After purchasing a SMEG refrigerator and it "shipping" within a day - I got crickets for 5 days on the site that was supposed to give me shipping updates. I don't expect it here - just some notice and updates.
I called customer service. 6 minutes later after waiting I got a person, gave her my number and she said "I'm actually going to have someone help you." and then she dumped me back into a queue where I am into 16 minutes of hold, and have had "7 callers ahead of me" for about 5 minutes...
I would never do business again with an organization that takes service so cavalierly.
Never again.
This place sucks, when I place d the order it showed it would ship and arrive within a couple of days - that's what made me decide to buy fro them. But it's been dragging on for weeks now and we're without a cooktop! Never order from them
Last week my 10 year old GE refrigerator died and I shopped online for a new one after doing a bit of research. AJ Madison had the best price and free shipping for a highly rated LG model I wanted.
I utilized their chat feature and Matt, the customer service rep couldnt have been more helpful. He helped me order installation as well as for the pickup of my old fridge.
Delivery was scheduled for today, and though the delivery was delayed, AJ Madison communicated the whole time to me via text messaging, calls, email and I used the online tracking service of the delivery company so I could see where the drivers were the whole time for the delivery.
I was hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews here - and that is why I wanted to post a positive one. The experience was good all around - start to finish and I have a great new refrigerator!
I purchased a Samsung appliance package from AJ Madison, only to receive the stainless refrigerator with a huge dent in it. I spend a total of 7 weeks trying to get it resolved. Every time I tried calling, I would spend at least 40 minutes on hold. When they finally opened a ticket with Samsung to repair the door, I had to PAY for the repair because AJ Madison was unreachable for the payment. I called Samsung directly, and all I got was that it was the retailer's responsibility. I will never buy from them again.
I got a really good 18 gauge stainless steel undermount dual sink from AJ and it was delivered without a scratch on it. Install was simple and it looked just like the picture. The price was rock bottom and lower than I could find anywhere. I would recommend AJ to anyone.
I ordered a GE free-standing induction range last summer and received it, by freight, in 2 days. It was in perfect condition and the price was great.
This past week I decided to go with AJ Madison for a new refrigerator, even though it was going to cost about $100 more than a competitor. Problem #1: The refrigerator is on back order. That's a problem because the $275 in advertised rebates will expire weeks before the refrigerator will even be back in stock in their warehouse. When I called their customer service they responded that I should just send the rebates in anyway - just don't fill in the serial number. After reading the fine print it's pretty obvious that that isn't going to work. Not only that but one of the two rebates doesn't apply to items on back order.
I decided to but it from a competitor who doesn't seem to have to these supply issues and was about $100 cheaper.
Update #2 The other retailer claiming they had the refrigerator in stock didn't and kept stringing me along. In the end, I got the same model in a different color from AJ Madison for what was the lowest price yet. It is in stock and should arrive in 2 days.
After being frustrated trying to buy a new washer and dryer set from the usual places without success -- no responses, no assistance, poor service, no product, bad attitude, etc. I searched online for another retailer. I found AJ Madison. I had never heard of you previously, but I thought I'd try. I went to the new Tysons Corner, VA location and I just can't believe my luck! Caleb Kizelewicz welcomed me at the door as if I was a long-time friend. He explained the options available and answered my questions -- providing answers/suggestions/options I didn't even think of! -- he is extraordinarily well-versed in all the products. But more than informed and knowledgeable, he is passionate about the products and providing outstanding service -- friendly, warm, thoughtful, patient, kind. He treated me as if I was the only customer. Because of Caleb, I purchased the set that day and the delivery, set-up, haul away -- everything was done to perfection! I can say, without hesitation, I've never been treated better! My next purchase will be a new dishwasher from Caleb at AJ Madison. I have told everyone who will listen about Caleb and AJ Madison -- he is pure gold!
Horrible customer service - terrible wait times on phone then you get i will email you or call you back and nothing... would give 0 stars if i could - 4 months into a order and i have received 2 of 4 pieces and cant get a straight answer out of anybody there all lies
I paid $4000 for a refrigerator at AJ MADiSON. I was given incomplete delivery and installation information. For two days i left a dozen emails and voice messages asking customer service for help and information. No one ever replied. I had no choice but to stop my amex payment until i heard from them. Customer service still never replied. The salesman said a manager would call me. It's been a week and a half and no one has ever contacted me again from aj madison. Time-wasting horrible experience form your company which flat out just doesn't care about the customer- (june, 2020)

I lost my home in hurricane Michael on 10/10/18. We were building a new home back and ordered appliances on 7/10/19. Today is 3/22/21 and I still do not have my Refrigerator and Freezer and their customer service department can't tell me when I would get them. I was originally told it would be October 2020. When I didn't receive them I was then told January 2021, then February 2021, and now March 2021. Since we were building a home I had to send spec sheets for appliances so my cabinets are built to accommodate this set. The salesman has been rude, not helpful and told me I have to call Customer Service which in itself is an oxymoron. This has been a nightmare... I did receive my oven and dishwasher after 1 year ordering but to this date haven't received the warranties that I paid for. Mary Ann
Terrible company very frustrating have to deal with them the delivery company they use that is supposed to be solid and is as liquid as water they are the worst and it's no coincidence since AJ Madison is no better. So, beware and avoid AJ Madison and their delivery service AM Delivery. Bad, Bad, Bad, Very Bad.
They have decent prices, but that's the end of the decent. As soon as you place your order you will get a call and they will hard-sell the extras, delivery, warranty, etc. They don't seem to care about service or happy customers. The only thing they want to grab more of your money. Avoid.
Untrustworthy! Nasty customer service/sales! I bought a microwave on their site. Received a confirmation email but the next day received an email stating that the order was cancelled (along with the meaningless, "We value your business" in the boilerplate). When I called about it, I was told that due to a "glitch", prices "went all screwy" on their site. I said that I did not expect them to lose money but I did expect some better price than the new one on the site. Asked for a manager, asked for the names of management: No one called me back and corporate receptionist would not give me management names, saying that it's public record. I asked, if it's public record, then why won't you give me their names and a way to contact them. She replied, "Just because."! Actions speak louder than words: they do not value my business.
My range broke, and I ordered a new one on September 20th. It was a week before it shipped and another two weeks to arrive. When It finally did arrive it was damaged and unusable. They promised to pick it up and send a new one, but they charged me for a second range and again took a week to even ship it. They tell me to expect delivery sometime between October 30 and November 7. This is beyond ridiculous. I desperately wish I had bought from a local store.
Appliances were ordered and paid for on May 18th. Not delivered until September with little to no communication despite repeated attempts. 2 of the items arrived damaged and photos were immediately taken. Spent about a month arguing with "customer service" to get what I ordered replaced. It is now October 26th and I still have not received the items I have paid for and my repeated emails are ignored. If you try calling they leave you on hold in perpetuity and IF you do speak to someone they will refuse to let you speak to their manager. Megan Messing their customer service rep should be fired immediately.
First it takes 30-60 minutes on hold to get to talk to someone. Then they blame the manufacturer for a product that never worked. They will email the manufacturer and get back to me. Of course that didn't happened. Called again after waiting a week - EXACTLY the same thing. They will email and will let me know when they hear back. I asked how long I should wait to hear. What happens if they don't hear back. Of course I should call back again. This is an endless loop where they do nothing to help the customer and the service reps are rude on the phone. DON'T BUY ANYTHING from this company.
I placed an order for a range in August, then received an email that said it was a special order despite being listed "in stock" and that I would have to wait 4 weeks for it to be made. After a few weeks, I called to check on the order status, and was told it would be arriving in their warehouse in early October and then shipping to me.
The day before it was supposed to be shipped to me, I checked in and was told that I had not approved the special order, and that they had tried to contact me numerous times by email. This is despite the fact that I approved the special order in August and had checked in by phone three other times. They lied about sending emails, with all the emails they referenced predated my call in August.
They are a terrible company, and you should avoid them at all costs.
Very disorganized, the delivery is after 3 months. I was told delivery would be after 5 days, After almost 3.5 months I am getting emails about the delivery now.
Worst online shopping experience ever. I am a real estate developer and placed a small order for 2 refrigerators, 2 stoves, a microwave good, stove hood, and a dishwasher. They claimed my CC wasn't working and called me about it. During that call I was told the dishwasher was on back order. They wanted me to change to a cheaper model, and I did. They did not credit me. They also recommended I pay extra for White glove delivery since I wanted the products asap. I did as well. I was told that it would process and be ready for shop the next day. That was Sept. It is Nov now and I've each of the last three days on job site waiting. It never comes and after delivery window I call and they say the next day each time. I also receive a new email to confirm next day delivery. No help from worthless idiots at AJ Madison. Solomon is a liar and scumbag. Don't buy or believe a word they print or say. Now trying to cancel and order elsewhere after waiting on these jerks for months
I ordered a washer/dryer set on May 29,2018. I was told that the dryer was not in the warehouse so there would be a week delay in shipping. I received an email of another delay on June 6, with no explanation, another email and another delay on June 13, again no explanation. I got shipping notification on June 20. I was told 7-10 days shipping, which put delivery on July 4, accounting for the holiday, I figured July 6th, the latest. After 4 phone calls, 2 promises of returned calls, 6 emails, 2 chat sessions, the shipping and delivery delays, it was finally delivered on July 11. All I was offered was a 1yr extended warranty on the washer. A total of $50.00 in value.
