Ohio.) My suggestion is to call AJ Madison directly when ordering. Tell them where you are and that you want to find out about having an item shipped and want the service where there will be delivery, hook-up, and haul away. They will quote you a price. It was my experience that the price they quoted ($105) was far more than what I had to pay ($50). The telephone representative took my order and did not charge for delivery because I opted for a higher level of delivery and this level of shipping is paid directly to the company that delivers. AJ Madison shipped to this company at no cost to me, and I paid the delivery company directly. Again, the total charge for delivery was only $50. This is less that Sears and Home Depot were charging for delivery!

Don't be suckered to buy from them - I tried to purchase 2 air conditioner heaters for a apt complex and got a reciept that said shipped with an email confirmation, a week later i had not heard anything so i called and it was then they were suppose to be delivered, but to my surprize they are now on backorder.
I tried to contact them for them to send me a comparable unit for the same price but the only thing they wanted to do was to sell me a more expensive unit. They will not work with you no matter what even if it is their fault. They tried to blame it on amana, but i called them and they told me which unit to tell them to send which is comparable, but i called aj madison and they said they would call me back but i havent heard anything yet, so when i tried again they were already closed. If this is the customer service you want deal with these people if NOT do not buy from them and maybe they will figure it out that customer service should be number 1, espacially when its their fault for not letting me know earlier or working with me.,... thanks for reading

Ordered 4 Bosch appliances on June 24,2021 for a kitchen renovation. Received a call from a sales rep who convinced me to switch to "in stock" options, a Lieber fridge and a larger Bosch cooktop than I needed. He told me he would "borrow" a dishwasher from another order to assure I received it. I received the substitute "in stock" appliances with no issue. Then things went south.

I understand there are supply chain issues; however, I continued to receive marketing promo emails encouraging me to order one of the remaining items right away because they were "in stock and ready to ship". When I inquired about the status of my order with customer service, I was told that I "just missed" my allocation and I was [second, third, or fourth] in line for the next shipment. Then I'd get another email promoting the item I'd ordered. I'd forward the promotional email to customer service with my order number asking why they are promoting these items. The replies typically read, "hopefully you'll get yours in the next allocation."

This is a BAIT & SWITCH SCAM. Over 8 months later, I finally send emails suggesting the BAIT & SWITCH SCAM and I receive an email saying my wall oven (advertised as "in stock and ready to ship") will ship and I'll receive a call in 2 business days to schedule delivery. My credit card is charged and I receive no call. I email customer service to inquire when my oven will ship and I'm informed the unit allocated to me was "damaged" so my shipment was "cancelled" and I'll receive an oven in the next allocation. No refund to my credit card.

I go to the AJ Madison website and use "live chat" to ask a sales agent if I order today, when might I expect to receive the wall oven and dishwasher. He says up to three months. I ask if it could ever take up to six. He responds, "possibly, but very unlikely." I ask why I ordered these items over 8 months ago and haven't received them yet. He gives me the email and phone for customer service and disconnects the chat. I take screenshots and send these to AJ Madison. They suggest I buy a lesser quality Bosch dishwasher because a shipment is arriving soon. I decline. I call another appliance company who tells me exactly where my place in line will be if I order the items from them. Ultimately, I cancelled my order for the remaining items and requested refund for "damaged" oven that was allocated to me and never shipped. I ordered from a competitor.

I purchased an electric range on 2/24 order# ******* along with their New leaf service Pro 1 unit 5 year warranty and Smart choice installation accessory. I paid the amount of $1,501.00 for the range. AJMadison committed to providing a brand new electric range that I did not receive. The range is severely damaged. Once I unpacked the range from the box. I saw there was no shrink wrapping on the stove as there was for the refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher that I also purchased from AJMadison. I have included photos of the damages on the range. The rubber seal that traps the heat from escaping from the range is broken. There is an enormous scrap near the bolt in the middle of the range where the door would clasp on to so it can lock. There are smudges all over the range. The bottom drawer is severely scrapped as if this is a refurbished range. There is heavy discoloration in the bottom drawer along both edges and backing of the drawer. There is a scrape along the upper right corner of the draw frame and the whole right side of the frame is warped. If you are facing the range, the right leg is broken and the screws are both stripped. Every time I call the company to speak with someone I am on hold for over 2 hrs. I am then advised I have reached the incorrect department and then connected over and disconnected on. I reached out to Megan Messing via email. I was advised my replacement has been approved. I will need to send the serial tag via UPS referencing my order number and ATT Megan. The business has yet to resolve my current issue due to my package not being received on their end with the serial tag. I have also sent the serial number via email per their request. I am demanding a full refund for this range and requesting the company send someone to pick up this NON-NEW REFURBISHED RANGE from my residence.
